Aio Remote: PDFs not recognized by Google drive.

Aio Remote on iPad Air2 iOS 8.1.1 - I created a PDF on my iPad from my HP Envy 7640 using Aio remote app. In the files/document section it's there (3 pages) as a PDF. But when I upload a copy from Aio Remote to Google Drive it's not recognized by Google Drive as a PDF even though it has a PDF extention. I have other PDF files stored in Google drive that are perfectly fine. It must be something in your app that is the problem.

More info: if I send it from Aio remote as an email attachment to myself I get a PDF that I can upload to Google drive and Google drive reconizes it as a PDF. again proving it is Aio remote that is doing some thing wrong when uploading to Google Drive.

  • AIO remote does not find my printer

I changed Internet providers a few months ago. I have not been able to print from my iPhone or iPad since then. AIO remote does not find my printer at all.

    Hi,
Both AirPrint and the HP AIO Remote app relies on Multicasting, a such have to be supported and enabled by your router.
Some routers support a such by default, some require settings changes and some do not support Multicasting which required for a such.
Please clarify your router brand and model to better understand any possible steps to try.

OS X Disk Utility not recognizing Seagate 3TB drive in dock
Been scouring the webs and can't quite figure this one out.
I just purchased a Seagate 3TB drive intending on using it for Backup.
Ended up plugging it into a dock and couldn't get it to show up in Disk Utility..
Interesting enough, I plugged this into an HP laptop and it displays just fine.
    Anyone know the solution?

I hooked my internal as an external up to my Mom's Macbook Pro and it recognized my HD. I'm thinking it is something internal with the hook-up, which is awesome, because maybe I can actually fix it!!!!  Any thoughts?

  • I can not open PDF document stored in Google drive

I have down loaded Adobe PDF reader APP (Touch Type) but it is not opening my PDF documents stored in my google drive. It tells me error 403 (forbidden). Could some one explain how I can solve this problem.
    Thanks.
    Rajinder Kanda

It depends on how you open the PDF documents that are stored in Google Drive.
Do you access Google Drive via the web browser?  Or do you have a sync client app installed on your device?  Adobe Reader Touch itself does not display the error 403 (forbidden).
Could you describe the steps that you used to open one of the PDF documents from Google Drive?  How did you choose Adobe Reader Touch to open it?

  • HP AiO Remote will not recognize scan and copy function of HP Envy 120 printer

Good morning! HP AiO Remote App is installed on my iPad4 and in the same WiFi network with my HP Envy 120 printer. The printer is recognized by the app and marked with a green led. When I tap on scan or copy in the app menu, it tells me that these functions were available in the app only for printers which provide these features. But HP Envy 120 has both scanner and copier. And last time it worked. Some idea what could have happened here? Thanks. UJ

Hi UJKarl, welcome to the HP Forums. You should be able to scan from the HP AIO Remote App on your Envy 120 printer. You probably just need to power cycle the printer, iPad and router to regain proper function.
Turn off your printer with the power button. Power down the iPad by holding the sleep button down until you get the option to 'slide to power off'. Then disconnect the power cord to your router and count to about 10, and then plug it back in. Once the router comes back online, turn the printer on. When the printer comes back online (blue wi-fi light stops blinking), then power the iPad back up. Try again, and it should work.
Let me know how it turns out.

  • IPod not recognized by itunes, driver device won't install?

I've been at this for hours and I'm becoming rather frustrated. I've been using my 4g ipod touch since christmas and it's worked fine. I plug it into my new laptop, and it tells me that the device driver needs installed. I let it install, yet it's still not recognized. I go through the device manager and attempt to update the software, and every time it tells me that there is some kind of error and the update cannot be made. I've tried everything under the troubleshooting methods. Does anybody have any clue what is causing this? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Here is a tutorial for how to fix your usb not recognized,

  • Mac Not Recognizing External Hard Drive, I Want to Use the HDD to boot Windows

Let's get this stuff straight first:
The Hard Drive is from a PC that I am not using
The Hard Drive already has Windows 8.1 installed as well as all my documents and data. (from the old PC, of course.)
It does work, however after connecting it to my iMac (late 2014 / 5K Retina) it isn't recognized by Finder, Disk Utility or the (Option) Boot screen.
Yes, I understand I will need to install drivers, so I'll need help doing that as soon as we get Yosemite to recognize the HDD.
What I am wanting to do is use this external drive to run Windows from the boot up screen. But I need OS X to actually recognize the drive in the first place. Then I'll need a little help installing the drivers for Windows onto the Drive, unless those are already installed, since it was originally used in my PC? (I'm not sure how drivers work.)
Nonetheless, if it's not possible to be used as an external boot for Windows, I'd still like to use it to obtain and store files/documents on.
    Thanks guys!
    -Austin

How do you have the drive hooked up to your computer? Did you but an adapter? If so, is it one that is supposed to work with a Mac? Did it come with a power supply?
Some of those USB adapters don't work well with Macs and that could be causing problems. Test it on a PC if possible, just to make sure the adapter itself isn't bad.

  • Itunes not recognizing external hard drive

I have a smartdisc firelite external hard drive that was working perfectly until yesterday when I bought a shuffle and now itunes is not recognizing to go the hard drive to locate the songs. Can someone walk me threw this so I can download some songs from my external drive to itunes and then to the shuffle ? Thank you so much

  • Yoga Pro 2 - Display not recognized in windows (Driver or Hardware issue?)

Out of warranty by a month!
Yoga Pro 2 - 256gb, installed new wireless card a month ago. Windows 8.1
The touchscreen still works while the screen is black.
System restarted after sleep mode I think.
The Lenovo logo is displayed, seems to load windows, but when windows loads (I don't see it load so this is an assumption) the screen blanks and the black light is on.
I can connect an external monintor which will connect after a return from sleep mode(odd). Which then turns the backlight off.
When on the external monitor the internal display is not even recognized by windows.
When I boot in safe mode, the internal screen works fine with of course limited capability.
I have reloaded display drivers from the support site.
Right now my internal monitor is not recognized by windows and is dark, and I can use an external monitor.
Anyone have any clues as to what my be going on? Hardware, driver etc???
    What information can I provide?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

This is a pretty weird issue with conflicting observations.
    1) Screen works in Safe Mode but not in regular boot. (So, not hardware issue)
    2) Display works on external monitor in regular mode. (So, not drivers issue)
Did you install the wireless card yourself? Did you unplug the display cable while installing the card?
Could you re-open and check that all connections are good?
Is the Wi-Fi card working well?
I would also recommend a complete reset of the laptop to eliminate the possibility that this is a corrupt driver. You can use the NOVO button to reset your laptop. Make sure to make a backup on external drive for your personal files.

  • How to get files of a dmg thats not recognized after a drive recovery

I just had to recover my hard drive I managed to recover my .dmg files that I created with a pass word using disk Image. Now when I go to open the dmg it ask me for the pass word I type it in and get this message ....Unable to attach "C-00055.dmg."(not recognized) so my problem is how to I fix this or get my files out of the dmg? its showing me that 50Gb witch is the correct size of the dmg I created  I have done all the disk utility crap everyone keeps posting I need a real solution to this problem Im not familiar with the Terminal but if some one has a way to do it using the mac Terinal I dont have a problem using it if your instructions are clear.
    Thanks .

You would need to restore your phone as a new device in iTunes, not from back up, that's the only way to remove the data.

  • Pdfs not recognized as pdfs

I keep a folder full of pdf copies of pay stubs going back several years. After upgrading from Lion to Mountain Lion, 2/3 of them are not recognized as pdfs any longer. Mountain Lion tries to open them with TextEdit, leading to a page of gibberish. If I use Get Info, and force the document to be opened with Preview, it opens fine. I have told it to open all similar documents with Preview. Just curious what "broke" in the upgrade, and why I had to jump through these hoops. Also, very inconvenient not to be able to use QuickView on these docs.

  • Equium A210-1C4 not recognizing optical disk drive

I have a Equium A210-1C4 which will not recognise the odd.
The drive has power and spins disks but does not appear as a drive in MY COMPUTER.
It also is not recognised in the Bios.
I have updated the Bios and tried to install the firmware but get message that the drive is not found.
I have tried is in another computer and it works fine.
Has anyone had similar problems and is there a solution?
    Many thanks

    > I have tried is in another computer and it works fine.
You have tested optical disc drive in other computer?
Anyway, if the ODD is not recognized in BIOS Im afraid ODD controller is defective. It is mainboard issue so there is no some kind of easy solution.
I don't think you can do much about that except to exchange the mainboard.

  • Windows suddenly not recognizing iPod Shuffle - drive letter conflict

If you're having troubles with your PC not recognizing your Shuffle even though it used to recognize it in the past, this is just something else to consider (sorry if it's already been covered):
When I originally connected my Shuffle to my laptop on my home network, it was recognized immediately, and my WinXP OS assigned it the drive letter "I". Later, with the Shuffle no longer connected to the laptop, I was setting up my home network, and I mapped one of my shared network locations to the "I" drive letter on my laptop. The next time I plugged my Shuffle in, Windows would not recognize it. I proceeded to plug it into both of the other computers on my home network, and it was recognized immediately on both of them. So I then went back to the original laptop, disconnected the network drive mapping I had set up for "I". Once I did that, when I plugged my Shuffle back in, the Shuffle was again being recognized immediately (not surprisingly, still as drive letter "I"). In short, Windows has a memory of drive mappings made in the past, and sometimes this can produce unexpected or unwanted behavior (I would have expected my Shuffle to automatically be assigned the next open drive letter, but alas, that was not the case in my experience).
To minimize the possibility of running into this problem again (in case I do more network drive mapping in the future), I used the Disk Management utility in WinXP to change/force the Shuffle's drive letter on my laptop to be "Z" (right click on My Computer and choose Manage, then look for the Disk Management module - you probably will need Admin rights to do this, but I haven't confirmed that).
    PC   Windows XP Pro

Had this happening too, had a very old cable, tried a new cable and it worked great. My ipod was showing up in itunes, but not in windows (or in device manager). When I tried to use the utility to copy files from my ipod to my hard drive I couldn't do it (wonderful utility getsharepod.com). The new cable solved the problem!

  • HP Photosmart Plus B209a-m not recognizing any USB drive

When I go to scan to my USB, the USB drive is not recognized as a USB drive. I am using wireless, which works fine.  Is there a trick to scanning to a USB?

Hi , Perhaps the USB drive you are using is too large, I believe with a memory card, anything higher than 2 gb is too large, I wonder if the USB drive is the same. I will look into the possibility. In the meantime, Have you tried an alternate USB drive? Let's perform a hard reset. To do so, leave the printer on and unplug the power cable for 1 minute. While it is unplugged, hold down the power button on the printer for 10-15 seconds to release any built up power, then after the minute has passed, plug the printer back in. Also, do you have the printer connected directly to a wall outlet or is it in a surge protector or power bar? Even if you have been using a surge protector/power bar all this time and you feel it is not the cause, please connect it to a wall outlet just so we can eliminate the power source as the root cause.   Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector
In this document you will see, ISSUE: Problems or issues may arise when an HP LaserJet series printer is connected to an uninterruptible power supply (UPS), a power strip, or a surge protector ^ This is not limited to Laserjet printers.  Please let me know if you are able to get the printer to scan to the USB memory device and we can continue from there.
