After updating to 10.8.3 my wifi won't power on.
When I click the "turn wifi on" button nothing seems to happen. Anyone else having this issue? Was working fine before update.
You could try changing Location:
Click whatever is there and select Edit Locations. Then click the + sign and create a new location - matters not what you call it. That might bring to life the "turn wifi on" button.

I've never had this problem before iOS 7. Now whenever I try to connect to my wifi at home I get a notification saying "Unable to join the network".
I've also tried reseting my network settings and it seems to help temporarily... sometimes. Other times it just takes a long time before it will finally connect. And it's getting very frustrating.Oy... they moved it out of iTunes and into the Dashboard that you swipe from the bottom. just go there and you should see the Airplay button. I guess they did this because other programs can now access airplay beside itunes.

well after updation to ios6.0.1 My wifi button has turned to grey mode ,i cant turn it on at all and when i tried to restore it my battery life turned in short life period .,,,i dnt know what the heck is this..pls help
The reapair shop is probably responsible. And now that you took it to a third party and not to apple store, Apple will not touch your phone at all. So you will probaly have to buy a new one or go back to the reapir shop and hope they can fix it.

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then was new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

I have an Appl,e AirPort Extreme Base Station (Simultaneous Dual_Band( MC340LL/A. After updating the software, no devices can connect via wifi.
As suggested in another discussion area, (AirPort), I reset the AEBS to factory defaults. On the TV, I went to >Settings>General>Network>Configure Wireless>Wireless Networks. I could then see the generic "Apple Network xxxxx" on the TV. From my MacBookPro, I verified that I could connect to the TV by launching iTunes and noting that the TV was now visible in the "Devices" menu. Went back to the AEBS and ran through the "Setup" routine. I did NOT use the "Previous Settings" but instead, saved the old settings profile, created a new wireless network and new settings profile and enabled WPA2 Personal encryption. I then went back to the TV and went through the "Settings" routine again (as noted above). This time, after entering my WPA2 password, the TV connected to the network and problem was solved. Thanks.

Why iPhone 4S after updating new iOS. unable to on wifi
I have this problem after updating the new iOS. Went to telco. They told me to go QCD. Singapore apple agent. They told me to apple hot line. Apparently no help was given. I suspect my phone wifi was defective after updating. My phone warranty was just due after one year 7 may. I was hope that QCD can give me a a replacement phone after talking to hot line help desk. But disappointed with the reply. I actually want to see if can just repair the wifi if possible. Who can advice me. ?
Did you already try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again? You will not lose data by resetting.
If this did not work, and to rule out a software issue, setting it up as new device would be the next step:

If still no luck, this might be a hardware problem and the phone has to be checked by an Authorized Apple Service Provider or Apple:

After updating my iphone 5 to iOS 7 my phone won't show any wifi networks or connect to any. I reset the network connections and still nothing.
I Just found it on the apple site, it arrived on a cd a few days later and worked just fine again.
i would recommend backing everything up just in case. Better safe than sorry, trust me. I've lost so much when i didnt back up once when re-installing the system.

Close iTunes
Check your hosts file which is located in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
Open that file (notepad will do fine) and check if you can find a line which contains "apple.com"
If there is one write a # in front of the line, save the file to your Desktop and then Drop&Drop it into the file path mentioned above. Yes to overwrite.
Now launch iTunes and try again! -
After Update Unable To Browse Internet On WiFi
Since the update to my Charge I am unable to browse the internet through a WiFi connection. All I get is "Web Page Unavailable". I know that the connection is working correctly as I use it on other computers. Not to mention when I am connected to the WiFi connection, the apps i have installed on my Charge function correctly such as the App Store and I am able to download and update apps through Wifi. The only issue is when I am trying to use the browser to connect to web sites. I have tried the stock browser as well as Dolphin with no luck. Help!

I too was unable to browse the internet on WiFi. I tried many of the solutions I found on different discussion threads. I read your solution and decided to give it a try. Unbelievable, I did have text in the proxy setting. Checking on my PC I determined I did not require a proxy number. So, I erased the proxy number and I am now able to access the internet through WiFi.

I recently updated three Macs to Mavericks OS 10.9.4. All three Macs now cannot stay connected to WiFi.
Other devices (iOS and Windows) have no such problem, so it isn't the WiFi itself.
It seems to be OS X 10.9.4 which is the problem.

So I'm pretty baffled at this point. Last night I started downloading the iOS 7.1 update as my iPhone 4 was plugged into iTunes. The update did not complete on my phone. Instead, the dreaded "Connect to iTunes" logo appeared. After researching last night and again this morning, I have not found a solution.
When I plug my phone into iTunes, this message appears: "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes." Then, I have the option to restore iPhone.
So, having come to terms that I will lose all data - luckily my photos and videos have all been uploaded to my computer - I began restoring it. As it's downloading, this message then appears:
I've read through the "More Information" page several times. Checked my host file, added the "# " in front of the gs.apple.com IP address, restarted the computer, and still no luck. I haven't tried updating or restoring on another computer yet, but I have a feeling that won't change anything - I've read other people's accounts and that step just didn't work.
I updated my iTunes to the lastest version and restarted. Nothing.
I downloaded tinyumbrella and RecBoot to try and exit the apparent recovery mode. This didn't work. I have tried numerous times restarting the phone (holding down the home button and power button) with different variations of unplugging the USB from my laptop, letting go of the home button when the Apple logo appears, holding down the + volume button along with the power button, etc.
Does anyone know what I should do? Would calling Apple help? Or would going in person to an Apple store be better? Would they replace my phone? I don't see how this can be resolved unless the Geniuses have a universal restart method that bypasses everything. I need my phone for work and would be okay with just restoring the phone. Note: My phone has not been jailbroken.
Really hope someone can help. I would greatly appreciate it...
Thank you!The fact that gs.apple.com was in your host file to begin with is an indicator that your computer was used to jailbreak or hack an iOS device at some point in the past. You can not get help here for a hacked or jailbroken device. If your phone was hacked or jailbroken, Apple won't touch it.
RecBoot and Tinyumbrella are hacking tools.
Google "iPhone DFU mode".
Try restoring in DFU mode. If that doesn't fix it, make an appointment at the genius bar and see what Apple has to say about it. -

In order for you to solve this problem you have to follow these stept if your running windows:
1'st step is to go into the device manager
2 step is to go to portable devices (it is rught under network adapters)
3 step is to right clic apple iphone and click update drivers
4 step is to brows your drivers from C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers
After that your itunes will pump up alown and youl see your iphone right there.

On my Windows 7, my latest iTune, after udating to the latest version, I cannot open or start the program. I even deleted the program from my system and then reinstall/download iTune from Apple Store, but the same problem persist. Anyway to get back my iTune back?

It sounds like you have uninstalled the iTunes application but you are still not able to launch it after a recent update. I would recommend uninstalling the iTunes application and its associated files with the following article:

Had the same problem with the new update. I finally got back to my previous version by using system restore. After the restore I had to go to the "All Programs" list and click on Quicktime and iTunes individually to allow them to re-configure, then had to restart the computer again. After that all's well. My lbrary was intact.
I tried everything to get the newest version to work, including completely uninstalling my current versions of QT and iTunes, then downloading the latest directly from the Apple website, but, after 3 attempts, nothing worked. Guess I'll have to wait for the next update and try again.
By the way, your library is not actually stored in iTunes--it is stored in your Music folder, so you should not lose anything by uninstalling iTunes if you need to.
