After update Application manager shows app as not installed

Hi,
I've installed almost all creative cloud apps since day one and everything is ok.
But, after the last Adobe application manager update, I see "install" beside each app in application manager. I installed two apps after the update (lightroom and acrobat x) and these two are correctly displayed as "installed" (launch application button is now displayed).
This is not a big issue for me, but I'm wondering if this affects the automatic updates procedure. If the updater checks which apps are installed, he knows that I installed also the other apps or it will check only for Lightroom and Acrobat x (the two marked as "installed" in app manager)?
Thanks
Andy

I'm having the exact same issue, and was also concerned about whether it would affect it showing me updates for my "installed" programs.

  • Apps installed from disk, but Application Manager shows them as not installed

I have all Creative Suite (Master) apps installed from disk, but Application Manager shows them as not installed. Why?

I find a way that could be firing this issue.
First, I installed Creative Cloud in spanish language, then installed some apps like DW, PS, FW, FL, and some more.
Then, some days ago, I realized that my apps were in spanish language, but I prefer them in english, so I switched the language of CC to english in settings options.
Now, these apps installed in spanish language are marked as "not installed" and I see the option to install them. And applications installed before language change, are fine and tracked for updates.
Maybe the issue is related to language changed, the CC manager can't track the language change.
Hope to find a solution in short time, this could be a major issue for someone.
At this time, I'm re-installing the apps in english, I think they must override the spanish ones.
I'm using MacOS 10.8.4 (Mountain Lion) on MacBook AIR, Core i7 (if that make sense)
    Cheers!

Flash and Premier pro not on my computer, application manager says they are Up-to-date
Edge Animate is in the applicationfolder, AppManager asks me to install ...
Did a restart of the computer, did try an uninstall but the applications don't show,

  • Creative Cloud application manager shows none of my installed apps

I've searched through more threads in the community than I care to remember but I'm still none the wiser ... so here goes:
I have a mix of CC apps installed (Encore CS6, Premiere CC, Photoshop CC & CC2014 and more) some for quite a while. Suddenly, a few days ago the CC apps manager decided that I have none installed. This is what I've tried so far (I'm on Win7 Ultimate 64-bit):
    1) Deleted the %AppData%/Local/Adobe/AAMUpdater directory. Didn't help
    2) Uninstalled and re-installed CC Desktop app. Instead of the Install button next to all the apps I now see Trial! A restart seemed to fix that but still it's pretending I have nothing installed
    3) Renamed the opm.db file in %AppData%/Local/Adobe/OOBE. No change even after another re-install of CC Desktop app.
    4) Quit the App Manager opened Illustrator CC 2014 and checked for Updates (this seems to fire up Adobe Application Manager but maybe not the full-blown CC desktop app, not sure).
    5) Uninstalled and re-installed the CC Desktop app. Before launching it I open Encore CS6 and check for updates. When I launch the CC desktop app it now decides that it wants to install Premiere Pro CS6 for me! I disagree and close the CC desktop app.
    6) I open a few more apps and check for updates. Re-open CC desktop and ... no installed app listed (but at least it doesn't try to install Premiere CS6 any more).
I noticed one thing: when I check for updates from within an app and click on Preferences from within the Adobe Application Manager window it shows me the correct list of installed applications. So the information on what apps are installed are on my stystem somewhere. Somehow, this abomination of an app that is CC Desktop can't read it.
I have read posts about the CC Cleaner tool. Don't even go there. Un-installing all my apps just to get CC desktop to work is putting the cart before the horse. Apart from the time and download allowance involved in that I also have no confidence that the CC desktop app will offer all the versions of apps other than the latest CC2014 releases. I still need Encore CS6 and I haven't tried all the 2014 versions yet on my existing projects, so I need to have the CC versions installed in parallel. After all, that was the whole point of the CC desktop app initially installed the latest release in addition of existing apps and not upgrading them.
I apologise for the somewhat lengthy post but I'm hoping it may save time in the long run.
    Any suggestions gratefully received.
    Many thanks

Similar problem just happened to me with the Creative Cloud Update 1.7.1.418—slightly different so I thought I'd share. I have multiple Adobe Creative Cloud programs installed on my computer, all working just fine. I updated the Cloud App to the latest version and then it shows me that I have only one program installed! All my previously installed programs (Photoshop and the like) still work but show as "install" instead of "Up to date". Initially I thought I'd have to re-install the Cloud app or recreate the OPM data base but then I noticed that some of the Cloud app preferences (Apps > Settings > App Language) were different to what I had set previously. I use English (International) language, the update had reverted the app back to English (North American). I flicked back to my previous language and bam, all my apps now show as being installed correctly.

  • How do I tell the CC application manager that Lightroom is not installed on my pc?

Before i got CC i was using Lightroom 5 swedish version for evaluation. I used application manager to install an English version by setting the language to English but language after CC installation of Lightroom is still Swedish. Checking the language settings again after installation it was set to English. Now I uninstalled Lightroom using control panel to remove it completely and my intention was to reinstall it from CC. However, the application manager still claims that Lightroom is installed. How do I get the CC application manager to understand that lightroom is not installed and when I do reinstall it it should be in English?

  • After updating 6.1.2 Sim Card Not Installed

Hi, I updated my I phone 4 this morning and when I turned my phone back on it said "sim card not installed". It was totally fine before the update and I haven't had any issues before this. Please help

I use Skype fairly frequently. The rather appalling rate of dropped calls does not seem to have increased with the update. It also appears to be pretty much the same as the rate of dropped calls when using my MBA.

  • TS1702 After updating to iOS 6, apps stopped installations and showing 'waiting'

After updating to iOS 6, apps stopped installations and showing 'waiting'
I can't delete and install again because there are almost 20 applications like this.
    iPad 2 on iOS 6
I tried by restarting iPad. Still it's not working.
I have almost 20 applications showing in 'updates' in App Store. I selected 'Update all'. But iPad not installing those updates.
    Thanks,
    Kumar

It's never a good idea to select Update All - IMO. That's when things start going wonky. Only one thing can download at a time anyway.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast, TV show  .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.

  • After updating to Yosemite, following apps not opening. App Store, Mail, Contacts, Calendars... About the Mac

After updating to Yosemite, following apps not opening.

    About the Mac
I recently updated to Yosemite and now I am having problems with the above mentioned apps, not opening at all.
I am unable to check to which version its update to, or even update to next version.

You ran a defective third-party "utility" such as "CleanMyMac" or "MacCleanse" that purports to "clean up" "junk" files. What it really does is to corrupt the operating system and many applications.
The first thing you need to do is remove that software according to the developer's instructions. Never install it, or anything like it, again. Then see below. If you use any iWork applications, you may need to delete them and redownload them from the App Store.
If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data, then reinstall the OS.* You don't need to erase the startup volume, and you won't need the backup unless something goes wrong. If the system was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you may need the Apple ID and password you used.
If you use FileVault 2, then before running the Installer you must launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the FileVault startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) It will be nested below another icon, usually with the same name. Click the Unlock button in the toolbar and enter your login password when prompted. Then quit Disk Utility to be returned to the main Recovery screen.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
If you installed the Java runtime distributed by Apple and still need it, you'll have to reinstall it. The same goes for Xcode. All other data will be preserved.
*The linked support article refers to OS X 10.10 ("Yosemite"), but the procedure is the same for OS X 10.7 ("Lion") and later.

  • Application manager show that Acrobat X Pro is installed on my computer but it's not

Application manager show that Acrobat X Pro is installed on my computer but it's not, what is the action to resolve this issue??

    Hi Cailloux1973,
I would check to see if the uninstaller is available at
Control Panel > Programs & Features or Add Remove Programs or Mac HD > Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers.
If you find and uninstaller run it.
If the product is not listed there you might try the Acrobat cleaner tool from here

What happened was you never accepted these apps into your Mac App Store account.
Drag & drop the apps in the Trash and use OS X Recovery to install them again. after installing the apps be sure to accept them into your account this time from the Purchases pane of the Mac App Store.

  • Does MAS show updates if apps are not installed ?

I got several apps from the Mac App Store but deleted some of them. In fact I deleted all traces of these apps even .bom and .plist files in "receipts".
Now updates of not installed apps are not shown in the App Store application. Is this due to the fact that these apps are not installed OR because I deleted the .bom and .plist files in "receipts" ?
    Thx.

steps to find these "invisible" resources:
    1) In Finder type Command F (Find)
    2) In menu bar select "Kind"
    3) Scroll down to "Other"
    4) Wait a moment (menu has to rebuild itself)
    5) Scroll down and select: "System Files"
    6) In Finder type Command F (Find)
    7) In menu bar select "System Files" and "Are included"
    8) Type: "receipts"
voila ,with search results you will get the complete path which should be like: yourharddisk/private/var/db/receipts

I checked the versions of the programs, and some are available on the website prior to the update.

I tried to install a downloaded from the website of adobe and I get the following error code "U44M2I218."

Maybe I try to respond me.
The Single update files for single program are different of Updates for Creative Suite?

Force close the App Store app and reset the iPad. No data will be lost when you reset the device.
In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Next, reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • Apps will not install or update after ios 8 installation

Apps will not install or update after ios8 installation

The solution that worked for me was to identify the apps that were stuck updating, and then find them on my iPhone.  (You can't search for them, you have to find their icon on your iPhone's desktop.)  Then I deleted those apps.  Then I went back to the App store, and they downloaded/updated like normal.  I did the same thing for the same problem on my iPad, and that also worked.
    Best of luck to everyone.
