After running the recent update Iphone not detected by itunes

After running the recent iOS update on my iphone4, itunes no longer detects my iphone when I plug into my USB port.  I ran the troubleshooter and got no relief.  The phone also charges much slower from the USB than it used to but still seems to charge about the same when plugged into a separate power source.  The phone also does not indicated it is charging anymore even when plugged into a separate power source.

Duh Norm. Didn't find first time through.
That's why you have 32k points and I have close to zero.
Thanks much.

Find my iPhone App can only run in iPhone and not iTunes.  If you have activated iCloud and set Find my iPhone to ON, you can sign in to https://www.icloud.com to run Find My iPhone there.

  • After ios7 update iphone not showing in itunes on iMac as device

After running latest iphone (4s) update & having the latest itunes update on my iMac the iphone device is no longer showing in itunes. I have checked the USB & changed ports however this does not appears to be the problem as iphone still charging when plugged in. Without this showing as device I have no way to Sync anything.

    Hey Loxwood,
I found a few documented troubleshooting steps for when your iPhone doesn't appear on your Mac:
Ensure that your Mac meets the minimum system requirements for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Install software updates on your Mac.
Note: If an iTunes update is available, apply the update.http://apple.com/itunes/download
Check USB connections. iOS devices require USB 2.0 to function properly. If you're not sure your Mac has USB 2.0 ports, refer to the computer's specifications.
Disconnect other USB devices and connect your device directly to a USB port on your Mac.
    Restart your Mac.

  • After running the security update my dock has dissappeared

I just ran the latest security update, restarted, and the dock has gone. Checked all of the basics and by all accounts the dock should be visible but it isn't.
I would appreciate a little assistance.

Why downloading updates is inherently safer than using System Update
Some people recommend rather elaborate procedures: back up before updating; both before and after updating, clear caches, repair permissions, and run DiskWarrior; and so forth. None of this is likely to do any harm, but if updating is made overly complicated, users won't do it at all or, even worse, will just be confused.
On the other hand, it is reasonable to accept the premise that Apple's Software Update, as presently implemented, is inherently dangerous. An application is going to download important system components and replace my existing components with them, while I'm actually using the computer? You've got to be kidding! In fact, the goal during system component installation should be just the opposite, namely, to minimize use of the computer during installation.
Based on that premise, here are is a simple, minimalist procedure for performing system updates.
[Note: This procedure cannot guarantee that a system update will not break, or appear to break, some functionality of your computer. System updates can be badly written; and even when they are well written, computers are complicated, and Apple can't predict every possible contingency and configuration.]
    1. General principles.
    1. Leave all Apple-installed components where they are. Don't, for example, move Safari out of /Applications, or move your user Home folder.
    2. In System Preferences > Software Update, make certain that "Download important updates in the background" is not checked. If your computer has multiple users, do this for every user. It might also be wise to uncheck "Check for updates"; one user, the administrator, should then be responsible for checking manually for updates from time to time. (To do so, choose Apple > Software Update.)
    2. When an update is available in Software Update, do not press the Install button in the Software Update window. Instead, download any desired update packages individually and without actually performing the installation. Software Update allows you to do so, but this feature is not at all obvious, so here are instructions:
    1. Make sure there is a checkmark at the left of all and only the packages you want to download.
    2. Choose Update > Download Only. After performing the download(s), note the location, on your hard drive, of the downloaded material.
    3. [Note: Alternatively, go to http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/ and click the download link for the desired package. In the case of major system updates, this is the way to obtain the full "combo update", which is often better than the incremental update offered by Software Update.]
    4. Restart into Safe mode, by holding down the Shift key from the moment you hear the startup "bong" to the moment the "spinning gear" appears. Expect this startup to take longer than usual. Don't be alarmed if the fans whir loudly during the "spinning gear" display. Eventually you will be presented with the Safe Boot login screen. Log in as the administrator.
    5. Without launching any other applications, double-click one installer package and perform the installation. Do nothing else; just sit there and wait until the installation is complete.
    6. Repeat step 3 after every installation. Finally, restart normally. This, too, may take longer than usual, and you may experience a "double-restart." Be patient!

  • Iphone not detected on itunes and DFU mode isn't working

    Hi,
I tried updating my iPhone 4s (iOS 5.1 , not jailbroken) to the latest firmware using iTunes . I backedup my phone to my computer and proceded to update the firmare . During the process , after a few minutes , my phone just showed the "Connect to iTunes" picture , and the message on iTunes was " itunes is updating the software " .
I waited about 15 mins to see if there was any change or progress .
So I disconnected my phone and reconnected it and iTunes didn't recognize or show any device being connected .
I tried entering DFU mode to restore the phone , but it isn't entering DFU mode ( I tried the 3 sec pressing power/sleep button +10 secs of simultaneous power/home buttons + 10 secs of home button ) . I tried this atleast 30 times . I have successfully entered DFU mode with my previous iphone 3gs few months back , so I know how it's supposed to be done . Still my phone isn't being detected by iTunes .
I unintalled/reinstalled all apple software on my Win7 , (including bonjour, quicktime, itunes , and other apple software) .
And even after that it isn't being detected.
I think I've followed all the advice from different forums on the internet and still not successfull .
Any help would be really appreciated . Thank you

    same here
i dont thinkk there is any solution made for this problem

  • Iphone not detected in itunes at all; detected in Windows as camera only

When my proximity sensor busted on me yesterday the Apple store gave me a completely new phone, except this time they activated it for me. Now I can't get any of my backed-up contents sync'd on account of my lame OS (XP Pro) thinking it's just a camera. I've done the 5 R's more times than I can count, restarted the AppleMoblieService.exe, uninstalled the camera drivers that Windows gave me for the phone. I'm assuming if the phone were yet to be activated it would easily be detected by iTunes but it's too late for that. Or is it? I need help.

I had the same issue with a new replacement iPhone that I just received. I completely uninstalled all Apple software (itunes, quicktime, Apple mobile device software and Apple software update) and then re-installed itunes from a fresh download and it worked fine after that.

  • Iphone not detected in itunes 10.5

Hi I have a iPhone 4  I went to update it on my Windows XP computer via iTunes but it said I had to update my iTunes to 10.5 which I did then I went to connect my iPhone and it does not recognise my iPhone at all. I have uninstalled itunes and installed it again a few times, I have tried different usb ports and different iphone cord but still no luck. Has anyone had the same problem. I have been speaking to Apple but at this stage do not know the cause.

  • IPhone Not Detected in itunes on windows

Right, My iphone works fine on mac no problems but when I try to run it on windows using parallels it doesn't work. It will not show up in itunes at all (on windows). I am sure there is some kind of nube fix for this.
It does show as being connected to windows in the bottom corner and shows as adding new hardware, I have reset the pc, the iphone.
Sometimes the iphone pops up as some kind of still camera
    any ideas?
    Thanks

    try this
first attach iPhone & make sure XP instance "sees it" and is connected to it.
    1. Click Start
    2. Right-click on "My Computer" icon
    3. Select "Manage"
    4. Click "plus" sign next to "Services and Applications"
    5. Click "Service" from that dropdown
    6. Click on Service named "Apple Mobile Device" and select "Restart"
    7. Click on Service named "iPod Service" and select "Restart"
iTunes should start up & recognize device at this time. Next you will have to step through the sync steps to get your data merged properly.

  • IPhone not appearing in iTunes after 3.1 update

Hi everyone....I went to update to the 3.1 OS for my iPhone 3G but during the update it got stuck at the "connect to iTunes". I have uninstalled iTunes and AMD services multiple times. I managed to restore the phone but after the restore it doesn't appear in iTunes and the screen is now stuck at "emergency call" now and "connect to iTunes" and can not restore my back up data. My computer doesn't seem to recognize my phone at all but does recognize my iPod touch. If anyone has any sugestions on how to get it to work I would appreciate it because I really need to get my phone working properly.

I'm having a similar problem. I was running the same update. Not only does I-Tunes fail to recognize my I-Phone, my I-Phone is not operable. It just displays the moving circular icon in the middle of a black screen, as if it's doing something. What a drag.

  • HP4275A can not pass self test after running the labview program

I am using Labview to control HP4275A LCR meter. The Labview program is just the instrument driver for the HP4275A, and it works great. Before running the program, the instrument can pass both Open and Short test perfectly. But after running the program, it can not pass self test, neither Open nor Short. I don't know why?? Is it relative to my Labview program??
    Thanks

Thank you so much for your help. Yes, the instrument is in Local after running the instrument driver. In normal Open self test, just choose Capactiance as the Display A, and leave the four output terminals open then press the Self Test button. The Open self test will start and "OP" will be shown in the DIsplay A window, after 2 seconds, the open test will be finished. If something abnormal, the number of the abnormal step is displayed in Display A. Similar with the Short test.
The problem I had was: before running the instrument driver, the self tests pass; but after running the instrument driver, the Open and Short test show abnormal, Open test is abnormal at step 17, and Short test is abnormal at step 24.
And the instrument driver is only write commands into the instrument and then read back measuring values from it. Nothing else. So I am not sure if the problem is my instrument driver.
The weird thing is the problems happened several times and then if I do the Open and Short self test again after running the instrument driver, both pass. I am not sure whether the problem will come back or not.
    Ia there any help??
    Big thanks
