My Album says it was purchased but does not show up in my library.

You should be able to it by ticking the 'show iTunes in the Cloud purchases' tick box on the Store tab in Edit > Preferences (iTunes > Preferences on a Mac) - it should then show in the Music part of your library with a cloud icon against it for downloading (downloading the booklet for it this way may not work, you may get a 'corrupt file' message when trying to open it).
Or go to the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage and you should be able to download it from there (at one point it was listed under 'Various', not 'U2', not sure if it's been corrected).
A third option is to sign out of your account (Store > Sign Out menu option), find the album in the store and then click on its free 'price' button - you should then be prompted to sign back in and the album should download.

On your computer, click on iTunes in the top menu, click on Preferences, and then on the Store tab. Make sure that "Show iTunes in the Cloud Purchases" is checked. You should now be able to see the album in your Music library with a little cloud next to it. Click on the cloud to download it.
On your devices, go to Settings>iTunes & App Store and under "Show All" make sure that the Music button is on.

A long time ago I purchased Talk That Talk (Deluxe Edition) by Rihanna on my itunes on my mac. My computer crashed and I had to get a new one. I signed back on to my account on itunes and I was able to redownload my music to my new computer, except for this album and a tv series I got for free. I went to purchased and looked on my cloud and its not there to be found. it still says purchased on the page. What should I do?

Album says "Purchased" but my iTunes account disagrees

Hello, first time long time. I recently formatted my MacBook Air and am in the process of re-aquiring my music. One album is being problematic. I know that I purchased the album, about 1.5 years ago, and when I go to the album page on iTunes it does say "Purchased". But the album isn't listed in my Purchase History, or Complete My Album, and iTunes will not let me download the album again because of it already being Purchased. Any ideas?

Try to log out your account off iTunes, Log back in, and select "look for Purchases" in one of the iTunes menus.

HT201272 I pre ordered Avicii's album, it says purchased but not showing up in my purchased folder and not allowing me to download. Just says purchased

As I said I pre-ordered the album, however I had already bought the two songs (Wake Me Up and You Make Me).When the preorder went through in the first place, it was not showing up as a download, it showed up as an iCloud download. I thought it was weird however I still went forward and downloaded it. Wasn't a huge deal but the two singles werent showing up as part of the album, they were the singles. That bugged me so I thought deleting them all and re downloading them would work and I would have the whole album instead of a part album and two singles. However, now in iTunes it says that the album (True) is purchased and there is no way of re-downloading. It is not showing up as a purchase anywhere else though... I've gone to the iTunes front page, went to the purchased tabs and it says the last purchased song was "Skip to the Good Bit" by Rizzle Kicks (good song btw). On my iPod there it is not in recently listened to or added< almost no record that I've bought these songs. I would even re-purchase. I wouldn't entirely want to, but thats not even an option...

It sounds like you are wanting to download an album that you pre ordered, not all the songs are downloading. First, use this section of the following article to see if the tracks download:
Download a pre-ordered item
When a pre-ordered item becomes available, you will receive an email letting you know that you can download your pre-order.
If you enabled the option to automatically download prepurchased content in iTunes, then your pre-ordered content may already be in your library. If not, click the download link provided in your email notification, and your pre-ordered content will begin to download. You can also use the Check for Available Downloads feature in iTunes on your computer (choose Store > Check for Available Downloads) to begin downloading your pre-order.

So i've found the answer to this by clicking on every menu and setting in the itunes store. It turns out some purchases in the cloud can be hidden probably as the result of an interrupted transfer/sync/backup or a network outage. To unhide purchases 'greyed out ' items , go to the Itunes store (on the PC) click on your account name and select view account. (you'll be prompted for your itunes password) once you are in scroll down to the purchase history section. there should be an option for hidden purchases. click through and click on unhide purchases, redownloadble purchases. any hidden purchases will then show up. click on unhide to reactivate and download. This may only work for purchases in the cloud.

ITunes for Windows freezes when importing a library. I have a large but not huge library of mostly iTunes purchased music on two authorized computers and would like to sync the files, export the library as a playlist, and import it on the other computer.

I am running iTunes for Windows 10.2.2 on Windows 7 Home. I have my iTunes library on both this computer and another authorized machine running Windows 7 Professional. I have a large but not enormous library, as I'm one of those people who doesn't pirate, use torrents, borrow from a dozen friends, or whatever other shades of gray you might imagine. It's mostly iTunes purchases with my old CD collection imported. I have started using the following technique to sync my libraries between my two authorized computers, an ability which you can probably all agree should one day be added to iTunes -- that would be different from Home Sharing, because the music would be stored locally and thus available on the road. With the added benefit of the entire library being backed up on the other machine in real-time. Anyway, when I switch from my desktop to laptop and vice versa, I use the following technique:
Connect both machines to the home network. One machine is the "Active" machine, which has most recently been used for iTunes media, purchases, ratings, etc.
On the "Active" machine, File-->Library-->Export. Save the file as "Library.xml" on the shared drive of the other machine.
Right-click "Library.xml" where it's been saved, and open another file that has two lines in it: The root path of the iTunes library on one machine and the root path of the iTunes library on the other machine.
Do a find/replace all in Notepad to make the library XML file point to where the files will be saved on the "Inactive" machine.
Run Microsoft SyncToy to synchronize the files between both music libraries; the most recent files win. This avoids copying the entire multi-gigabyte library over the network.
Open iTunes on the "Inactive" machine.
Go to Music, Select All, Delete. Keep files.
Do the same for Movies, Music Videos.
Go down to Playlists, select the top one, hold down the delete button until they're all gone.
File-->Library-->Import Playlist. Choose the "Library.xml" file you saved.
First a status bar comes up that says, "Importing library." It has the continually-scrolling progress bar, not the one that starts on the left and steadily creeps right. Then after about 30 seconds, that clears out. Wait. Typically a few minutes. Eventually a status bar will pop up saying something like, "Evaluating gapless playback information," or something like that.
The "Inactive" computer is now the "Active" computer. I can now play my library, it has all my playlists and metadata from the other machine.
Delete all the duplicate playlists named "Music," "Genius," "Purchased," and "iTunes DJ."
Well, I just upgraded to iTunes 10.2.2 a few days ago and tried to do this again like I've done it dozens of times before. Now, iTunes just goes unresponsive after the library import. It got through the "Importing library" bar to the long wait and stopped. I can still multiprocess and use other programs, but iTunes is hovering back there not responding to clicks. Task Manager doesn't seem to think iTunes is using my CPU, and I don't see my hard drive rattling. Any thoughts on why iTunes might hang up when importing a large library?
... Also, please help lobby Apple to come up with a network sync tool built into iTunes for a user with multiple authorized computers. Something different than Home Sharing so I can pull my laptop off the network and still have the synced library with me. And all my metadata changes will sync. The technique I use seems a little kludgey, don't you think?

iTunes isn't an editor. You need an app that's intended for editing audio files, like Adobe Audition (http://www.adobe.com/products/audition.html) or Audacity (free in the App Store).

I would be eager to download and listen to a pre-ordered album as well. I found a couple of resources that might help with downloading this purchase.
First, I recommend checking to see if the download was interrupted. You can use the steps in this article:

If the album does not download after following the steps in that article, I recommend trying to download the album from the list of past purchases. As long as you are signed in with the same Apple ID you used to purchase the album, you will not be charged again. Yes it would, possibly even brick it.
Have successfully connected my ipod nano with iTunes so looks like the device driver is working.
Can I use my ipod nano USB connector to check?
It is not much help to you, since the device that you need still not recognized.
Anyway looks like I may have to swallow the loss of data. Have set-up a call for tomorrow with Apple support so will wait until after this before doing the factory restore!

You might, depending upon what country that you are in, be able to download them via the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app on your phone, and the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your computer's iTunes (or try the Store > Check For Available Downloads menu option on your computer's iTunes and see if that downloads them).
If you aren't in a country where music can be redownloaded, and you never downloaded those 14 tracks, then try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com
