  • TS4036 Issues retrieving purchased albums in full from icloud

I have recently bought new PC so am in process of importing all my music off harddrive, plus downloading all purchased items from my iCloud into new iTunes
I have issue where purhcased albums in my library are showing as only part-downloaded. For e.g. i have the full Lana del Rey album, originally purchased from iTunes 2 , but my library only shows i have tracks, 1,3,5 and 7 and 8 (there are 12 tracks)
I also cannot seem to upload the album in full either from my external harddrive, even though the tracks are all there and in correct format, bought from same location?
    Any ideas please?

  • ITunes says "buy this album for full price, or view the offer for a reduced price"

I am trying to purchase an album which contains a song I have already purchased.  In the past I've always had to pay full price.
Now a new alert comes up that I have never seen before:
"You’ve already purchased at least one song from this album.  You can buy this album for full price, or view the offer for a reduced price."
    The button options are:
    - Cancel
    - Buy Album
    - Complete My Album
I tried pressing 'complete my album' and it returns me to the album in the store without purchasing anything.
I assume pressing 'Buy Album' will just purchase the album at the full price.
Which of these options is the one that I should select if I want to "view the offer for a reduced price"?
It's confusing because the button options do not seem to align with the options in the alert text.

Actually, you have 1 other choice if you are not happy with the Share Everything plan. You can receive a subsidy on a new phone, give up your unlimited data and switch to the 2GB for $30 tiered data for your smartphone and keep your current plan. With your data usage, this seems it would work just fine for you.
Unfortunately, if you currently receive an employee discount on your data plan, you would lose it. Discounts are not available on data tiers of less then $50. So at most, your bill would go up a couple of dollars.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to add project, folder or album in full screen mode

I love the full screen mode but I do need to go back (F) to "normal" mode for library changes like adding a new album, folder or project.
All other library functions do work like move projects into folder etc.
The function is shown in "inspector" (right mouse button) but you can not select the function.
Is this not supported like the faces and places "button" in full screen mode as i learned reading this forum?

If you close Firefox while in full screen mode then Firefox should start the next time in full screen mode as well.
If that doesn't happen the see:

  • Is there a way to download whole albums with full size photos from picasa to iPhoto without doing it one by one?

A number of people have sent me albums of photos in picasa.  There doesn't seem to be a way to import the entire album into iphoto other than doing each photo one by one.  Also, when I do each photo, it doesn't appear that I can copy it into a full size photo.
These are all albums with hundreds of photos.  I think in the old iphoto you could subscribe to an RSS feed to get the whole album into iphoto but I am not sure you can do this anymore.  Can you?
And if not, is there a way to copy whole albums in?  It would be so time consuming to do them one by one!
    I am using iphoto 9.5.1

    You need to
    1. Download the images to a folder on the desktop.
It may be possible to download an entire album at a time, but that's a question for a Picasa forum
    2. Then import the folder to iPhoto.

  • HT3798 On iPod 160gb - how can I view album art full screen like in the menu half screen or photo slideshows?

I remember responding to an apple customer satisfaction survey in 2009, when I purchased my iPod Classic. I suggested it should be possible to have album art viewed in full screen like in photo slideshows or how album art is presented on half the screen when the menu is navigated to the 'music' list. Does anyone know if apple has created an iPod Classic software update which includes this glaring omission?

The progress bar is not the iPod disconnecting from the PC but rather the iPod reading in the library database from it's hard drive. It's safe to disconnect when told to.

  • IPhoto '11 Photo Album with Full-bleed Pages?

    H o w d y  ~
When creating an 8.5"x11" album in iPhoto '11, is it possible to remove the one-quarter inch white border that appears along the top, right, and left sides?  When viewed in iPhoto, my album has no white borders [the pages are full-bleed], but the proof .pdf has these borders [though not along the bottom, oddly enough].  This is especially problematic as these borders cut into the photos.  Attachments are screenshots of an album page viewed in iPhoto [no borders] and that same page viewed in the .pdf [borders have automagically appeared].  … Enlightenment appreciated! . . . .
                            ~  s k n a h T
           e k i M ~

==>  [Please disregard the above.  Turns out the white borders were an artifact of the method I used to produce the .pdf (command-P; Save PDF).  When using option-Buy Book, the actual version sans print borders was created.  Mea culpa!] . . . .

  • New Smart Album is Full of Pictures

Trying to create a "Smart Album" in the hopes that transferring a video there will eventually allow me to export the video from iPhoto to somewhere outside of iPhoto. But every time I create a "Smart Album" it's filled with 45 photos...the same 45 photos...from elsewhere in iPhoto. How do you create an empty "Smart Album" in iPhoto?

a smart album contains all of the photos that meet the certeria you set - the only way tohave an empty one is to have a criteria that nothing eets

  • CD booklets for full album purchases

I purchased the Battlestar Galactica soundtrack albums as full album downloads from the iTunes Store. Since they were digital downloads, they didn't include copies of the CD booklets that come with physical copies.
I understand that some albums available through iTunes do include a digital version of the booklet. Who should I pester to have this information made available with these albums in the future?
    Thanks!

Ok, now that you've explained your process, it seems alright. Nothing wrong there.

Another problem I notice sometimes is also that sometimes I will add an album (ripped by EAC/LAME), but it doesn't get added to iTunes.
This happens when itunes encounters a file not compatible with it. Even if the file says it MP3, there's something about it that itunes finds unplayable, usually in the encoding process, sometimes in the ID3 Tags.
It's unfortunate that iTunes ripping quality isn't up to the mark like EAC, otherwise I wouldn't have trouble at all...
This is how I understand it, itunes' AAC encoder is equal to LAME's MP3 encoder. Itunes' MP3 encoder is inferior to that of LAME's. If you're encoding in AAC anyways, might as well use itunes.
Besides that, what's worse is both my albums which are giving trouble are Gold CD's, & I'm not too keen on the idea of putting them in a CD/DVD Drive. Just too scared of scratches
Hmmm...I don't know anything about Gold CDs, and wiki isn't that enlightening. Are they like regular CDs in that, the files are encrypted/encoded as WAV files? It might be due to the source (Gold CDs) that the ipod is having trouble with even if itunes accepts it. The Classics are really particular as to format compatibility and health of the file structure itself than older ipods. A tiny error which older ipods find acceptable becomes unplayable in the Classics. Case in point, I have one song in the Classic that skips mid-song but when the same song is played in my old 4th Gen, there was a squeak, right where the Classic skips, but continues playing.
Try the steps I've outlined above (except the re-ripping part), if none of them work however, I think you're only choice is to re-rip. In itunes (not EAC/LAME) no less.

Last summer I bought a music album from iTunes. I've already transferred all my purchases from my units, but somehow iTunes wants me to pay for the same album again. When I try to add it to my wish list it simply tells me that I've already bought that item.
And I've already tried to search for downloadable purchases.
So fact is established, I've purchased this album before but iTunes does not recognize it.
    What to do?

Hey sorry for the late response but I've been out of town.  I can copy and paste the email responses if necessary or desired, and if it's fixed already this is a moot point anyway, but basically they kept asking me for the order numbers for the two songs I already bought from the specific album I was trying to complete, which I eventually gave them - along with telling them multiple times that the Complete My Album feature wasn't working for ANY album.  They gave me two free song codes to compensate me for the two songs I bought, and then told me to go and buy the album at full price, but the ENTIRE TIME they COMPLETELY ignored that I was telling them that this wasn't an issue with one album but was a larger, seemingly systematic issue that other people were experiencing.  Even after I got the song codes I emailed them back and said AGAIN that this wasn't an isolated feature, and they just sent me the link to the apple Feedback page (http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html) and told me to submit my complaint there.  So, technically, my issue was never really "resolved," in that they never fixed the Complete My Album feature that I am aware of - or even acknowledged that anything needed fixing, but I haven't tested it since Sunday.
If it's working for you, then hopefully they fixed it!  I've noticed they've updated to 10.4.1, but the notes don't indicate they're fixing anything about the Complete My Album feature, so I don't know.

  • Upon opening a thumbnail to view full size image, it often spontaneously zooms to only display bottom left quarter of image.

When double-clicking on the thumbnail image of an iPhoto album, the full size image will often spontaneously zoom to only display the bottom left quarter of the entire photo when it displays in full size. I can easily work around this by clicking on the right arrow to go to the next full size image (which will display properly) and then click on the left arrow to go back to the initial affected image (which will also then display properly). It does not do this when full-sizing all images from their thumbnails - probably less than 10% of the time; but still often enough to be a pian. I cannot find anything in the preferences which would appear to cause or correct it.
It is a recent problem. I have been using iPhoto extensively for many years without any problems. I cannot recall for sure, but it may have started after my update to version 9.4.2.
Using an iMac with plenty of RAM, latest version of iPhoto 11 and Mountain Lion version 10.8.2.

What is the format of the PS photos and are there any alpha channels in them? You might try to re-edit them with PS, making some insignificant change and then saving.  See if the new edit will display properly.  Are you saving as jpgs with the Baseline format?
I may be preaching to the choir here but this may be of interest:
Using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements as Your Editor of Choice in iPhoto.
1 - select Photoshop or Photoshop Elememts as your editor of choice in iPhoto's General Preference Section's under the "Edit photo:" menu.
2 - double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto to open it in Photoshop.  When you're finished editing click on the Save button. If you immediately get the JPEG Options window make your selection (Baseline standard seems to be the most compatible jpeg format) and click on the OK button. Your done.
3 - however, if you get the navigation window
that indicates that  PS wants to save it as a PS formatted file.  You'll need to either select JPEG from the menu and save (top image) or click on the desktop in the Navigation window (bottom image) and save it to the desktop for importing as a new photo.
This method will let iPhoto know that the photo has been editied and will update the thumbnail file to reflect the edit..
NOTE: With Photoshop Elements  the Saving File preferences should be configured as shown:
I also suggest the Maximize PSD File Compatabilty be set to Always.  In PSE’s General preference pane set the Color Picker to Apple as shown:
Note:  to switch between iPhoto and PS or PSE as the editor of choice Control (right)-click on the thumbnail and select either Edit in iPhoto or Edit in External Editor from the contextual menu. If you use iPhoto to edit more than PSE re-select iPhoto in the iPhoto General preference pane. Then iPhoto will be the default editor and you can use the contextual menu to select PSE for your editor when desired.

  • I can't find the "Complete My Album" button in iTunes.

Hi I'm new to itunes and hope someone can help me.
I was in the process of buying an album and a window poped up telling me I already have 2 of the songs on this album and this was making me eligible to buy the album at a reduced price. In order to check the songs I already had and to buy the album at a reduced price I had to click the "Complet My Album" tab or to continue and buy the album at full price, it said to click "buy album". When I clicked "Complet My Album" nothing happened.
What am I supposed to do to buy the album at a reduced price?
Where or when does the "Complete My Album" apear? I can't find it anywhere?
By the way, both songs I have from that album where only bought yesterday and today. I just didn't know they were on this album.
Thank you for your attention to my problem.

The link should be in the upper-right of the iTunes Store window, under the Quick Links header, below Browse, Power Search, Account, et. al.

  • Displaying album artwork 'fullscreen' on 160GB iPod classic?

I recently upgraded by 80GB iPod to a 160GB one.
I see the menu/interface is all "souped up".
Whilst it does look quite slick, I guess,
one thing i miss is the ability to press the centre button a couple of times, and it displays the album art "full screen" - this function no longer seems available on the 160GB model.
Instead, the cover art is shown tilted/slanted in perspective, with a "reflection" underneath.
This is all very "cool", doubtless, but it also distorts the image a bit and makes it smaller - sometimes I would like to see the detail clearly...

    there's feedback pages?
(One piece of my feedback would be: why is the Apple site so hard to navigate and find anything on??
What's the link for that, I'll go tell feed back to them plenty!

  • Opening photos in album

    Hey guys,
I have a question about opening photos in album...
Photos taken with Z1 camera are great, but there is a great difference when I try to open a photo in album from full list of photos (just clicking on one), or swiping photos from one to another (like slideshow)..
The problem is that when I open album and just click on one photo to see, Z1 almost instantly focuses that photo when I open it or zoom in...
But when I swipe from one photo to another, or chose Slideshow, it takes about 5-7 seconds for every photo when i zoom in to get clear image..
So its kinda annoying when I am showing my great Z1 photos to someone by swiping them one by one, to have to wait 7 secs just to zoom in or show the details Z1 camera gets..
So has anyone else noticed that?
    Ty
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

It is slow only with really huge images, but let's face it, even full size PC does it in some seconds Think of it this way - Z1 is sometimes even faster than some PCs/laptops
When everything have failed already, try to read the manual.
