After going through the process for an upgrade, we completely lost Mozilla. We get a message saying that we don't have permissions. How can I get the previous version back on my computer?
My husband received a message saying that there was an upgrade for FF Mozilla, so he proceeded to upgrade. After doing so he received a message saying we didn't have permissions. I took the laptop to the Geeks at Best Buy and was told that it was a software issue. We just want to get back to our previous version but can't do that either.
Do a clean (re-)install:
* Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
* Firefox 4.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
* Do not remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

When I connect my Nikon coolpix S9200 to the camera adaptor I get a message saying this device uses too much power, how can I overcome this?
You are probably seeing this message because the camera uses the same port to charge it. The iPad can not supply the power to charge devices from it's dock connector. Also if you use the SD card adapter you are not using up the camera's battery for transferring the photos.

Like I said, my back up broke and I can't get all of my music back by transfering purchases because I burned a lot of CD's I had collected from the past. I don't have any of those CD's anymore, so how can I get all of my music onto my new iTunes? Or am I just S.O.L.?

I just got this computer today, everything works fine but I cannot connect to the internet. The Wi-Fi thing in the top right corner tells me that im connected, but when I try to open Safari, it says that I am not able to connect to the internet. I have done everything the computer has told me, and i still can't connect. I need help please!!
The problem lies between your router and the ISP.
Pull the modem or router/modem power plug, wait about 30 seconds and plug it back in to establish a new connection to the ISP.
Try another website, another device and see if that works if not then call your ISP for assistance and/or reconfigure the router.
If your router isn't secure and you had bad leechers the ISP might have suspended the access or perhaps met the monthly data cap rate.

i had purchased a game for my kid, and after he played for a while, there was a message that popped up saying that iCloud backup can not access my account and it has 2 buttons on it, one says ignore, the other says settings, but none of them does anything when i touch them and my iPad is frozen i can not do anything on it. the message says to review my account info in settings, but it won't let me get into settings or restart the iPad, it doesn't even let me slide to unlock my iPad. please tell me what i can do to slove this problem. thank u!

I had the same problem and I found this answer to a similar question to ours, so I copied and pasted it for you
Reset the device by holding down the home button and the sleep/wake button at the same time for approximately 10 seconds. After it resets the message will be gone and you can go to settings > icloud and put in your password.
That seems to be a bug with the password alert where it won't respond correctly sometimes.

Unfortunately it isn't possible to merge 2 Apple ID's. You would need to export the data from contacts, calendars etc and import it into the other account before logging out of the account that you do not wish to use. -
In the video: mission control in action in Mac 101,we see many open windows which I don't have. How do they get there?
On modern MBairs, the F3 key will take you to Mission control. Once there, hold the Option key down and you'll see a tab with the "+" sign on it. Pressing this will add another desktop. You can assign apps to desktops or just drag them there. Switching between desktops is done by swiping either 3 or 4 fingers across the trackpad. (depend on the option chosen in System Preferences > Trackpad).

I am going through a divorce and she has the computer. I'm trying to tranfer my music to a new computer but for about 100 songs its asking for her authorization password that I dont have. How can I get these songs transfered or can I?
It sounds like two Apple accounts were used in the purchase of songs, yours and hers. Assuming she won't give you her password, you're kinda stuck. For $129 or so you can repurchase them all.
By the way, if she has the computer and it has your account info in it, you ought to change your password. -
My iphone is disabled.Followed the steps in itunes after connecting to my computer but getting a message saying that i must turn off 'find my iphone'' on my device before i can restore it.Impossible for me to do that because i obviously have no access to my device.Can anyone help me with this problem please?
I think you should call via phone or perhaps take it to a phone store. I suggest taking your id, box packaging and other necessities such as the reciept of the phone being purchased.

After using my browser (any of them) for a period of time I get a message saying that a page can't be opened. I have to reboot again. Clearing the cache doesn't help. It's very annoying. It even happened in the middle of a chat with Apple online support. I'd be very grateful for help!
Several things come to mind ... when you say your wife uses the same system with a different login and doesn't have issues, that suggests looking at your login items. Go to System Preferences (on your dock or on your hard drive in Applications), accounts, and on your account look at login items. Anything there that shouldn't be or isn't used? If you don't know, create a new account for yourself with no login items, and see if you still have the issue.
Next, I would run OnyX, which is a free disk maintenance program. You can download it from http://www.titanium.free.fr/download.php . Do the tasks on the cleaning and maintenance tabs. Before using any disk maintenance software, you should have a system backup. I periodically run it, and others have found that it can help with performance.
You might look at how you're system is using memory. You should have enough but it's easy to check. Bring up the Activity Monitor (on your hard drive in Applications/Utilities), and look at the system memory tab. Note page ins and page outs. If page outs are 10% to 15% more than page ins, you can use more memory for the programs you run. A page out occurs when memory is full and OS X has to write a section of memory to the hard drive. Too much of this can really impact performance. The optimal situation is for page outs to be zero. Note these values reset on a system boot. -
When I try to open my downloaded photos from a DVD through finder the computer says that I don't have permission to view the files.
This is something that has just happened recently.Copy the images to your Pictures folder or Desktop and then try again.
If that doens't work, then do #6 here, (Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs)
that will set the permissions to you.
