Albums in iTunes Store but not matching

Hi,
I stumped up my £21.99 last night and sent iTunes Match off to do it's thing. I'm on pretty crummy ADSL connection so the resulting upload (some 5,000 'items' from an iTunes library of 6,500 songs!) will no doubt take a while.
Howevre, I've noticed a HUGE amount of songs for which there is no iCloud/iTunes Match icon. My Library does contain the odd obscurity, but really not that many - and if a track is obscure/incompatible wiht Match then there would be an icon there, albeit the cloud with the line through it (which incidently is often toitally unjustified... AAC file created on a Mac above the min kbs, but that's another thread).
I've done a bit of chekcing an most of he songs/albums that have no iTunes Match/iCloud icon are songs and albulms that are available in the iTunes Store. Most of them I've ripped myslef from purchased CDs (above the min kbs). I thought the idea of Match was that it would recognise songs it (iTunes) sells and will match them?
At the moment far too many of my songs are simply being ignored by the Matching process. There's also many instances where there might be one song on an album that has no icon, and simialrly there are some albums where all except one song has an icon.

Firstly, you need to turn on the iTunes Status column in the iTunes browser. That will tell you how the song is actually being identified. Pull down View > View Options, select "icloud status" and click the OK button. Once a song is successfully processed it will have a status of either "matched" or "uploaded." Which leads me to...
Secondly, once a track in your iTunes library is successfully processed it will not have a cloud icon in the "iCloud Download" column. There will only be something in that column if the song has not yet been processed by iTM (it is "waiting), there is some sort of error, or the original track has been deleted from the library and it is availble for download from the cloud.
Thirdly, just because a song is available in the iTunes store does not automatically mean it will be "matched." There have been a lot of discussions about this on the forum. Please do a search and you'll be able to read them.

When you download something from the iCloud, it is a brand new licensed copy. Your iCloud account just contains a notation that you have this app. It isn't storing an actual copy of the app from your Mac.

Do you have a credit card, or a different debit card that you could try (some are apparently still accepted in India) ?

You seem to be having an individual problem, if it is not working.

Is requesting songs on itunes store really helpful? is the itunes team serious about adding music that is already available in different itunes stores but not in the US?

Dear iTunes Support Team, I have recently started purchasing albums from the iTunes store and I am planning to buy even more in the near future. However, the U.S. iTunes store only offers a few German Artists/Albums. I'm happy that you are expanding the iTunes store with songs from all over the world and I'm happy that you are offering a few yet more and more German songs. I would highly appreciate it, if you could add Artists like Shindy, Bushido, Sido with their albums (NWA, NWA 2.0, FBGM, AMYF, Sonny Black) to your U.S. Store. I don't live in Germany anymore and therefore don't have German credit cards to switch over to the Getman iTunes store. You have some Bushido Albums available in the U.S. store available for purchase but I specifically am interestsed in his other albums. Also, the artists I mentioned above are only available in the German iTunes store and not available in the U.S iTunes store yet. Please kindly respond back to me. I would be more than happy to hear about a possible solution from your side. Thanks a lot!

Thanks for your help! Yes, they are available but in the German iTunes Store only. Some older songs are available even in the US iTunes Store, but not the new songs from those German artists mentioned above.
I cannot provide a German billing/paying info because I live in California. I would like to switch over to the German iTunes store to buy the albums available there, however, I do have a German iTunes Card but you still need to provide a valid card (visa,master card etc) to purchase songs from the German iTunes Store (I wish the German iTunes gift card itself would be enough, this would make everything easy for many people).
Please help me out and do I need to create a new Apple ID associated ONLY with the German iTunes Store?

Movie in iTunes Store but not Apple TV Store

I really wanted to watch Where the Trail Ends on my new Apple TV unfortunately it was not listed however on my iMac iTunes Store it was there. I purchased it and watched it ony my iMac, the Apple TV now creates Genius recommendations on this movie but it still does not have it listed, what can I do? I obviously use the same credentials for both iTunes and Apple TV.
Also, any reason why I can't watch the movies I bought on my iMac on my Apple TV? I am going through the Swiss store.

The info "i" button on albums in itunes store is not showing up?

The quick view button at the bottom right corner of every album in the itunes store is not there anymore. Is this the same for anyone else or is it a glitch in my itunes?

It does work me.
Quit iTunes and try again later.
If it doesn't change tomorow you can re-download iTunes and install it again (this will not delete your media files).

My recent purchases show up in the iTunes store but not in my library and when I try to transfer it, it says "This Computer is already associated with an Apple ID"

I just got a new iPhone 4S to replace my old iPhone 4S. There were some songs I purchased on my iPhone that were not on my iTunes library on the Mac. Now I lost them. The thing is, if I open the iTunes store on my Mac and go to "Purchased", the songs I bought on my old iPhone show up. They are also in my library, but there is an exclamation point next to them and they will not download onto my new iPhone! Help!!!!

I'm having the exact same problem and I am the only person who has ever been logged on to this computer to use iTunes Match. Only my wife also uses this computer, and she has never used or signed up for Match.
Interestingly, I have the same number of days listed on my error, 82 days.
Obviously, Apple has screwed up somewhere. I've put a help request in. If we cannot find a solution, we'll have to let everybody know that Match is a ripoff and that all should avoid this fraud like the plague...

HT201209 itunes store does not match gift code certificate store

I recently received a gift code from a friend in the U.S., but as I live elswhere, when I try to redeem the code, it gives me this message:
Your iTunes store (Country) does not match that of gift certificate (USA).
How do I solve this?

You can't, gift cards and certificates are country-specific, so US cards/certificates can only be redeemed in the US on US-based iTunes accounts.
If it's a gift certificate then your friend could try sending it to a fellow US-account holder, or he/she could contact iTunes support and see if they will refund/credit him/her.
If it's an Tunes gift card then you could either sell/give it to somebody in the US or send it back to your friend.

My purchased items are showing OK in iTunes Store but not on My Movies or My TV shows why

My SONY Laptop (which is my Authorized PC) is showing my Purchases in iTunes, (when I look up my Purchases for either Movies or TV shows)
However when I look up My Movies or My TV shows its empty - No Content
Funnily enough when I look up my account I can see all my hidden shows
Why am I getting a blank with my Purchased Items in My Movies or My TV shows when I can see them in the iTunes Store purchased items.

They are showing in your account's purchase history (via the Store > View Account menu option), but not in your iTunes library (they won't show there unless you've downloaded them on that computer or copied them into that computer's library) and/or in the cloud for redownloading - is that what you mean ?
If you've hidden them then they won't show in the cloud for redownloading, nor will they show in the cloud if you've changed countries since buying them or if the rights-holder has removed them from your country's store.

ITunes store does not match that of the gift card...

I got a gift card from Germany and live in Switzerland. Apple support recommends to give it away to somebody living in Germany or so... Not very helpfull !
In internet there are some blogs how to install an account in a foreign country, but you have to indicate a fake address inside of that country... Not so cute !
Any other possibilities around?...

Sorry, but whether or not you think that suggestion helpful, it's all you can do. As RG said, iTunes cards are country-specific. A German iTunes card can be used only in the German iTunes Store, and you cannot use the German iTunes Store from Switzerland.

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 n above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

Podcast artwork shows up in the iTunes store, but not after downloading

I have several podcasts in iTunes and the artwork for all the shows show up in the iTunes store without an issue. However, if you download a podcast, the artwork does not show up in the library of iTunes or transfer to the iPhone.
All images are 600X600
Any Ideas?
My podcasts are part of the Music Podcast Network. If you search "mpn" in iTunes, they are easily found. MPN: Pop, Country, Hip-Hop, etc.

Thank you. However the answer is more for someone who is downloading podcasts, while I want to make sure there is not an issue when someone downloads one of my podcasts. I use smartfeed in feedburner and have the image included. When I preview the image in feedburner, it looks perfect. However, the image is not being downloaded in iTunes when you download a single episode. I also have the image selected for each episode when I publish on my libsyn accounts. I can find my Podcast in the Itunes store but not in the Podcast list.

If I search for my podcast in the Itunes store it shows up. So, I click subscribe, and everything looks like its working. When I check the Podcast section of my library I don't see it. I'm hoping the issue is just with the itunes on my computer. Any ideas?

It works perfectly well for me: I can't suggest why it isn't for you. When you click the 'Subscribe' link in the Store page you should see a 'Downloads' item appear in the sidebar below 'Purchased' showing the progress of downloading the top episode, and above all that in the top section of the sidebar under 'Podcasts' you should see the podcast.
If you don't: try going to the 'Advanced' menu, choosing 'Subscribe to podcast' and entering the URL of your feed and see what happens.

ITunes 8.0 is able to open iTunes store but not update iPod...

I have an iPod touch and I recently installed new iTunes... Its able to connect to iTunes and download stuff but when I click on update button for my iPod (for updating to 2.1) it displays a message that iTunes cannot connect to internet...

I don't have an account so I can't try to log in but I can still get access to the store with iTunes 7.5.
iTunes 9.2.1 [http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1056] is still available and would run under Tiger. Since it is newer it might work under any changes they may have made.
