Air 15 Android 4.4 Galaxy Tab 3/4 7" Native Crash

Hello,
since we moved to Air 15 from Air 4.0 we getting a lot of native crashes on Google Developer Console only with Android 4.4 and Galaxy Tab 3 and 4 with 7 inch display
we used air sdk 15.0.302 and 15.0.349 beta with stage 3d initiated with :
stage.stage3Ds[0].requestContext3DMatchingProfiles(Vector.<String>([Context3DProfile.BASEL INE, Context3DProfile.BASELINE_EXTENDED]));
users reporting that the game automatically closing after opening and randomly crashing.
the first error that happens a lot is :

my guess it's some how related to Marvell processor or to implementation of the driver on Android 4.4
any one experience this problem?
any suggestions for solution?
Thank you,

  • Compiling/Debugging AIR App. on Samsung Galaxy Tab

    Hey guys,
I'm currently testing/making a mobile app with Burrito/Hero SDK.  I am successfully compiling and debugging on my Droid 2 - there are certain settings on the phone that allows USB Debugging mode and also allows "unknown sources" (non-market applications) to be installed.
I want to be able to run/install the application on a Samsung Galaxy Tab - I want to see how it looks on a bigger resolution.  I am not able to turn on USB debugging on this device, therefore, cannot debug or install on the device.
Has anybody tried this?  Or does anybody know how to root the install so I can test my application?
    Thanks! Cheers!
    -Joe

    Hi!
I tried this, but no good results either.
When I did a number of google searches I came into conclusion that there's no Galaxy Tab drivers yet bundled with the Burrito. Then I tried to google the tab drivers for MacOS but couldn't find them either. So I guess that's the basic reason that Burrito team chose include just a subset of devices for the beta - or then Samsung has been postponing the mac driver implementation?
I assume you could tweak even FB4 to build to Android if you manually edit settings and configs and hunt the drivers and deploy AndroidSDK. But didn't want to go there...
I hope to have the galaxytab working asap since from my point of view that's the most interesting target environment (at the moment) because of the larger touch screen size and presumeably better CPU.
PS. Has Adobe guesstimated about FB4.5 release date yet?

  • Cant load Adobe Air on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1   4.2.2

    I get unexspected error 24

It's probably been "archived" for Android 3 and lower, for reinstalls, in case a phone or tablet needs to be "scrubbed" and reloaded. Android 4 and up don't support AIR (as far as I know) or Flash Player.
Google recommends "Dolphin" or "Puffin" browsers for sites that require Flash or and AIR component. They use "server side" rendering to ease the load on the device.

  • Multi touch issues on Android 2.2 (Galaxy Tab)

I am testing an application which just shows the touches. Didn't have problem in any platform (including iphone converted), but on Android some fingers stays (I guess I don't get the touch end event).
    It's running AIR 2.5.
    Did anyone notice similar issues?
    Thanks, chr

Looks like is going to be fixed by the newer release.

  • Flash Player on Galaxy tab 2

I now have two problems: 1 I tried to submit a question concerning above but you then asked for screen name which I had never heard before.  and couldn't access.  2.  I want to know why you invite me to download Flash Player on my Galaxy tab 2 and then disallow.  This is very annoying. I will not use any more Adobe products until this rectified. Norm Harris

    Hi,
If you had visited a Flash Player driven site from your Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, you might have got prompted to download Flash Player.
Flash Player does not support the latest versions of Android and hence Galaxy Tab 2. For more info and work arounds, readhttp://forums.adobe.com/message/4836271.
    Hope the above helps.

  • Can not download air to galaxy tab 3

I, too, am having problems downloading air onto my galaxy tab 3 (error 24). Unfortunately,  I need it to run the apps for therapy for my daughter's severe dyslexia.  Do we have any idea how long it will take to fix the problem?

Ok, I just found out that air is not supported by android OS above 4.0.x. Since my new tablet is 4.2.2, it looks like the developers are a little behind. I repeat my original question... how long until it is fixed?

  • Android Camera really choppy on Samsung Galaxy Tab

    Hi guys,
I'm building an AIR Application for Android devices and I'm using the Camera.
I found a really strange behaviour. When I first start the app and the camera initializes, I get around 1fps(!).
If I then press the home Button and klick on the app icon again, it's all good and I get the full framerate.
This same behaviour also occurs within the Tour de Mobile Flex app when I start the Raw Camera part.
As soon as I press home and then return to the app, everythings fine...
Anybody out there having the same issues and maybe a soulution?
    Help is highly apreciated.
    Gabor

Just so you don't think you're the only one, we've created an app as well with Adobe Air and we're using the Galaxy Tab as well, and we're getting worse framerates than you!  We're getting about 1 frame every 15 seconds.
I can do the same as you.  I hit the home button, and bring the app back into the foreground, and we get the full framerate back as well.  I do not have a solution either.

  • How do I stop Firefox for Android from popping up the on-screen keyboard when loading a page with a search box on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2?

When I go to certain sites on the web which have search boxes, Firefox will pop up the onscreen keyboard as the page load completes, without me doing anything to focus the search box. It's annoying to have to tell the keyboard to go away each time before I can navigate in the page.
I specified the device I am using (Galaxy Tab 2 7 inch) because it uses a nonstandard keyboard applet, called simply the Samsung Keyboard, which could be doing something different than the regular Android one. I don't have the option of switching to the stock Android keyboard.

That won't help iamjayakumars. That pref blocks popup windows on load. The keyboard is not a popup window.
This behavior happens because the website sets focus to a text box on the page. Firefox is following the standard behavior for desktop browsers.
