After installing win7 I had 16 of 50 GB left

How do I figure out what is taking up all that space and what can I do to reduce it?
I have a late 2009 iMac 27" core i5 266GHz with 12 GB of RAM. 1TB HD.

That link isn't telling you how much you need but will allow you to make your own determination. Heck, even those involved in the design of Windows have admitted that the limits they chose were "somewhat arbitrary."

Is the version of Windows 7 Ultimate you have installed 32bit or 64bit?
Open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Sound, Video and Game Controllers - do you see an existing entry for the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC listed here?
There is an alternative IDT Audio driver you may wish to try on the following link.

HT1338 Can't access my mac os side after installing win7

I just installed windows 7 on my new mac using boot camp. I followed all the steps but after installing win7 there is no way I can access my mac os partition. I tried to reboot with the Alt/option key pressed but I am presented with a window asking me to provide a password. When I enter my password, it won't let me in. It just delete the password. I have re-tried several times but it won't work. My question are:
1. Is there any way I can install windows support software (for the driver) from bootcamp since I cannot access my mac side.
2. I tried to download and install bootcamp but it doesn't work since it says I do not need to install any bootcamp update.
3. Is there any ways I can go past the mac password screen? I really don't understand why it doesn't accept my password. I am the only administrator and user of my computer

You have to install Boot Camp drivers. On Mountain Lion, you have to download them.
First, press X key while your Mac is starting to start into OS X. Then, open Boot Camp Assistant and select the option to download the drivers. You will have to burn them into a DVD or USB drive, so after downloading them, restart and install them into Windows

After installing Win7, I created an 3a. partition and now I can't boot with Win7

After installing Win7 with success, I created an other data partition and now I can't boot with Win7 anymore. What can I do?

HDX18t unrecognized devices after installing Win7

After a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate, Device Manager reports three Base System Devices without drivers and two Unknown Devices (ACPI\ENE0100 *ENE0100) and (USB\VID_138A&PID_0001&REV_0372 USB\VID_138A&PID_0001).
As far as I can tell, all the USB ports work correctly, as does everything else I have tested (some ports I don't use). I presume ACPI has something to do with power management, but I can't find any other indications of power problems -- although I had to replace the battery not long before installing Win7 because it wasn't charging.
What are these five devices, and how can I find drivers -- especially for the three that don't seem to identify themselves?
I tried to use the "automatically find your products and solutions" tool, but it won't load into the latest version of SeaMonkey, and with IE9 it appears to start but shows zero progress after more than an hour.
Any suggestions?

Still restarts after instalation WIN7

Hi everyone,
I have problem, I have bought Lenovo IdeaPad G570 without OS. I tried to instal WIN7, everything going fine, but at the end of instalation, notebook wrote "logon process initialization failure" and still restarts. In instalacion I deleted partitions, and format the new one so i havent my backup file. I tried to recover it, but still the same. Could you help me pls.

System get restarted after installation of windows. I would suggest you to kindly check the SATA mode controller in the BIOS mode, change it to IDE or compatible mode. To do so please restart the system and press F2 key continuously, Bios screen will appear.
Also you can check with other operating system.

Satellite A300 (PSAG8E) - Hardware problems after installing win7 ultimate

Hello and good day,
I've installed win7 ultimate a few days ago and windows managed to recognize most of my hardware accept my build in mic and camera and another component I am not sure about what it is (Windows update automatically downloaded the sound and graphics driver for me).
My questions are - where can find the remaining drivers and where can I get the preinstalled Toshiba tools and software? (The driver site in the Toshiba support page does not include those drivers and software)

I have Satellite A300 (PSAG8E) too and installed Win7 Home premium and everything works perfect.
At first I must say that I don't know where you have searched drivers and Toshiba tools and utilities because all stuff is downloadable on Toshiba support & download page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com
It is logic that mic will not work if you didn't installed proper driver. Install drivers alone and not using Microsoft update. What you need are real and tested drivers and not some free drivers from internet.
Go to Toshiba download page and install all stuff following this installations order:
-Win7
-chipset driver
-storage manager
-display driver
-sound driver
-modem driver
-supervisor utility
-infrared
-patches
-configfree
-VAP
-toshiba hardware setup
-HDMI control
-WLAN driver
Everything works well but missing some drivers
Added Vista stuff:
-Toshiba assist - work properly
-Card reader - installed properly
-Webcam driver for A500 - tested with Skype - work properly.
-Synaptics driver

After installing Win7 x32 SP1 I can not start Firefox. Not even in safe mode. I uninstalled Firefox and re-installed the program. Won't start.

After installing SP1 Firefox quit working and Internet Explore quit working. I can only use Chrome as a browser at this time.

A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

i have mac 27inch , i5. i install win7. installation was successful, but i found out that all the neccesary drivers were not yet install. like display ,ethernet , wireless connection ,etc .. help..!

Did you read ANY of the guides? You will want to read the Installation Guide at the top.

After installing win7 in bootcamp mac mini start only in windows

I did install win 7 Home edition premium on my mac mini the same way as I did on my iMac.
After the install I could booth Win7 but there was no bootcamp icon and it would always boot in win7.
No way to go back to Mac OS whatever key press I tried. And there was no bootcamp.exe.
As I am unning Lion and there i no DVD I installed bootcamp in Windows using the leopard DVD.
After restart it came back to Win7 and now the bootcamp icon was there. THrough teh bootcamp
icon i was able to restart in Mac OSX. From there I checked the harddrive and no error was reported.
I then when to bootcamp and set it to restart in Mac OSX. It did restart but didn't boot at all. Just get
the beep and that's it.
Nothing helps: option, D, Shift, P&R,...
I had a problem before that the Mac Mini would shutdown with no reason and no warning at random
times. I brought it to the Apple store and they allegedly repaired it. Could this be related?
I have other Mac mini (Intel) older and also the previous version with the DVD as well as a Mac Book Pro
and an iMac with excatly the same configuration and never had any problem.

Sound Problems after installing Win7

Hi all,
Updated to windows 7 two days ago, had to work out a few bugs, nothing major, but anyways some minor annoyance persists. I don't get the popup windows when I adjust volume/treble/bass and the mute button doesn't turn orange like it used to when I muted the laptop and I dont get the clicking noises indicating the level changes. Also I noticed that the speakers sound a bit different...kind of a horrid sound. I tried adjusting the equilizer but that didn't help. Minor inconveniences, I know, but I'd like to get my laptop working properly again. Anybody have any idea what course of action I should take?

Missing drivers after installing Win7

Hallo
On my just new macbookpro, i installed an original Win7 home premium 32bit.
All seemed to go right, Windows is working ok, but most drivers are missing!
How to pick them up from internet if you cant't be connected to??

Below is reproduced a procedure the BC Install Manual suggests.The Windows install DVD can do the same sort of thing if it is the Windows drivers that are missing.

If You Have Problems Installing the Device Drivers
If it appears that the Boot Camp drivers weren’t successfully installed, try repairing them.
To repair Boot Camp drivers:
1 Start up your computer in Windows.
2 Insert your Mac OS X installation disc.
3 If the installer doesn’t start automatically, browse the disc using Windows Explorer and double-click the setup.exe file in the Boot Camp directory.
4 Click Repair and follow the onscreen instructions. If a message appears that says the software you’re installing has not passed Windows
Logo testing, click Continue Anyway.
If you need to reinstall specific drivers, you can install one driver at a time. For example, if your built-in iSight camera isn’t working, you can reinstall just the iSight driver.
Individual drivers are in the Drivers folder on the Mac OS X installation disc.
To reinstall a specific driver:
1 Insert your Mac OS X installation disc. 2 Quit AutoRun if it opens. 3 Using Windows Explorer, locate the driver that you want to reinstall. 4 Open the driver to start the installation.

I've Tried To Look For A Sloution But With No Luck, But...
It's Seems That There Is Something Even More Weird Going On,
As You May Know Once You Install Photoshop CS5 (ME Or Not) On A Win7 64Bit OS
It Installs Both 32Bit And The 64Bit Versions... So Here's The Weird Part:
1. If I'm Typing In Hebew In Ther 64Bit Version - You Get The Letters Backwards
2. But If I Use The 32Bit, Evertyhing Seems To Be Working Okay...
What Do You Think Is Going On?
I Also Failed To Mention That I Also Updated To IE9 Perhaps It Is Causing The Problem Also?
