After installing SP2, reconnected mailbox take 24+ hours to become available

The other day, we install SP2 on our 1 back-end and 2 front-end Exchange 2010 servers.  All are on 2008 R2.  After SP2 was installed, if we want to reconnect a deleted/disconnected mailbox, it lets us without issue.  However, when we try to
access that mailbox in OWA, we get:  "Your account has been disabled."  Additionally, when opening the account (or any reconnected account) in EMC, everything looks perfect except that we cannot click on the Calendar Settings tab.  If we do,
we get an error saying "cannot open mailbox "Full DN of the System Attendant" when running the command "get-calendarprocessing..."  Please note that we can create new accounts/mailboxes without issue and the reconnected mailboxes seem to begin working
after a full day.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Tom,
Base on my test, this is common behavior.
After restart Exchange Server you can use that mailbox or wait for a while.
Thanks.

  • Excel 2010 SP2 opens files slowly after installing SP2

After installing SP2 Excel is opening files very slowly. Files can be on network share or locally, no matter. If Excel is already open, then the file opens fast as it has opened before. OS is Windows 7 64-bit, and Office Professional Plus is 32-bit. Ecxel
itself opens fast, but is slow when I double click file. Slow is about 12 seconds and fast is about 1 second with a 31 KB file from network. Network itself seems to be OK, anf Word files open fast.

From your description, I understand that you open EXCEL 2010 SP2 32-bit slowly in Windows 7 64bit.
Try to start Excel in safe mode. Then, open the Excel file.
Start the Excel program in safe mode
    1.       Click Start, point to All Programs, and then point to Microsoft Office.
    2.        Press and hold the CTRL key, and then click the Microsoft Excel.
If the problem does not occur in the safe mode, this issue might be related to some third-party add-ins in the Excel program, we can try to disable them.
Normally, you could do the following to disable the conflict add-ins in your Excel program:
    Disable add-ins
Click File menu, click Options >  Add-in, click Go button in the Manage: Com-in Add.
Check if there are any add-ins, clear the checkbox to disable them.
Close the Office program and restart it.
Add one check back each time to the list of Add-In, restart the Office program, and repeat the above procedure. Once the issue reappears again, we can determine which add-in causes this problem and then disable it.
Please take your time to try the suggestions and let me know the results at your earliest convenience.  If anything is unclear or if there is anything I can do for you, please feel free to let me know.
Is the performance also slow when you trying to open?
At this time, we can also try to test this issue in the clean boot mode.
    Test in Clean boot Mode
    ===============
Let’s disable all startup items and third party services when booting. This method will help us determine if this issue is caused by a loading program or service. Please perform the following steps:
    1.       Click the Start Button type "msconfig" (without quotation marks) in the Start Search box, and then press Enter.
Note: If prompted, please click Continue on the User Account Control (UAC) window.
    2.        Click the "Services" tab, check the "Hide All Microsoft Services" box and click "Disable All" (if it is not gray).
    3.       Click the "Startup" tab, click "Disable All" and click "OK".
Then, restart computer. When the "System Configuration Utility" window appears, please check the "Don't show this message or launch the System Configuration Utility when Windows starts" box and click OK.
Note: Temporarily disabling the Startup Group only prevents the startup programs from loading at startup. This should not affect the system or other programs. We may still manually run these programs later.

  • Slow booting after installing SP2

    Hi,
I have been experiencing this problem after istalling SP2 on my Toshiba M30. I istalled SP2 few times before and unistalled it for that same reason. The boot up time is now around 2.5 min istead of 30 sec before istallation. I installed SP2 on a cleaned machine (removed spyware, cleaned registry, defragmented and so on), followed all necessary steps. But still the same. I get the machine loading around 1 min before it gets to wallpaper, before SP2, right after the welcome sound it went to wallpaper, then icons and the bar and I was done. Now, welcome sound, then 30-40 sec, then wallpaper and nothing for 1-1.2 mins and then I get icons, bar and machine becomes operational. Nobody from my fiends have this problem. Please, if anybody knows what to do - let me know. Thank you!

    Hi
As far as I can remember the SP2 installs additional firewall and security settings. Its possible that all this features loads at the beginning. This takes several times.
You could check the background processes and the applications which start at the beginning.
This can be check in the msconfig. Type the command msconfig in the run window and check the startup tab.
The booting procedure takes a little bit longer on my notebook because of the antivirus application which loads at the beginning.

  • Problems Getting to Sites After Installing SP2 and Dec CU

Our setup was running great for the last year and a half.  We decided to install SP2 and the CU’s that had been released since. The updates and CU installs went fine. However, after the install we are having problems with users being prompted
with credentials.   When going to any of the sites (not AAM) our users can get in fine. However, if we browse to one of the other sites we are continually prompted for credentials and can’t get in. For example, if I go to
App1 I get in fine but, when I go from App1  to App2 , I continually get prompted for credentials. If I start by going to App2 I get in fine but continually get prompted for credentials when going from App2 to App1. In addition, if I go to
any of the AAM’s I get in just fine. However, if I try to go to any other site after this, I get the credential prompts. It seems like an issue with the session.
I have looked through the event logs, used the trace utility, fiddler and tried changing the auth setting s with no luck, no apparent problems in the logs or detail.
Any advice or help would be appreciated. Again everything worked until we installed the updates

  • Capacity after installing 4.0 "Other" takes up over 2GB

After installing 4.0, "Other" which I assume is 4.0 now takes up 2.11 GB of space on my 8GB iPod Touch. That seems like an awful lot of space for just the operating system. Is there any way to get back more space so I can have more fun? Or, is "other" something else that I don't know about? Enlighten me.

As already mentioned, only a restore can reduce the big "other" section. Something went wrong during the sync process, that's why it got that big.

  • Megstick128 no longer works after installing SP2 on WinXP

As far as I can tell, once I installed SP2 for Winxp, I can no longer use my Megastick128. It appears to recognise the device but no longer sets up the drive so I can transfer files.
Has anyone else had this problem? How the hell do I rectify it?
    (And don't say 'simply don't install SP2'!!)
    Thanks.
    Simon.

By when you write "click on the address book", I'll presume you mean you click on the Address Book icon in the Dock.  Did you ever move around things in the Applications folder?  In general, it's not a good idea to move Apple's applications from their normal locations.
To verify this, click-and-hold on the Address Book icon, then when the pop-up menu appears, roll to "Options", then to "Show in Finder".  I'll guess that the folder of the resulting window is not of the Applications folder.
To fix the problem in the short run, drag the Address Book icon out of the Dock.  Then open the Applications folder, find Address Book, and drag it to the Doc.  Eventually you'll want to delete the old applications, but in Lion that's harder to do than previously.

  • After installing iLife Support 9.0.4 - network login becomes locked

I'm experiencing a strange issue after installing iLife Support 9.0.4
I am on a corporate network using Active Directory. I use Connect to Server every day to access all my files for work.
    Here is my scenario:
    1. Startup OR Restart my MacBook
    2. Login to my user account
    3. Finder -> Connect to Server (i.e. smb://server/location/etc/)
    4. My network credentials are saved in my keychain, so it tries to connect
    5. My network account becomes locked.
After #5 I have to call our Help Desk to unlock my network account.
Once my account is unlocked, everything works fine - I can use Connect to Server, Entourage email, etc.
Unfortunately I am unable to use Time Machine due to our company policies
    Any insight would be appreciated.

I just dragged all of the 1 January 2001 Prefs out of my folder and restarted and it looks like its working, including the keychain. I'll keep monitoring this...

  • Leopard install says it will take 24+ hours... how can I speed things up?

I encountered some issues with my previous installation of Leopard, so I decided to format, and re-install it.
I start the installation using "Erase and Install" and after the disk verifies, I start the installation. Only problem is, the installation's giving me an estimated time remaining of 26 hours.

    Welcome to Apple Discussions:
That first estimate can be very erroneous. It should quickly settle down to a more reasonable number.

  • After install all my programs take on Adobe icon and cannot be accessed

I have installed Adobe Reader X, XI, and then 9.5.0 and this is happening everytime and I have to uninstall.  I don't know what version I originally had but when the Reader X (10.1.4) was installed or updated this happened and now I cannot open PDF files.  This is unreal!
This happened a few days ago while installing Zinio (the magazine reader).   I have been searching and searching the Adobe site for answers but I am back to square one.

I don't know how many times I have posted this.
You can try using this tool to remove all traces of previous version(s) of Reader:
    http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
Then, you may download the offline Reader installer from
    http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
After downloading, restart your computer and run the installer before doing anything else.

  • Some troubles after installing SP2

    Greetings to all,
we're experiencing some troubles after the installation of the service pack 2 for Excelsius 2008: formatting options of various components are not matching what we see on the dashboard in preview mode (for example, values in horizontal progress bars or values in list views show numbers like 123.456,78000 while the formatting option is set to 2 decimals and show thousand separator. Same strange behaviour in percentage values where you see 00% while the relative option is set to percentage, 1 decimal).
Is there any workaround or any solution to this problem?
    It's quite annoying.
    Thanks for your help

    Hi Claudio,
you only need to use a crossdomain file if your Xcelsius model is retrieving data from a domain different than yours.
Error 2170 is from a security nature in adobe. Mark your files as trusted here:

  • I am trying to perform an iCloud backup after 10 weeks, should it take 64 hours to perform?

I have been trying to perform a backup to iCloud and at one point it said remaining time was 64 hours.  Is this normal time since last backup was 10 weeks previous?

No, not unless you have a massive amount of data and a very poor internet connection.  However, the estimate can be wildly off, especially at the beginning.  Has it be backing up long?

  • After installing iOS update 6.1.4, messages has become all but unusable.

The app, upon opening it after waking the phone, immediately freezes and crashes. It takes roughly ten to twenty seconds of being locked up before crash.
Has this happened to anyone else and is there a troubleshoot?

    Hello thedukewindsor,
I was looking into the issue you are describing and think I have a resource that may help resolve it. Its from our iPhone Troubleshooting Assistant found here http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/phone
Steps 1, 3, and 5 will be the ones to focus on to help resolve the issue:
    Restart iPhone
To restart iPhone, first turn iPhone off by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button until a red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider and iPhone will turn off after a few moments.
Next, turn iPhone on by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Is iPhone not responding? To reset iPhone, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If your device does not turn on or displays a red battery icon, try recharging next.
    Close App
If only a single app has stopped responding or closes on launch, try the following:
Return to the Home screen, and then click the Home button twice.
Tap and hold on the app.
When it starts to jiggle, tap the - to close it.
Double-click the Home button and try opening the app again.
    Restore iPhone
To restore your iPhone, first make sure you are using the latest version of iTunes.
Next, connect iPhone. In the left column under Devices, click on your iPhone, then click on Restore in the Summary tab.
For more information about backing up, updating, and restoring your iPhone software, see this article
Note: This will delete all media and data. All settings will be reset as well. If possible, sync iPhone with iTunes before restoring to back up your most recent data and settings.
    Cheers,
    Sterling

  • EMAIL problem after installing 10.10.2

I noticed that an email I sent out last night (through gmail) had not gone out.  I also noticed that one of my emails had an image that wouldn't download.  The email was there, but not the image.  I got the circle, and eventually a timeout notice.  I can't delete the email in question; it just comes back.  Any idea what might be going on here?  My other three accounts are working okay -- or at least it seems so.

After installing the delta version of this update on an Intel-based Mac, the computer will restart two times--the first restart after installing this update may take several minutes; please allow it to complete.
