[Agentry] Identifying the selected object in multi-tab lists on iPad

hi all,
On iPad, we can create a multi-tab lists to group objects based on different criteria as shown below.
In my implementation, I created a Tile Display which holds a screen set called “Lists” with multiple list screens.
Once we select an object in one of the lists, we need to either display details of the it or execute some transactions on that object. Then I had difficulty to find a way to identify the selected object. Since this is a screen set inside a tile display. I first tried to see if I can drill down on the tile display.
As shown above, I cannot go further on the tile display.
Then I tried to see if I can find the object on the “Lists” screen set. There are four screens each of which has “selected object” option. During the application’s execution, the user may switch between lists/tabs. Is there any method we can figure out which tab/screen the user is currently on? With that piece of information, I can identify the screen and then the object accordingly.
My development environment is 6.0.42 and iOS 7.1.
If this is not correct way to accomplish such function, is there any work around available to present a workable multi-lists tile on iPad?

My following question might be a bit off the original topic. Please let me know if you want me to open a new post.
I actually tried the navigation as well as the list selection. The navigation did happen. However, instead of presenting the Lists screen in the original tile display, a new full screen is created after the navigation which covers the original screen on iPad.
This leads to a general question regarding the navigation on screen with tile display. For pocket PC, the navigation is straight forward as a new screen is going to be created to cover the original screen. On tablet, if tile display is used, is it possible to navigate to, i.e., activate the focus on, a particular screen inside a tile display?
Please let me know if I make my question clear.

Service template problem - Unable to perform the job because one or more of the selected objects are locked by another job - ID 2606

I’ve finally managed to deploy my first guest cluster with a shared VHDX using a service template.
So, I now want to try and update my service template. However, whenever I try to do anything with it, in the services section, I receive the error:
Unable to perform the job because one or more of the selected objects are locked by another job. To find out which job is locking the object, in the jobs view, group by status, and find the running or cancelling job for the object. ID 2606
Well I tried that and there doesn’t seem to be a job locking the object. Both the cluster nodes appear to be up and running, and I can’t see a problem with it at all. I tried running the following query in SQL:
SELECT * FROM [VirtualManagerDB].[dbo].[tbl_VMM_Lock] where TaskID='Task_GUID'
but all this gives me is an error that says - conversion failed when converting from a character string to uniqueidentifier msg 8169, level 16, State 2, Line 1
I'm no SQL expert as you can probably tell, but I'd prefer not to deploy another service template in case this issue occurs again.
Can anyone help?

Unable to remove a host from VMM - Error (2606) Unable to perform the job because one or more of the selected objects are locked by another job.

I am unable to remove a host from my Virtual Machine Manager 2012 R2. I receive the following error:
Error (2606)
Unable to perform the job because one or more of the selected objects are locked by another job.
Recommended Action
To find out which job is locking the object, in the Jobs view, group by Status, and find the running or canceling job for the object. When the job is complete, try again.
I have already tried running the following command in SQL Server Management Studio
SELECT * FROM [VirtualManagerDB].[dbo].[tbl_VMM_Lock] where TaskID='Task_GUID'
I received this error back:
Msg 8169, Level 16, State 2, Line 1
Conversion failed when converting from a character string to uniqueidentifier.
I have also tried rebooting both the host and the Virtual Machine Manager Server. After rebooting them both, I still receive the same error when trying to remove the host.
Here are my server details
VMM Server OS = Windows 2012 Standard
VMM Version = 2012 R2 3.2.7510.0
Host OS = Windows 2012 R2 Datacenter
Host Agent Version = 3.2.75.10.0
SQL Server OS = Windows 2012 Datacenter
SQL Version = 2012 SP 1 (11.0.3000.0)

How many hosts are you managing with your VMM server?
The locking job might be the background host refresher job. Did you see any jobs in the jobs view, when the host removal job failed?
If there is no active jobs in the jobs view when this host removal job fails, can you please turn on the VMM tracing, retry the host removal, and paste back the traces for the failed job (search for exception and paste the whole stack)?

How to identify the selection parameters of already executed transactions

Hi,
I like to identify the selection parameter of already executed transaction.
SM20 shows me which transaction was executed on which day and by whom.
But it does not give me it is executed with which kind of selection parameters.
For example, MD02/03 was executed many times, I like to know who execute it with parameter "2" for "create purchase req.".
How can I know it?

I don't think so that SAP stores this information anywhere.

The selected objects cannot be joined as they are invalid objects,( Compound paths, closed paths, Text Objects, Graphs, Live Paint group). You can use Join command to connect two or more paths, paths in groups; ot to close an open path.

This sound like a firewall issue. I would start by disabling the firewall and seeing if you can connect. If this works then you know where the problem is,

Turn off "favor the selected object"

I recently switched to CS5 and discoverd the new "favor the selected object" feature. And i don't like it!
I can see the advantage of not accidentally selecting an overlapping object, but after a few hours of indesigning it drives me mad! It makes me accidentally deselecting the bottom object when trying to select multiple objects.
I found that CMD+selecting makes the selection tool work like in previous versions. Is there a way to turn this feature off, and perhaps make CMD+selecting act in the new CS5 way?

I can't tell you how often this feature was requested in the old days. It certainly makes my life much simpler than having to zoom out so I can see enough of an overlapped frame to find the center point to grab, and I know many other users appreciate it too. I don't have a problem with making it a user prefernce, however.
Basically, the selection priority is now reversed, is all. If you want to move a front object instead, you just have to click on a spot where it doesn't overlap the one you've selected.

Enhancement Implementation - Operation not supported by the selected object

I have created an Enhancement Implementation (EI) of Enhancement Spot BADI_ACC_DOCUMENT via transaction SE19. When activating the EI, the following message occurs and the EI is not activated:

It turned out to be a basis problem. Looking into transaction SM21 showed that the database was full.

How to read the selected value of a dropdown list box

I have 2 custom fields which are of type dropdown list on Accounts(CRMM_ACCOUNT) PCUI application details tab.I need to read the selected value of first dropdown list item,based on that second dropdown list will be populated.
I know where to populate the dropdown list box,it is in FILL_DROPDOWN_LISTBOX.
I dont know how to trap the selection made on dropdown list.
PLease guide me on how to trap the dropdown list field selection value.

Hello,
Check what is done in standard for the fielf REGION which is inked to the country.
Otherwise, you can do the following :
- in field group customizing, for field 1, flag the 'send request' flag. So, when you change the value in this field via the dropdown, the MAC methods are immediately called.
- Put the new value in a global variable (GV).
- in the fill_dropdown_listbox method, get the value from this GV and based on it, filter the values for the dropdown of field 2.

Create a new object that surrounds the selected objects

Is there anyway in illustrator to create a new vector object from selected objects?
IE if i have three rectangles selected, can I make a new vector path that surrounds them all.
I dont mean welding a group of vectors together or offsetting a path...which isnt exactly what i need.
What Im needing to do is create cut lines around complex vector art quickly.

Mike i need to make an outline around a logo but if the logo has many elements that make up the edge of the logo does that method work?
As the cut line needs to be a closed path
Ideally i want to avoid tracing around the logo with the pen tool or add to shape area in pathfinder tab.
I sure theres a really easy way to do this.
Kurt its an interesting discussion however in need a closed path to surrond artwork and live paint does just the opposite :)

SUbmit program where the selection screen called has tab screens

Hello folks,
Anyone ever used the submit command where the program called has tab screens on its intial screen? I would like to do this and do not want to have the selection screen display, so I am hoping there is some way to inform the submit command that I have multiple tabs to fill selection criteia on.

Try using
Submit prog_name USING SELECTION-SCREEN dynnr
or
SUBMIT prog_name USING SELECTION-SET 'Variant'
I guess this should meet your requirement.
however I have not tried it for Selection screen with tabs.

Creating a dropdown list which is depending on the selections from 2 other dropdown lists

I'm new to LiveCycle and JavaScript and I was hoping someone could help me with this form I am creating.
This is what I want it to do:
I have a dropdown list named 'Area' which drops down to 3 options. Once the form filler selects an area, they will then select an option from dropdown list 2 which is named 'Brand' (there is up to 5 options), I then I want dropdown list 3 named 'Address" to have all of the address of the area and brand selected.
Is this possible?

You have to copy this code in the change-event of the fist dd:
Number and Letter are the entries in my example in the first dd. You have to adapt to your entries. Then you have your object names change in the script.

Personas 2.0: How to catch the selection event of a dropdown list?

Hi Personas 2.0 experts,
The use case:
I want to use a text field to show the "key" of an item that can be selected in a dropdown list.
The issue:
After clicking the list and selecting an item, the text field is not automatically updated with the newly selected item content.
Anyone has an idea to how make such an auto update (pls note I don't want to use an extra button to do the update, just by clicking the list only)?

To display the key (the actual value) that's selected in a dropdown, there is a property called ShowKeys which you could set.
However if you'd want to show the selected value in another field upon picking an option, this would require an event associated in Personas 2.0 with the selection of a dropdown value. This is currently not available so I'm afraid what you are looking for is not possible.
Edit: It turns out I was wrong... there is an option (at least it's there in SP3) which allows linking a script button to the dropdown property OnValueChanged, so you can use this to do any script action you need when the user selects a value.

No, not in Pages for iOS. Just a word count for the complete file. Workaround: copy the selected text into a new file.
