After attempting to sync my iphone contacts with my windows live contact i now have no contacts showing on my iphone
i was messing about with my itunes contacts and attempted to sync all my windows live contacts with my iphone, i dont know what setting i have changed but i now have no contacts showing on my iphone, i have tried to restore my iphone but this failed.

The sync process for contact info and calendar events is a bidirectional or true sync process. You can't transfer only contact info and calendar events available on your iPhone only to the supported application on your computer. Contact info and calendar events available in the supported address book and calendar app on your computer and contact info and calendar events available on your iPhone will be synced so the info available on both is identical.
If you have a MM account, you need to sync the supported address book on your computer with your MM online address book first. After confirming your MM online address book matches the supported address book on your computer, follow this by enabling over the air syncing for contact info with your MM account on your iPhone. This will erase all existing contact info on your iPhone and replace it with your MM online address book info, and the same for calendar events.
If you have contact info available on your iPhone that is not available with the supported address book on your computer, you need to sync your iPhone's address book with the supported address book on your computer via the iTunes sync process first. Follow this by syncing the supported address book on your computer with your MM online address book. After confirming the supported address book on your computer matches your MM online address book, enable over the air syncing for contact info with your MM account on your iPhone. After this, your iPhone's address book will be kept synchronized with your MM online address book which is kept synchronized with the supported address book on your computer and vice-versa.

Select the Advanced tab
Look for Maintenance
Under Troubleshooting click POP, IMAP and HTTP

No, iPhone 4 is not capable of Siri. Currently only the 4S. After IOS 6 is released the iPad 3rd Gen will also be capable. But that is all.

I have an Ipad2, an Iphone 4 . I want to be able to sync both of these with my Windows desktop and Outlook 2007. I would like to sync to and from the Idevices and Outlook. When I attempt to sync in itunes I get a popup message asking if I want to delete, Merge or cancel. Not wanting to delete of cancel the only option left is Merge.
When selecting Merge all of the entries in outlook are added to the idevice. The next time I merge all of the same entries plus any new ones are added, resulting in older entries being repeated i.e an entry like “John’s Birthday” will appear 5 or 6 times on the same date.
How do I resolve this issue? How do I get the the sync process to add only new entries?This is a great question. First, facetime will not work because it has to establish a Call connection first. iMessage should work, but how to get it going I am not sure. Two great Apps to try are, Viber and Skype. Viber is excellent, it works over WiFi, you can make free calls and free text messages all over the world with other users who have Viber installed. It does not even have to be open on screen to work. Viber does have to recieve one text message with activation code, to activate it, this will be your only hurdle, but maybe Verizon can help you get that one text message. Skype does have to be open on screen however, but this can function like Facetime with WiFi connection. Definitely get Viber free in App Store, and put it on all your iDevices so the old Verizon iPhone can function as a telephone when on WiFi.

On the Apple website, I read that you must run OS 10.6.8 in order to sync the iPhone 5 with the computer. However, in the tech specs on the "Buy the iPhone now" email I received at my .me email address, it listed the OS sytem needed as 10.5.8. Which is it?
In Reply to all fellow Apple fans: It is great that someone found a work-around to the iTunes 11.4 no syncing problem. I think that is fine for the short term. And I am really glad that we customers have a forum to share information and experiences regarding Apple's products. However, as someone here said, we are all customers; and posting a problem here "IN HOPES THAT APPLE READS THESE POSTS" is NOT a way to resolve this issue or any issue.
PLEASE CONTACT APPLE: Apple Service Center: 1-800-275-2273 - Once you get a ticket number then and only then is this documented and then Apple can follow-through and alert the engineers who will fix this.
The "CWA2" work-around band-aid does several things in addition to reverting back to iTunes 11.3.1. :
1) It ensures that Apple continues to know nothing of the problem.
2) It ensures that the faulty code that is within 11.4 remains there and is perpetuated into future versions.
3) It ensures that YOU can never upgrade to future versions. (If the resident faulty code remains and perpetuates)
So once you have reverted back to 11.3.1, the problem APPEARS to have gone away (FOR YOU) but you have not solved the problem.

1) Sending feedback to apple (using the "Report Bugs To Apple" menu item in Safari will get the information to someone, somewhere and add it to the pile of issues, complaints, suggestions, etc.
2) CALLING the Apple service/support Center at 1-800-275-2273 will put you in touch with a real APPLE person who will begin the process of documenting and forwarding this issue on to those who will fix it.

3) emailing Apple directly will make sure that they get the information.

How can I ync iPhone 3Gs with my Windows 7 PC, when iTunes does not launch when I connect the iPhone to my computer? Note: My computer crashed and I am reinstalling everything.
Syncing to a new iTunes library or computer will erase your phone. Only if you back up your phone manually before syncing, you can restore your device from that backup again. A manual backup does not include the sync process.
Do this:
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your phone to your new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your device without syncing.
Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
When you connect your phone for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the iPhone for the first time.
Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in iTunes and transferred your purchases.

Hi! I have an iPhone 4S with iOS 6.1.3 and I have iTunes 11.1.3.8. on my Windows 8. Now I can't sync my iPhone, because the device is not recognised by iTunes. Somebody have any idea why, or what can I do (except refresh the iPhone software) ?

No. You can set up as a new device or restore from iCloud or iTunes. It looks like you backed up with iTunes, so you can't restore with iCloud. To backup your device in iCloud, go to Settings > iCloud and activate it

have Mozilla Firefox as my browser vs Internet explorer. This morning when I tried to open Mozilla after several attempts it said it had crashed with a window that I could check the box to send the report to Mozilla but it wont even let me send the report I can get on the internet with explorer but dont want to go back to that so would I just delete mozzila and start all over or will that not clear up the problem? I recently updated my iphone 4S with IOS 7 and suddenly last weekend all my contacts was just suddenly wiped out! I have been using this phone for almost 2 years and never had this problem! I reset my phone and restore the back up and it worked for a week and last night the same thing happen again! Are these glitches and a problem with IOS 7? What should I do?

i have seen a lot of people do this when they impatiently disconnect the iphone before completing and update.
Simple restore the iphone from your last back up.
