After installing the add-on compatability add-on, Firefox will no longer load web pages or allow me to enter anything in the address bar and has added an additional title bar at the top of the page.
When I open Firefox now, instead of opening up the standard Mozilla start page, it simply opens up a new tab page. Typing in the address bar and then hitting enter results in the address bar being cleared and the page staying the same. Attempting to send feedback via the add-on just opens another new, blank tab. For some odd reason, the Windows title bar has also come back above the orange Firefox button and the tabs.
I am unable to access the add-ons page to uninstall the add-on compatibility add-on to see if that will solve my problem and I have tried uninstalling the beta and reinstalling it, but the problem still remains.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

Sure enough that's not enough to release Norton's tentacles in your system, there's an uninstall tool on their website (a whole set of them actually) that managed to carve it out completely and after a restart everything was back to normal. My machines will definitely be Norton-free from now on ... N

I have long had a hotmail account. I can no longer access this through firefox although explorer does so with no problems. I have gone to ninemsn.com.au and clicked on the hotmail button. It tries to open a page but goes to some long address starting with mocrosoft US. The page is blank and nothing further happens.

After installing the most recent iTunes update/version iTunes will no longer run on my PC (Windows 7). I receive multiple error windows with the Microsoft error code R6034. Microsoft's Help site states that this error occurs when a driver attempts to access the C++ library without a "Manifest". Firefox will no longer connect me to the internet. I can connect to the internet using Internet Explorer, but not Firefox. Prior to this problem my McAffee security was giving a message that a Firefox program was trying to run but McAfee didn't recognize it. I chose to block it from running since I didn't know what it was. I have uninstalled Firefox and tried to reinstall Firefox from the download link at Mozilla.org. This did not fix the problem.

I have a macbook pro and a photosmart D110 printer. I was told that if I load the software for the printer onto my mac that it will no longer print wierlessly. Is that true and how can I scan wirelessly without loading the software? Also, can I just connect my mac to the printer with a cable and scan or do I need that software loaded onto the mac? If you are running Lion then all drivers are distributed through Software Update. You do not need to install anything, other than to install the printer in System Preferences > Print & Scan. If you already added the printer while it was connected using USB, you might want to delete it and set it up again wirelessly to avoid confusion. Or, give them two distinct names e.g. "Photosmart D110 (USB)" and "Photosmart D110 (wireless)".
All scanning functions are now performed using Preview, but you can also access the scanner through the same Print & Scan preference pane, or with Image Capture.

Safari will no longer load any images in the browser. What could be the problem?

Firefox will no longer run on my computer. It's been working fine up until a few days ago. Installed the updates and now nothing. Uninstalled, reinstalled (numerous times). Click the icon and nothing. Hour glass comes up for a second and then it is gone. Running XP ver 5.1 (service pack 3) edit. I'm no techie so I have no clue what is causing this or what to do. I love firefox and miss it greatly. Anyone know what I can do to get it back?

Office 2004 Applications Won't Work in Lion
You must have Office 2004 which is a PPC-only suite and will not work in Lion. You need to upgrade to Office 2011 - Mactopia - or you can try the freeware suite, Libre Office, that is functionally similar to Office 2007 for Windows except it works on Lion.
