What version of the OS did you upgrade from ?
Anything before OS X 10.8.2 may have an issue if the Logic/Mother board has been replaced and the Serial Number not "flashed" back to it.
In the Apple Icon menu use the About this Mac item.
In the new panel click twice on the line that tells you the current OS level
It will change to the Build number (and alternative count to the OS versions) and then the Serial Number.
If it is missing you need to get it replaced.
(It is supposed to be done on Repair or Refurbishment).
An Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider as the best choices.
There are apps you can download (They are Mac Model specific) but needs careful typing as it is a once only trip.

We are getting the following error "there is a problem with adobe acrobat/reader. if it is running please exit and try again. (523.523)" and a gray screen appears (Image not viewable) with multiple users. We are using Adobe Reader XI (11.0.05) and (11.0.06). The current workaround is to log off the website and log back in. Once the user logs back in, the pdf will appear. However it occurs anywhere from 2-8 times in a day. Anyone else having this issue or know of another workaround? Any suggestion with how to fix? Please help!!

Please let me know the version of Adobe Acrobat/Reader & operating system installed on your computer?
Also, try this:-
Launch Adobe Reader/Acrobat.
From the menu, choose Edit -> preferences -> General
Uncheck the option for "Enable Protected Mode at startup"
Restart the Adobe Reader and web browser.

I have this Windows 2008 R2 on which I installed remoteapp some years ago.
Now the certificate expired and I get the message
"There is a problem with this connection's security certificate
The remote computer cannot be authenticated due to problems with its security certificate.
Security certificate problems might indicate an attempt to fool you or intercept any data you send to the remote computer."
How should I renew the certificate? I already went to certification store and tried to renew certificate with same key but then it says "the request contains nor certificate template information".

Jan HoedtDoes the computer account have Enroll permission to the certificate template?
From the Server running your CA, run mmc, click File then Add/Remove Snap-in...
Add Certificate Templates and click OK.
Find the certificate template, then right click and select properties. On my CA its call ed RemoteDesktopComputers but might be called something different depending on what what template your certificate is based on.
On the security tab, click Oblect types, check Computers then OK. Enter the Computername and click OK. Then give your computer account Enroll permisssion.

What version of Reader are you using, and are you on Mac OS or Windows? Do you get the same error when you try to print other PDF files, or is the problem specific to one PDF?

After installing Mavericks I cannot make any Administrator required changes?
I have downloaded Mavericks but ever since then I cannot install any software that requires an Administrator password. I have checked under Preferences and it is still correct but when installing software it simply doesnt ask me to enter the password and then does not progress to actual installation.

Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.desktop.plist
Click Go then move the com.apple.desktop.plist file to the Trash.
Restart your Mac. Then try changing the desktop wallpaper. -
How do I update iPhoto after installing Mavericks, I cannot access my iPhoto library?
I updated my OS to Mavericks from OS Lion and now my iPhoto is out of date and will not open so I can access my photos. I tried to update it from the apps store and it told me my Apple ID was not the one that had been registered or created when the Mac was bought.

When I had iOS 5, both FaceTime and iMessage would work great. Since I have upgraded to iOS 6, it says that there is a problem verifying my apple ID and then says that there was a problem activating. I have tried everything I can think of and none of it seems to work. I have restord my iPhone, I have used a different ID, I have tried it over a different wi-fi connection, and I have signed in and out of my apple ID Nothing seems to work. Any help would be much appreciated.
It is usually quicker to get a reply if you provide all relevant information, e.g. your operating system / your Reader XI version.

Please, Apple Inc, try to fix it. It's very easy to do. If I am downloading a firmware version from iTunes and an error occurs with the download , you should put a button that reads "Continue the download from the interrupted part", no only a "OK" button that finishes the download and I have to start all again when I want to retry. Solve it, please.
