Yes, it would be unusual for AirPort Express to fail after only 16 months of use. However, anything is possible, including anything from an external source like a lightning strike or power-surge to a circuit failure of the base station itself.
If you haven't already, I would try a "factory default" reset on it. You may want to do this a couple of time to make sure it "sticks." If after doing these the status light is still off and the unit does not appear to be warm to the touch when plugged in, it most likely has failed.

If you are still having problems with your iPad, it is still under AppleCare.
Bring it into an Apple Store to have it diagnosed and repaired under warranty.

IMAC Won't start up its only 6 months old so I am frustrated.

This is the second time it has done this, the first time it froze when I clicked yes to and update, when I tried to turn it back on I got nothing but 3 beeps, so I got on my daughters PC and trouble shot the MAC finally got it back up and thought it was doing great. But the other day when I got up it was shut down (do not think there was a power outage, saw no evidence of one on other electronics)Any way when I turn it on the fans start it makes the noise like it is starting up then it starts the 3 beeps in a row pause 3 beeps again. I again got on my daughters netbook and tried to trouble shoot, but this time nothing is working. Any advise? Or is anyone else having this problem. I can't believe I am having problems with it already. This is my first MAC and I was so excited to get it, but now not so sure.

which is basically disconnecting ALL cables and power, and reconnecting it following a precise procedure. When you reconnect the power cord, if you have been using a crowded or old power strip (surge suppressor), try connecting it directly to the wall outlet, at least initially. Then power it up. If that allows it to start up properly, connect just your keyboard/mouse. Use it that way for a while. You should also use this procedure to reset PRAM

If all is well, you can add your peripheral (USB/FireWire) devices one by one. If the problem recurs at some point, check the possibility that the last device you added is causing this problem.
NOTE: After the SMC reset procedure, if the iMac still does not start up properly, even with nothing except the power cord connected, you should have it looked at by a technician at an Apple Store or Apple-certified shop. If it's only six months old, it still covered by the one-year warranty.

Wife's iPhone keeps shutting off randomly and does it even when on calls, restarts and has a dark line in center of the screen then the apple logo. At times it does it several times or won't power up, and the iPhone4 is only five months old. What do we do

Have an iPhone 4 that is now shutting off randomly including during calls. The iPhone is roughly about five months old. When the iPhone shuts down and tries to restart it usually take two or three times before it stays on, but when it does it sometimes has a dark line down the center and shuts off. Not very happy about the iPhone doing this. The store we had purchased the iPhone 4 from suggested that we contact Apple to see about a replacement, or send it away for service. As you can tell we are not happy at this point since the iPhone is crucial part of our day for work and family. What should we do at this point?

I Already popped out the Sim Card & let my phone sit without it for a few minutes then put it back in. Sometimes it will work again & it will say it recognizes the SIM Card but more times then not it still says it cant recognize it! So I have to take it out & reinsert it multiple times.
& I have done a complete restore 2 times & a back up restore 3 times. Nothing seems to be working.
I am planning on going to the Apple Store this week, wish me luck!

Airport Express- Amber Light Blinking - Nothing works!

Looking for Henry B. (or anyone else with a bright idea).
A few days ago, no airport connection from my PB G4. I have had the same setup for the last year and a half without a problem - Airport 802.11b to AXP to T1 connection to/from my wall (no modem or router, etc.).
Problems started with the no-connection. Clicking on the Airport icon in the toolbar gave me the endless spinning wheel. Hard shut down, which I NEVER have to do. In the last four days, I've done hard shut downs about 30-50 times.
AXP: had a green light. Unplugged for 20 seconds, plugged back in to a green light. Did a soft reset, thinking something had to change so the PB would see the AXP. Amber blinking light. Hard reset. Amber blinking light. Factory default reset: Amber blinking light. Every time, the PB doesn't see the AXP or an Apple Newtork XXXXXX.
Plugging the ethernet cable from the wall directly into the PB works great. Called the ISP, great technician could see my connection, said everything was fine on their end and that they do not limit any wireless/router equipment usage.
Again, not a single problem until a few days ago.
With all the crashes, I saw that some Finder crashes were involving Application Enhancer. I had Application Enhancer until an hour ago - uninstalled it. Didn't help. Also read about StuffIt AVR causing problems bu thaven't located any file with that name.
Henry B., if you're out there, please send me a miracle cure.

clicking Airport icon shows no available networks (i used to see some of the meighbors' networks sometimes. so i can't seem to connect wirelessly.
have another graphite iBook clamshell running Panther. didn't mention this earlier, but that computer has been acting similar to mine since the same day a few days ago. i just opened airport setup assistant and have the spinning ball for the last four minutes.
again, both computers worked fine until that day. the only things i could think of that would cause this coincidence are power surge, virus, or something to do with airport. PB is working fine now, after 4-5 restarts today. iBook now seems frozen.

My Macbook air (only 2 months old) has a black screen and I cannot see to get signed on, the keyboard seems to be on as I can see via having put on the Caps key which lights up and also the power cable when connected is at green how do I fix this?

Try booting the Recovery Partition. Power off, boot and then hold down the Command and R keys. Is the screen still black? If so it is not a software problem so take it in for diagnosis and repairs. If you are running Mavericks try upgrading to 10.9.2. It has a fix for black screen problems.

What exactly happens when you try to buy something ? If you've already removed the card from your account then iTunes shouldn't be asking for any details about it.
If you log into into your account is the card still shown . On your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should be a payment link. If you are doing it on your phone then tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account - that should also give you a payments link on your account's page.

My iPod won't recharge, register, restore, & it's only 4 days old!

So, I got a nice, new, shiny 5th Gen iPod for my 18th, 4 days ago, and it worked fine, for about two hours. After that, the battery meter was almost empty. I plugged it into the UBS port on the side of the eMac, and, like it had done up until this point, the desktop and iTunes recognised it and the green charge icon appeared. I left it overnight so as it could charge, (the computer set so it wouldn't fall asleep.)
The next morning I wake up to find it hasn't charged, or at least the chage meter hasn't gone up, and it failed to show the charged icon. I left it for another day thinking that maybe becuase it's new it takes longer to charge for the first time.
In the evening I came back to find that it now displays the monotone lightning bolt over a battery icon. As Apple suggested I left it for another half an hour, (in which time I was told it would charge) to find that not only has it failed to do that, but now the bloody computer won't recognise it.
I have tested all the UBS ports and know that they work, and tested the iPod on another, older Mac, with the same results.
The eMac I have been using is less than a year old, an operating system of OS X 3.9 and iTunes 6, which I think is all the standard operating sytems. I've tried restarting the iPod and computer, but niether seem to help. I'm at a loss to what I should do. Am I simply over reacting and this is what all new Pods do, or do I need to consider wrapping it up and sending it back?

I'd definately consider taking it back. If you bought it from a local apple store you can take it there and they'll check it out and probably even replace it if they have the same problems. Your ipod should not be doing this.

Plugged my phone in to charge and screen went navy blue, now fully charged (plugged into laptop to check) and screen is still blue. receiving all notifications but nothing is showing. HAS NOT been dropped its only 2 months old.

i was on facetime and phone was working perfectly normal. I plugged it in and left it for 5 minutes before going on it again, as i went to unlock it the screen was a dark blue colour and was receiving text messages but the screen was still this dark blue colour. i have since left it for an hour and restarted it multiple times but the screen is still the same. Ive plugged it into my mac to try and reset the whole phone but isn't letting me as i cannot type the password in. I'm just very confused as to how one minute it was working perfectly and now it isn't working at all. It hasn't been dropped.
