It;s been working perfectly up until now. I have no problem on my home WIFI, or through personal hotspot working through my iPhone 5.
I have worked with AT&T, replaced the SIM card with a new one, and done a backup/restore to factory settings, all with the same result that when I turn Cellular
Data on, with or without Enable LTE, it goes into "searching" mode, or reports "no service". My iPhone 5 works perfectly on iOS 8.1.2, on Cellular. I've browsed the blogs and have tried Apple's suggested fix, all to no result.
Oddly enough, every once in a while I do get connected to the network for a short ime (minutes), but it always returns to "searching".
I've filed a report with Apple, along with a request that they contact me, but no results yet.

Hello razmee209. Thank you for your response. I spent the better part of yesterday working with Apple Support. They tried their best, to include backing up photos to my HP laptop, backing up the iPad to iCloud, then resetting the iPad in total. Same problem. I restored from the cloud to recover my apps, same problem.
AT&T installed a new sim card - same problem. I spent time with AT&T Support yesterday, too. In both cases, (Apple and AT&T) the support techs who worked with me were extremely polite, courteous and helpful to the best of their abilities, but I think the problem lies deeper, and nobody at Apple is admitting they have a problem with iOS 8, that I'm aware of.
I didn't have this issue before I upgraded to iOS 8.1.2.
Everything else with the iPad works fine: WIFI, Personal Hotspot, email, all my apps, etc.
In browsing the web for this issue I see that many other folks have the same problem. I filed a report with Apple this morning, requesting that they contact me, but no word yet. I was going to go to iPhone 6, and had been considering the iPad Air 2, but I see reports of this problem with those units as well.
At this point I don't think I'll be spending any more money with Apple, at least not till this issue is resolved.

Thanks for the question. If the iCloud tab (and other tabs) are greyed out, and you are unable to tap on them, it sounds like Restrictions have been enabled on your device. Specifically, the Restriction titled “Allow Changes: Accounts”.

With the recent upgrade to my computer I can no longer get Supply reports from my printer: a red light is flashing and I don't know which ink cartridge needs replacing?

I happen to have an Epson printer as well - WorkForce 645 - that does show the supply levels.
Since I have one, I know that Apple recently updated the Epson printer software (less than two weeks ago). Do you have the latest software? If not, you can get it through the App Store or here:

Problem: linking iTunes to Photoshop Elements after upgrading to iOS 7.3.4 to sync iPad to Albumns in Organiser.

Since upgrading to iOS 7.0.3.4 I can link to Folders but not to Albums in Photoshop Elkements 11.
Is Apple aware of this bug and can we expect that it will be corrrected in due course?

I can Export Albums from Organiser to Adobe Revel and then iTunes recognises the Album - but Revel only recognises JPEG files and they have to be small as exporting is such a slow process.
I can import a PDF file to my iPad containing a photo slide show previously created with Elements Organiser - it finds its way to the Books app.

Thanks: I did not make it clear that the acquisition of Revel was subsequent to the onset of my problem - Revel is an attempt to work around the problem.
When using iOS 6 the link from iPad to Photosdhop Elements - Organiser - Albums via iTunes worked perfectly - I could sync iPad with iTunes no trouble. Upgrade to iOS 7 and iTunes - Photos showed the title of the Album but contained no photos. After exporting an Album from Orgniser to Revel the photos automatically re-appeared in the iTunes albums list.
Have you any other suggestions?

Yes iMessage was barely working before (resetting network settings is what got it sort of working), but after 7.0.3, it's more broken than ever. I can't send ANY texts to iMessage users, even if iMessage is shut off. I tried resetting, I also tried resetting network settings again, but nothing has helped. It won't let me activate it.
FindMyFriends keeps giving me a prompt to connect to iTunes. And no matter how many time i click OK, it just keeps popping up. I have to try to click my way out of it faster than the prompt appears, or i just get stuck in an endless loop. And with how slow iOS 7 is on an iPhone 4, it's a bit if a challenge.
This is the first time I'm actually ready to start looking at other phones, these problem have been BEYOND frustrating.

After upgrading to FF5 or FF6 from 3.6.20, I can no longer open links in my work's ticketing site

I work with a State of Alaska web based ticketing system called Unicenter Service Desk, Plus. I had to downgrade back to 3.6.20 from version 5 and again from version 6, because neither of these versions work with this site correctly. Several of the links open new windows from the main window in version 3.6.20, but there is no way to open these windows (even with pop-ups & plugins disabled, all security turned off, all java/JS/etc. enabled) in version 5 or 6.
Other co-workers have also tried upgrading to v.5 and v.6 and have met with the same issue. The downside is that the site is internal (behind a firewall) and secured by username and password, which makes it difficult for you to see what I'm talking about. i Installed Lion from the app store so i have no hard copy. i have my dvd from when i was sold the imac which when i try to boot it (with or without lion on the hard drive) it gives me loud beeps. apple only need a clone of a previous install of snow leopard, when surely it'd be easier to patch lion or efi to allow this or at least provide me with a disk or dongle in placement of mu digital download!
if my computer goes down tomorrow im reliant on an app store download to regain lion.....which will requiere snow leopard, i dont think ill be purchasing mountain lion if its gonna mess with my mac without warning thats for sure

After upgrading to iOS 7.1.2 on my iPad Retina display does not connect to the internet more. Recognizes the Wi-Fi network but can not connect to the internet. The same thing happened to my wife's iPhone 5s, while my had no problems ...

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. After upgrade to iOS 7.1 calendar integrated via caldav is no longer available

Hi,
We use several iOS devices in my family and we share a calendar sitting on our home NAS (Synology). The calendar is integrated via 'caldav'.
This worked fine for a long time (also using the latest iOS 7.0x versions).
However, after upgrading the devices to iOS7.1 we have one iPhone5 that no longer shows the shared caldav calendar. In setting the calendar shows up and the connection can be validated successfully. However, the calendar app does not show this shared family calendar. As it would not have been configured.
On the other devices the calendar works fine.
The phone not showing the calendar is also syncrhonized with an additional MS Exchange calendar. This still works fine. I mentioned it because this is something that is different compared to those devices that still show the shared caldav calendar.
Does anybody has an idea about how to fix this situation?
Is there any workaround to make the configured, shared caldav calendar visible in the calendar app?

Update: This was caused by a hardware failure of the Touch ID and just happened to coincide with when I did the update. Got my phone exchanged today and everthing is working properly.

Keyboard shortcuts no longer work after upgrade to ios 6

After upgrading to iOS 6, the keyboard shortcuts on my iPhone 4S no longer work. Not only that I can't change them either. If I add or delete a shortcut, it simply goes back to the way it was when I exit the settings and go back in. My iPad 2 doesn't have this problem, only my iPhone 4S.
I tried restarting as well as doing a reset (hold home and power button).
Any idea how to fix this?

If you want to go through all the steps I took:
1. Restart
2. Soft reset (hold home and power until Apple logo appears)
3. Reset keyboard dictionary
4. Reset all settings
5. Clear autofill
Only after the last step did things start working. Prior to that I couldn't make any changes I made to the keyboard shortcuts stick, though every now and then changes would take. Sometimes trying to delete a shortcut would crash the settings app. In all cases the shortcuts didn't work.

Phone app is crashing after upgrading to iOS 6 on 4S

After upgrading my iPhone 4S to iOS 6.0.1 I'm having real problems to use the phone app.
It takes about 2 minutes to load the app, when it can load, sometimes it crashes then I have to re-open it.
I've already tried to unlink my FB account and installing iOS 6.0.1 again.
Any ideas?

When you said replacing the call log helped, that gave me the major clue to solving it a little easier.
I didn't care if I lost my call log history - and so will you if you do it, but it's much simpler:
I found the location of the call history file, and just deleted it straight from my Iphone.
Restarted the device, and it worked like new. Thx Bruno for the tip.

JavaScript is a rather flexible language and not always totally cross-browser, so what works with one browser may not work with another, or even in some cases a revision of one that worked before. Absent corrections to the web site, if the site isn't working on your iPad now, you will indeed probably need a different browser. There's no supported way to downgrade your version of iOS, but there are other web browsers available in the iTunes Store, including Opera Mini and iCab Mobile. One of those might be happier with the JavaScript on your web site. Opera is free, so you might want to try that first.
