Airport Utility Timed Access Control does not allow/restrict access to wireless clients per the time set.

I have been trying to setup Timed Access Control in Airport Utility and it does not seem to be working correctly.
In Airport Utility from Edit Timed Access Control I Enter a name for my device (iPad/iPhone any device), enter my mac address, set time for Everyday and use default Between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, save and then update. When I go to my device iPad iPhone etc. I still have access even when it is after the time set, 5:00PM. If I set no access it will restrict access also I set a time between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM and access was restricted. It doesnt seem to matter what the device is. I know that the MAC Adress is set correctly. It seems like an issue with the Utility, possibly time miss match or something. Not sure if I am missing something or if this Utility just has flaws. Please Help.

I changed the default to (no access) and set an entry for my test device (an iPad) to "Everyday Between 9am to 5pm. The iPad was still able to gain access to the network.
Something else to note, if I try to edit the time of an entry it gives me an error on my MBP "Invalid value", "The value for “Timed Access Control” is invalid." This happens even if I delete a digit (number or letter in the time field) and replace with the exact same. Not sure if the two are related. I have tried to edit access from my iPad. I don't get any errors but I still don't get the expected results. I called Apple to try and get Tech support but they were not much help. Thanks again.

My MacBookPro works fine on both primary and guest networks. HP info shows excellent signal strength. Web page won't open. Tried reducing security level from WPA2personal to WPA. With a PC, the Windows Firewall and/or the anti-virus software will sometimes block an attempted Internet connection.
Check both applications to see if you can find a "blocked" item and then take steps to "allow" the connection.
If still no luck, temporarily disable the wireless security for a short period to see if the PC can connect that way. If it can.....then you know it is security related issue.
See if the PC can connect using a setting like WPA-PSK-TKIP. The equivalent Apple setting would be WPA/WPA2 Personal.

- Tried a reset.

I am using NWDS 2004s and working with GP implementation.
I am also able to see the development components as caf/eu/gp/api and sap.com/caf/gp/api/wd after copying the required files.
But while selecting caf/eu/gp/api i am getting following exception
Illegal dependency access list does not allow use of caf/eu/gp/api
Please suggest if you have any idea regarding this.

Are you using NWDI for development, or local development?
I had the same problem when using local development components. I read somewhere in the documentation that for this you have to use the NWDI.
Now I am using NWDI and this is working correctly.

JBuilder 5 Personal doesn't allow drag and drop capabilities for Database Express. Borland has disabled many of the programs features in the free downloadable version.
However, there are still many ways to access a database, you just have to do it yourself. For instance you can use the JDBC-ODBC bridge to connect to a MS Access database and there is plenty of on-line documentation on how to do this.

In most cases, you can't use a Debit card anymore. So, either redeem an iTunes gift card or use a credit card.

How do I tell what version airport express I have? Airport Utility says this version does not support this base station. What to do, how to update?

I tried to add an older airport express to my network that I had not been using. It shows up in Airport Utility but Airport Utility says that this version of Airport Utility Dies not support this base station. I am running airport utility V6.3.4 on a mac mini running OS X 10.10. Not sure which airport express it is, nor how to check. I assume I need a firmware upgrade on the Airport Express, but not sure how to do this without Airport Utility. I tried to download an older version of Airport Utility, but could not install because it does not support OS X 10.10 Any ideas other than throwing a perfectly good airport express away?

Don't throw the AE away. It is still very useful as I have both the old & new each work well (sometimes the sound keeps dropping out but I think that has to do with the wirless settings!!!)
You need Airport Utility 5.6.1 which works in 10.10 - I managed to download a .dmg from the net but not sure how I could get it to you.
The new utility doesn't support the old AEs unfortunately which I have and Apple have no intention of allowing a utility that will cover all
AEs.

Current version of Airport Utility 6.3.1 will not allow me to configure my Airport Extreme

I am trying to extend my Airport network. I bought a couple of years' ago an Airport Express and have been using that but the signal is weak at the back of the house so I thought I would bring back into action my Airport Extreme which I have had for at least 10 years. I can still use it as my primary wi-fi source directly of the modem but I am unable to configure it in the current version of Airport Utility as a base station to extend the network. I think that the Airport Utility is incompatible with it. Is this likely? Is there a soution? Many thanks.

Unfortunately, even if it were possible to find a version of AirPort Utility that would work with the old AirPort Extreme, the old Extreme does not have the capability to "extend a wireless network" since this feature was introduced in the 2007-2008 versions of the AirPorts.
I'm afraid that you will need to add a new AirPort Express or AirPort Extreme if you need to "extend" the current wireless network that the AirPort Express now provides.

Time access control does not work

I set up the time access control for my kids devices, but they can still access the internet.

Several possibilities exist:
1) The Timed Access entries are not being set up correctly. Have you tested each device yourself?
2) The kids are smart enough to know how to work around the settings
3) The kids know how to get on another nearby wireless network.
Regarding 2) and 3), there are numerous popular sites on the Internet that kids visit that provide them with tips and techniques to get around security on popular routers, so that possibility may be more real than you might imagine.
Regarding 1), we may be able to help, as there are two basic ways to set up Timed Access.....one being quite a bit more secure than the other. Unfortunately, this means a more time consuming and tedious set up.

When I try to run Windows update, it is not allowed due to system administrator is in control. The pc was on a domain, but is no longer.

You meant your PC had add into domain, but left afterwards, isn't it? It would be better to provide a screenshot for your error message.
How about create a new user account to make a test? This problem probably caused by Windows left domain imperfect.
In addition, you can also run gpresult /z >policy.txt command to check your current Policy settings if there is any policy disable Windows update.

Airport Utility 6.3.1 does not recognize Airport Extreme 7.6.4

Running OS 10.8.5. Message "This version of AirPort Utility doesn't support this base station. Go to AirPort Service...for more info" pops up. My wireless internet networks are fine but I am trying to network a printer and a few other mobile devices and I need to use the AirPort Utility. Anyone have an answer for me? I believe I am running on the latest for what is necessary and am not sure why this is happening.

[SOLVED] xhost access control does not work for specified users

After last upgrade of xorg to v1.17.1-1 I get message: "unable to open display ":0" " when trying to run any window application as user specified in xhost. My xhost list looks like:
access control enabled, only authorized clients can connect
SI:localuser:steam
SI:localuser:root
But if I disable access control for everyone by invoking "xhost +" applications run on another accounts without problems. Does anyone has that problem too?
