After updating to iOS 6 my iPod Touch 4th.Gen is virtually unusable ... does anyone know how to sue Apple since they gave no warning about iOS 6 being for iPad optimisation and a killer for iPods ? Before I throw away my iPod Touch does anyone know if Apple intends to rectify their obnoxious disregard for iPod users by issuing another 'upgrade' which will allow iPods to work without the constant system crashes that iOS 6 has caused ?

Otherwise try:
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

Your iPod can only be synced with one computer at a time. If you try to sync it with a new computer/iTunes library, it will replace the contents of the iPod with whatever is in the new library. You should probably disable the autosync functionality first by going to Edit -> Preferences, clicking the Devices tab, and enabling the prevent iPods,iPhones, and iPads from automatically syncing option.
Before doing anything else, authorize the new computer with your iTunes Account. In iTunes, choose Store -> Authorize This Computer and enter in the correct credentials. Either copy a backup file from your old computer to your new one or create a new backup of your iPod in iTunes before letting it sync.
Then right->click on your iPod Touch from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes and choose Backup. You might also want to take a look at this article to see what it all included in the backup.

Now onto synced content such as music, videos, photos, etc. For iTunes purchases you can copy them back into iTunes by choosing File -> Transfer Purchases. im going to restore my ipod touch(4th gen) to factory settings. my question is, how do i back up all notes from the app "notes" so they can be reinstalled? or is it allready backed up as per the main "back-up" ? I know its a simple question, but i dont know the answer. please help.
The iPod backup that iTunes makes includes Notes.and other app data. However, it does not included synced media like apps and music.
Thus, just restore from backup with all your synced media in your iTunes library.

Does anyone know how well the Intel Iris Pro installed on new 15" MacBook Pros performs using Photoshop and Lightroom? I am trying to upgrade from Tiger to Snow Leopard. When I insert the disk and install starts, it states "This disk is used for Time Machine backups" and Mac OSX can't be installed. Does anyone know how to correct this (since Tiger doesn't have Time Machine)?

My ipod touch 4th generation has recently been telling me I need to connect to iTunes (i think). It has a symbol with a chord, and an arrow above it pointing to the iTunes logo. So I re-downloaded itunes, and I plugged it in to my computer. It told me that iTunes couldn't connect to my iPod because it is password-locked, so I have to put in my password. But I can't do it because of the stupid picture on the screen! I tried turning the iPod on and off, I've looked up and down the internet, etc. etc. The thing I thought might actually help was to put it in recovery mode, but I've tried that too, although the instructions weren't very clear on the apple website and I doubt the way it told me could have worked anyways. I NEED HELP QUICK!!!!!
If anyone could find a video on youtube telling us how to put it in recovery mode, that would be awesome too, but solving this quandary would be better.Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

It includes arwor, mail. messages and some app date. Basically, what is not icluded in the other categories. If over about 1 1/2 GB that usually indicates that the "other" includes corrupted files. Usually restoring from backup eliminated the corrupted files. However, sometimes restoring to factory settings/new iPod is required.

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

IPod touch 4th Gen terribly slow. Don't know why
So I was syncing my iPod 4th gen on iTunes. Then my laptop overheated and shut itself down during the sync. After that, my iPod has been extremely slow, I would try opening camera, it would crash about 5 times before it can open. Then it would crash again when you try to take a picture. Setting crashes alot too. safari crashes. Animation of icons are choppy, it takes forever to stand by and wake up. The iPod is also very hot. I tried resetting it, its a bit faster but its still alot slower than before and its still hot.
HelpWell that depends, what are you going to keep on your iPod touch.
Keep in mind the 16 GB 5th gen model does not include a rear camera, so if that is a consideration you should get the 32 GB. Also if you plan on storing large apps like games, etc. on your iPod you will need the extra storage.
