Album Artwork on Pre - How to Remove it

For background info:  I tried using double twist to move my ITunes music to my Palm Pre.  Double twist wanted to move all of the ITunes library music, not just the music I wanted. It was way more than my Pre could handle. My Pre basically "froze" and I had to eject it from my Mac.   I could only remove the music by going into the music folder on my Pre (plugged it into my Mac via USB).  The music is now all gone but I must have 600 album art covers that go flashing by when I click on my Music icon.  I would like to remove these album covers before trying another venue to get music on my Pre. (not double twist) Anyone out there have any recommendations?  I would appreciate any help - it is such a pain not to have music on my Pre.

Moving the desktop icon to the trash does not delete the app from the applications folder. Open a finder window and locate the app in applications. Then move the desktop icon to the trash and you will see that it stays in the applications folder with no deletion. Now if you move it to the trash from the applications folder than it will be gone from your system.

  • Album Artwork Incorrect. How to Correct?

I've been busy adding my entire music collection to iTunes/iPod and most of the time everything works brilliantly. However from time to time I get weird and wondeful Album Artwork that is completely irrelevant to the Album I've just imported, I've sussed removing the offending artwork, but want to know how I can find the correct artwork without going to all the hassle of scanning my CD covers and resizing etc, etc. Any ideas, links etc?

I've had the same problem on a few albums... I've tried changing the cover art several times. Even went into iTunes store and found the correct album cover but iTunes insists on the incorrect cover art. I cannot find a work around except for finding the correct cover art online and importing it manually. However, on importing and collecting over 7000 albums, iTunes has only missed the target 4 or 5 times in my count.

  • Get album artwork grayed out How can I cut and paste in iTunes?

I've got many cd's that I've ripped to Itunes. When I try to click "add album artwork" I get an error message (609) from itunes that it can't be found.  So when I try to manually add it it is grayed out.
    I've gotten this far:
    right click on song
    get info
    album artwork
The option to browse from ny own source (like pasting from iphoto) is grayed out.  I've tried to go in under the file name in "music" but I don't see any option for changing anything.
I'm getting tired of seeing all these where almub artwork should be:

  • Can you specify a new file path for album artwork in iTunes?

I want to store my music and the iTunes program on a drive other than my C Drive. I moved Windows' "My Music" folder from the "My Documents" along with the iTunes program and all my music to the new drive. I've changed the file path for the iTunes music folder location, but when I update my library iTunes creates the "My Music" folder in "My Documents" and downloads the album artwork there. How can I change this so iTunes will save the album artwork in the same place it saves the music? Is this possible?

    Hi,
The column's style classes will be added on the <td> elements, not the header sadly. So for your use case you'll have to place the class on the table itself then use the selector
af|table.MyStyleClass af|column.formHeader::header-text{}Sadly this will affect all columns, not just one so I don't know if it's going to fir your need.

  • Album Artwork - a few questions

I used the "Get Album Artwork" command for many of my albums (mostly ripped in MusicMatch and then imported into iTunes). This often works, adding the artwork to all the tracks with that one search.
When that fails to find the artwork, I try to find the artwork myself (Amazon, or other sites). But, it seems that I need to manually add the art to each track individually. Is there a more efficient way to do the manual add? About how much storage is required for the artwork for each track?
Sometimes, when I look at the Get Info summary screen, instead of the album art or blank box that says "No Artwork Available" there is a dot. Are these corrupt entries? Any way to fix this?
Lastly, after adding album artwork to iTunes, how do I get it over to the iPod. I don't auto-sync because I have far more music than space allows on the 8GB Nano. Would I need to delete the albums from the iPod and then re-transfer the albums from iTunes?

+Highlight all the songs in the album. Right-click, Get Info. Say yes at the prompt, and then the artwork that you add will apply to all of them.+
I get the prompt to browse to where the artwork is stored only when I right-click on a single track. I don't get that option when multiple tracks are selected.
+Before you paste it in, right-click the image and look at Properties. 10kB, 30kB, 70kB would be pretty typical values for those kind of JPEGs. They are small compared to the music file.+
Sorry, I wasn't clear enough. I know how to tell how large the image file is. what I'm asking is if I manually associate the artwork with 10 tracks, does the file take up 10x the amount of space or is it stored only once, with 10 pointers to that single art file.

  • Album Artwork wanted in Music App - NOT Artist profile image

Right, so i've already read a bunch of threads pertaining to this issue but none have helped me so im starting my own.
I'm a hardened iphone user, and mac user in general, residing in the UK.
I recently bought an iphone 5s on O2 network and syncronised my new handset from a back up i had which was made from my old iphone 4s.
Now, im aware others experience a similar problem with the Music app in iOS7 - in that some artists show an "Artist profile picture" and others show one (of perhaps many) album artworks which are stored on the device.
This is an issue for me, here's why...
Being a huge music lover, and a creative (im a graphic designer) i digest my music library when scrolling visually through the artworks i see.
Without them, im usually highly uninterested in listening to anything as i can never decide what to put on.
Some artists profile pictures look more or less the same too, so i could be staring at 3 seperate artists who all look the same yet span completely different genres and i'll skip past every one of them because i cant remember exactly what songs i may have of theirs on my iphone.
I've read up on how people have managed to get ALL artists in their music library to display the artist profile picture instead of the album artwork, but not how they managed to get the album artwork back instead of the artist profile images.
I find this heavily annoying having just invested in a 64gb (32gb wasn't enough for my library of music) and ironically, i now don't want to listen to any of it because its so difficult to mentally register what i have in front of me, and make a choice...
    help!

I know there is a setting in iTunes but I am not sure if it applies to iOS. Especially if songs are purchased directly on iOS but you can experiment with it.

  • Embeded artwork - how to remove wrong album covers

I wish to replace wrong embedded artwork with correct album artwork from google etc - how do I do this?
    VMT - RTD

Select all the tracks of the album, right-click (option-click on Mac) and click *Get Info*. Paste your new artwork into the square artwork box and click OK. If you just want to remove incorrect art for now, tick the checkbox while leaving the artwork box blank and the art will be removed.

  • How can I edit/change/update/remove album artwork for a song in iCloud?

    Dear Community,
    my problem is the following.
I'm editing my songs/albums artworks and when I change these artworks, iTunes Match syncs my artworks back to the original ones.
I've tried a lot of things, read a lot of discussions but I didn't find a solution for this problem.
    For example:
I've deleted for an album all of my songs artworks, then set the good one. Then I've done an update for iTunes Match in Store menu. My artworks didn't changed on an Apple TV2
If I just delete the artworks, do an iTunes Match upgrade, the artworks on an iPhone 4S & Apple TV2 remains the same (I've also removed the songs from my iPhone and redownloaded them...)
I used TuneUp iTunes plugin for song identifying. It did a very good job, changed my artworks, my metadata, everything looked good. After a few minutes iTunes Match synced, the artworks restored to the old ones, but the metadata info didn't changed, it is updated in iCloud too.
I'm also tried to get artworks from iTunes, it worked very well for some albums, but again: iTunes Match synced...
I've turned off iTunes Match, done the album editing. Again when I've turned on iTunes Match, the album artworks restored..
In my opinion if I use a cloud service, anything I do locally in my iTunes library, it should sync up to the cloud. EVERYTHING means music, music metadata, music artwork etc.
    So what is the solution?
What can be the reason all of this?
    Someone has the same issue?
    Is it a bug?
    One more thing
In this album all of my songs has the same artwork (David Guetta: One Love)
Look at the BRAVO hits cover

Try this, it has worked for me.
    1. Make a new, empty iTune library by launching iTunes while holding down the Option key.
    2. Choose create new library; do NOT have iTunes scan for music.
    3. Enable iTunes Match on the empty library.
    4. Find the tracks with the wrong artwork, highlight them, Get Info and paste the correct artwork into the "artwork" field.
    5. When finished update iTunes Match, then re-launch iTunes while holding down the Option key and chose select library to get back to the "master" library.

  • How Do I Remove Album Artwork from Apple TV (2nd gen) Screen Saver

I can't stand looking at pixelated album artwork of, say, Dr. Dre's "The Chronic" when I'm listening to "Le nozze di Figaro." How can I get the album artwork off the Apple TV without losing the artwork on my iPod Touch.
I've selected Settings > Screen Saver and then under "Photo Screen Savers" I've picked the photo album I want. (It took 15 minutes to load 1800 images.) But the stupid album artwork keeps showing up. Turns out I should've listened to my friend who said never update iTunes or AppleTV software because it won't improve your quality of life. Too true. Help please!

BTW -- I'm using a MacBook Pro that's less than 8 mos old, running OSX ver 10.7.5. No other problems with computer, iTunes, iPhoto or Apple TV.

  • How do I change/remove my album artwork?

I got bored one day when I had my old windows computer - and went through my iTunes library filling in files that didn't have album artwork with random images (didn't have the internet then to download real artwork either). Now I would really like to get rid of the non-sensical images but they seem to be stuck to the file - I got rid of the images from the "album artwork" files but they're still stuck to the music files. Can anyone help me?

Right click on the song you want to remove the artwork from, choose Get Info then the Artwork tab, click on the image and press the delete button then OK. To remove from multiple items, highlight the adjacent tracks in your selection (click on the first in the list, hold down the shift key and click on the last), right click and choose Get Info, choose yes when you are asked if you want to edit multiple items, tick the box beside the small empty artwork window about halfway down on the right. (if the songs aren't adjacent to each other but spread through out the playlist or library hold down the Command (⌘) key and click on each of the songs you want to highlight)

  • How can I remove "Album Artwork" from my iPhone and iPad?

I've posted about this before in other threads, but the silence from Apple has been deafening,  Others in the community have agreed with the request but haven't been able to answer it.
I thought a thread of its own might get attention, since Apple won't talk to me otherwise.
I use music on my iPhone and iPad a lot, playing through speakers in my study or through the car system.  It worked well at first, until I updated the operating systems.
Now, where I used to have a list of albums, music, or playlists I have large blank areas where album artwork would go if there were any - which in most cases there isn't.  The iPad used to display 50 or more playlists in one screen, with some details of them.  Now, it shows 15 blank squares with a crotchet on them, and the name of the playlist.  That really isn't much use.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can there be a way to turn OFF album artwork on the iPhone and iPad?   It wastes an enormous amount of screen space for stuff I don't have and don't want.   It's a very unwelcome new "feature" (ie "bug").

Apple does not participate in these forums, so that would explain why you have not received a response.
I am not aware of a way to turn off Album art on the devices. If you want to let Apple know of your desire for this setting, go to www.apple.com/feedback and click on the appropriate link. That is where you communicate with them. They will receive the feedback, however they do not respond to it.

  • How can I manually transfer album artwork from my library to my iPod

I downloaded album artwork to the songs in my library, and now I want to get the artwork onto the songs on my iPod classic. Problem is, I manually manage the songs on my ipod, instead of auto-syncing.... so when I hit the "sync" button in the latest version of iTunes (11.1.1.11), nothing happens. There also isn't a "show album artwork on iPod" button anymore. I'm afraid to change my settings from manual to automatic syncing, because I have lots of playlists on my iPod that aren't in my library, and I don't know if these playlists will be removed during the auto-sync. So how can I manually get the album artwork onto my iPod?
    Thanks,
    Rob

You can only backup iOS devices.
Sadly the old trick of removing all artwork and then adding it all back again no longer works. You may get some joy if you removed the specific album, then add it back again, butgenerally once things go wrong with artwork on a classic the only option is to restore it. Not a problem if all the media is in your library and you sync with a small number of selected playlists. If you don't have all the media see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

  • How do I get iTunes on the iPad to NEVER show album artwork when clicking a song?

    Hi Folks,
How do I get iTunes on the iPad to NEVER show album artwork when clicking a song?
I go in-and-out of the iPod app quite a lot (I use the iPad to help me while practicing music and I use multiple apps), so it's frustrating to have to constantly close the album artwork.
Apologies - I saw many threads about this but none that answered how to ALWAYS stop iTunes from jumping to artwork.  If I missed the correct thread, I would appreciate a link.
    Thank you.

That's what I thought - Apple generally has clean interfaces, so if I can't find an option to do something, it probably doesn't exist.
Thank you for a quick answer - and yes, I'll add this feedback.
I also just dropped Google feedback to PUT THE HOME LINK BACK IN THEIR LOGO.
What madness came over them to remove it??
I heard their engineers had a battle over this decision as well.

  • How do I delete all album artwork v10.5.2 OSx 10.5.8

My car stereo is having major issues with loading album artwork from my iPod.
I need to remove all of the artwork and then update my iPod so it doesn't have artwork in it.
I currently have 9750 items in music in iTunes so one by one really isn't really do-able.

Deleting tracks that are embedded in the song files is easy. Select a group of files, right-click on them, select Get Info from the contextual menu. On the window that appears, there will be an empty artwork square. Select the checkbox next to it, then click OK.
Newer versions of iTunes also store album artwork outside the individual tracks, in a separate folder. I don't know how to safely remove those.

  • How do I update Album artwork onto my ipod.....

How do I update Album artwork onto my ipod after i have found the artwork and added it to my itunes?
i tried to just plug in my ipod and sync. it but that didnt work.

*Why is artwork not showing on my iPod when it's there in iTunes?*
iTunes will display a cover in many of it's views provided at least one track from the album has embedded artwork. The iPod appears to load only the artwork from track one to create the cover flow and album views which means that it can sometimes fail to display art for albums even when you can see the art in iTunes. Further, when tracks are played on the iPod, artwork is displayed if and only if it exists in the currently playing track, so track one may show art while track two does not.
*How to find tracks without artwork*
To find all the tracks without artwork so that you can update them you can try http://www.stum.de/itunes-find-tracks-without-artwork/ for Windows or http://dougscripts.com/itunes/scripts/ss.php?sp=trackswithoutartwork for Macs. Use Google, Amazon, Discogs etc. to locate relevant images. Ideally these should be square, 320x320 pixels or above and borderless to give the best results in the various menus. If you have artwork for some tracks of an album, but not others, find the album in the main music folder, select a track with artwork, right-click (Option-Click for Macs) on the art & click copy, then select all the tracks of the album, use CTRL-I or Command-I to *Get Info* and then paste the image into the artwork box.
I say 320x320 because I believe (from using TouchCopy) that it's the size used in the iPod cache so if you're going to crop or resize you might as well work to that size. Otherwise 200x200 is probably good enough.
    *Rebuild artwork cache*
Sometimes the artwork cache becomes corrupt and fails to show correct artwork, even when this is properly set up in iTunes. To rebuild the artwork cache, connect your iPod to iTunes. Locate the iPod in the Sources pane on the left-hand side, then select the Music tab. Remove the tick from *Display album artwork on your iPod*, sync the iPod, reselect the option & sync again.
