Agent Only Install on Windows

I downloaded and unzipped the file:
Win32_Grid_control_agent_download_10_2_0_1.zip into a directory on the E: drive (where there was space enough for it) of an old NT server then went to run "setup" and it chokes due to not enough (45MB) space on C:\temp.
How can I direct the setup to use a drive other that the C: drive for this?
It seems to be hard coded to want to use drive C:\temp but I cannot free up enough space on that drive.
It is an old NT box running a 9i instance and I just want it to be included in the hosts and databases on the 10G OEM console...

Thanks guys...I did just that and now I have a slew of other problems...After discussing all this with my boss we have decided to get another server (HP-UX this time) to move this instance to and retire this old NT box. Just as a FYI, below is what is showing up in an error log now after the installer croaks:
An unexpected exception has been detected in native code outside the VM.
Unexpected Signal : EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) occurred at PC=0x1DAC97A3
Function=[Unknown.]
Library=G:\TEMP\OraInstall2007-09-19_10-02-48AM\oui\lib\win32\oraInstaller.dll
Current Java thread:
...Blah ...Blah ...Blah
Anyway, I not going to waste any more time on this old box...
Thanks a million for your replies!

Get a Virtual Macine software program, Parallels, VMware Fusion or VirtualBox, and install XP in a virtual machine.
You can't install XP in a Boot Camp Partition with Lion or Mt Lion, only Win 7.

  • How do I instal Omron blood pressure monitor soft wear on my Mac pro when the soft wear supplied only refers to Windows

How do I instal a Omron blood pressure monitor on to my Mac Pro.It came with an installation softwear that is only compatable with Windows.I have contacted Omron and they inform me that it should be possible using Bootcamp. How do I do this.I am using Lion OX.

Basically, the software Omrom uses is made by Microsoft and will only run on Microsoft Windows. There are two ways to run it on your Mac Pro, both require a copy of Microsoft Windows. Option one is to use Boot Camp, which sets aside a section of your hard drive to use for an installation of Windows. Once installed, you can then boot to Windows rather then OS X. The other option is to use something like VMWare Fusion to run Windows on top of OS X. A quick Google search has confirmed that the Omrom software has no issues running in VMWare.
In my opinion, VMWare is a simpler option. But it does require purchasing the VMWare Fusion software as well as a copy of Windows (I think they sell a bundled version of VMWare that includes Windows).

  • I want to install Windows 7 in bootcamp on my imac with Lion 10.7, but only have a Windows 7 upgrade disk.  I also have a full Vista.  Can I install in bootcamp using the Windows 7 upgrade disk?  If so, what do I need to know about how?

    Hi,
I want to install Windows 7 on my imac in bootcamp.  I have a windows 7 upgrade disk and a full vista disk.  Normally on a PC I would install Vista, then upgrade to Windows 7.  I see that bootcamp 4 only supports Windows 7.
Can I install the Windows 7 upgrade disk without first installing Vista?  Will this work in bootcamp?
    Thanks,
    Jim

Install 7. Don't bother with applying drivers and such, just reboot again from DVD and install again, it will see the existing system and this time activation will be possible.
Vista is mess, takes longer etc. Hope you have SP1 version of 7. And for Vista, only SP2+ are even supported now, by MS.

Ever since installing iCloud and Lion my computer is slow or freezes.  The color wheel comes on and My work stops.  I have only a small window of time where my computers will function normally during the day. I know many others that have the same problem. I'll get 20-30 minutes of work done and then a sync or something comes on, the color wheel of death shows up, and my productivity is shot.  I have to shut the computer down the hard way!  when it comes back up, it is still either frozen or slow.  I've checked in at the genius bar and all they say is that there have been some problems that Apple is trying to fix.  It effects Mail, Contacts, Safari, Calendar....yeah, pretty much everything.  My iPhone and iPad are not effected as much so I end up doing what I can with them.  I've seen the blogs out there and understand that many have the same problem.  I have been waiting to read about a fix but I have found nothing!  Any ideas?

Not enough free space on the startup disk can slow the system down.
Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon. Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. Make sure there's a minimum of 15% free disk space.
For startup issues...  open System Preferences > Users & Groups - Login Items. Delete any apps listed there then restart your mac.
And disable the Lion "resume" feature.
    Open System Preferences > General
Deselect:   Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps
And Spotlight may be indexing... you can turn that off > Turning Off Spotlight | Mac Tricks And Tips

  • ITunes 11.1.4 will not install properly - windows 8.1, 64 bit.  My only way to recover is to restore my system.  iTunes 11.1.3.8 functions properly.  When will Apply provide a workable update?

iTunes 11.1.4 will not install properly - windows 8.1, 64 bit.  The only way I have found to recover is to restore my system.  I have unistalled/reintalled iTunes two times.  No success.  iTunes 11.1.3.8 functions properly (following system restore).  When is Apply expected to provide a workable update?

Uninstall your existing copy of iTunes. Delete any copies of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer files from your downloads areas for your web browsers and download a fresh copy of the iTunes installer from the Apple website:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
(The current build of the 11.1.4.62 installer was changed a few days ago, which fixed the bulk of the reports of MSVCR80.dll/R6034/APSDaemon.exe/Error-7/AMDS-could-not-start trouble ... but the build number on the installer was not changed. So we're trying to make sure you do the reinstall using a "new good" 11.1.4.62 installer instead of an "old bad".)
Does the install with the new copy of the installer go through properly? If so, does that clear up the error message?
If you still have the same error messages cropping up, then try the procedures from the following user tip:
Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates

  • HT5628 Is it possible to install MS-Windows on MacBook Pro as the only OS

Is it possible to install MS-Windows on MacBook Pro as the only OS, using all the space of the SSD, by de-isntalling thus completely the Mac OS?

    Yes.
    but
You will have to erase the drive completely and install Windows, you can't achieve it just by deleting OSX
I do not recommend that you do it.

  • We purchased Adobe Photo Shop Windows with 2 licenses in December 2012.  We only installed 1 instance and woould like to isntall the other now.  How do we look up our Activation/license information

We purchased Adobe Photo Shop Windows with 2 licenses in December 2012.  We only installed 1 instance and would like to install the other now.  How do we look up our Activation/license information?

Assuming you got it directly from Adobe as a download, click on the red logo near the top-left of this page.  Then click the [ Manage account ] button.  After logging-in you should be able to find all the information on products you've purchased.

  • If I want to delete Mac OS and only install windows 8, will there be ant side affects?

I know this is crazy, but I want to buy a macbook pro with retina,
and If I want to delete Mac OS completely and only install windows 8, will there be ant side affects?

    Mende 1,
    Thank you very much!!!
But when you say windows support software, can you name it specifically?
because I'm really scared that I will mess up on this.
Or is it possible that I can ask one of the staff in the shop to do it for me when I'm buying the MacBook Pro with retina??
Do they do such service even in Taiwan???

  • After restart only one OWSM server agent is installed

I have created two OWSM server agents. One for the home container, the other for a custom container. (SOA Suite 10.1.3.3 - Basic install)
Whenever the Application Server is restarted, only the home container's server agent remains installed. I have to run wsmadmin.sh again to install the second agent before the custom container services are accessible again.
Is there any way to avoid having to do this?

Yes, there is a server agent for weblogic, see http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/web-services-manager/index.html to download it (see Third-Party Server Agents). The zip file also contains a pdf about the installation.
    Kind Regards,

  • HT1461 help!  i have installed windows 7 on my mac book pro and now it will only open in windows.

How do I get back to osx operating system?  The instructions I found said I should go to my windows system tray and select boot camp control panel but it is not there.

You have not installed the Windows drivers required for your computer. You must install them before the control panel is available.
For now you can return to OS X as follows:
    Boot Using OPTION key:
      1. Restart the computer.
      2. Immediately after the chime press and hold down the
          "OPTION" key.
      3. Release the key when the boot manager appears.
      4. Select the OS X disc.
      5. Click on the arrow button below the icon.
