Alerts execution hourly

Hi,
A best practice for alerts generation is to execute them hourly.
My question: Is it possible somehow to schedule alerts hourly automatically in RAR? The only freq options are daily, weekly and monthly.
Thanks in advance. Best regards,
  Imanol

No. This will cause lot of performance issue in RAR, hence this functionality was not provided.
However you can send your endhancement request to SAP GRC.

  • IPad 2/iPhone 4s synced from iMac iCal with no alerts, creating alerts 15 hours before each event

My wife set up all her work meetings in iCal on her work calendar. Each event has no alert assigned. Right clicking on the work calendar and choosing Get Info, the drop down window shows an option to Ignore Alerts and it is checked.  In iCal Preferences under the Alerts tab, all 3 alerts are set to none.
On the iPad 2 and the iPhone 4s, under Settings - Mail, Contacts, Calendars - Default Alert Times are set to None while New Invitation Alerts and Shared Calendar Alerts are turned off.
Choose Calendar on the home page to bring up the calendar. then click any of the work events and it shows an alert for 15 hours before the event, and they do go off 15 hours before the events and quite annoying they are. The only way to get rid of the alert, is to go to each individual event, select Edit, select Alert, select None then Done, then Done again and then Save For Future Events since most of the events are repetitive.
Why does syncing the iPad & iPhone add this alert and is there not anyway to not have that happen?  It makes for a very time consuming process to go thru each event on each device to remove this alert.
Some other posts have had a similiar issue with no working fixes. Guess Apple is too busy fixing Maps.   ;-)

  • How to define alert execution sequences ?

    Hello everyone,
I needed to set up an alert which would only be launched if a 'new' entry was added to the OPKL table, by new I mean entries which weren't detected by the previous alert, it seemed hard at first but I found a means to do it, ( if anyone is interested in how I achieved it ,I can post the solution) But a second problem showed up : I couldn't use complex queries in my alert as it resulted in disabling Drill down options ( orange arrows) in the alert results, I decided to split the alert into two separate alerts, but in order for this solution to work, I need the alerts to be executed in a precise order, as in " Alert1 goes first THEN Alert2"
can anybody tell me if it is possible to control the alert launch sequence,  and if yes how ?
    Thanks in advance
    Amin

    Hello Lakshmi,
The solution I found involved creating a user Table (@LASTPKL) in which i would store the Entry of the last Pick list entered, and then I would launch a querry which would select thias particular entry, display it, and eventually update it if there were any others newer. So what you need to do is to create a User Table
and then set the folowing query as your alert query :
    DECLARE @Flag INT
    SET @Flag=0
    IF((SELECT MAX(AbsEntry) FROM OPKL)<>(SELECT MAX(CODE) FROM [@LASTPKL]))
      BEGIN
      SET @Flag =1
SELECT T0.AbsEntry As 'Numéro', T0.[Name] As 'Created by', T0.CreateDate As 'Creation date',  T0.PickDate As 'Picking date',
      CASE T0.Status
      WHEN 'Y' THEN 'Picked'
      WHEN 'R' THEN 'Validated'
      WHEN 'P' THEN 'Partialy picked'
      WHEN 'D' THEN 'partialy delivered'
      ELSE 'Closed'
      END
    "Pick lists waiting "
FROM OPKL T0 WHERE T0.AbsEntry = (SELECT MAX(AbsEntry) FROM OPKL)
    END
    IF @Flag <> 0
    BEGIN
       DELETE FROM [@LASTPKL]
       INSERT INTO [@LASTPKL] (Code,[@LASTPKL].[Name])
       (SELECT T0.AbsEntry,T0.AbsEntry FROM OPKL T0
       WHERE T0.AbsEntry=(SELECT MAX(AbsEntry) FROM OPKL))
    END
One assumption I made was that the picklist codes would always follow an ascending order, and due to the query's structure teh drilldown orange arrows won't be displayed.
    I hope this helps.
    Best Regards

  • Calendar Alerts 1 Hour Late

Suddenly my calendar (Exchange) appointments are 1 hour late, they are correct in my Outlook and were working correctly last week from what i remember.
I've tried disabling the "Set Automatically" on the Date & Time screen, Turned off/on the phone, reset the phone. Only thing i haven't done is reload, I'm hoping it wont come to that.
    Any idea's?

Nevermind, i'm new to iPhone and didn't realize there was an additional timezone setting in the calendar settings...

  • Setting calendar alerts -- What happened to 12 hours?

I always had a 12-hour alert.  Now my alerts are 24-hours out.  That doesn't do me a bit of good and hasn't since ML came out.
I'm no expert, but normally I can figure this sort of stuff out.  How come I can't have a simple 12-hour notification anymore?  Did I miss something?

If you open Calendar's Preferences (under Calendars in the menu bar) then choose "Alerts", 12 hours is not one of the default choices, but you have plenty of other choices as shown here:

  • Ellipsis jetpack mismatch data usage with alerts

Ok, I have the ellipsis jetpack and for the past couple months I've had varying data usage issues...
This month, it mysteriously used more than 2 gb of data minimum without anything to my knowledge, being connected to it.
So I up the data and just dismiss it as the PlayStation 4 bring on and "the crew" coming out, since it may have updated content while I was sleeping for the other 9 gb.
But this morning, I have an email saying I've used 90% of my data allowance (of 20 gb). email time is 1:52 am, yet both the website and the jetpack show the data usage as of 6:18 am today 12/13 to be 15.3 gb (website says like 15.336).
This is frustrating to say the least, and really makes me like Verizon is trapping me into paying more money!
I also have family guard on the device and it's currently set to not allow more than 17 gb. It's been setup that way for probably a week now.
Also, before I upped the data cap from 10gb, I got two alert emails for each alert level, hours apart.
The first 50% was around probably 10 am, the second was late that night, after eight, I believe. Right around that same time, I got a 75% followed by 90, and later, another each of 75 & 90.
Imagine the frustration! Especially now that I'm paying an extra 4.99 a month to protect myself from going over the usage limit!
I was playing a ps4 game last night online (the crew), but didn't download anything outside of that, and watched a video or two on the net, both were short videos. All worked fine, and didn't have the email alert until this morning when I woke up.
Also: this is my first post, done from a tablet, so I'm sorry if it goes to wrong place

    Total Shared Data Used

  • Calendar first and second alerts switch on their own

Hi, I've been having this problem for a while with my iPhone 4, wondering if anyone can help.
I've tried looking if there's already a thread for this issue, but couldn't find one -- maybe I'm just not using the correct keywords.
Every time I set my first and second alerts on my calendar appointment and saved them, they seem okay, but 2 minutes later when I go back to the same appointment, the first and second alerts switch on their own, e.g.: I set first alert to go on 2 hours before and second alert to go on 1 hour before the appointment. Save. When I return 2 minutes later, first alert turned to 1 hour before and second alert 2 hours before.
Which is silly, since who needs their second alert to be farther than their actual appointment? Even iphone knows this and cancels the second alert altogether. By the time I've been alerted, I only have an hour to get ready for my next appointment.
Anyone has encoutered this problem and has successfully solved them? I've tried setting my default time zone under setting to local, and even turning off iCloud, to no success.
Any suggestion is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have found what appears to be a resolution to this issue, when I add an event and I select the event time, the date time scroller opens up allowing me to select the time of the event.
The issue occurs when I leave this selector expanded and continue to set the event properties. When the time selector is still open and you select the alert times, it swaps the alerts every time. When you collapse the event time selectors before choosing the alert times, the alerts are not switched.
This bug appears to be an issue with the scrolling selector form item if there is more than one open it appears to error out.
If you don't know how to collapse the event time selector, once you have selected the time, click on the date/time that is in red text just above it and it will collapse the selector.
Hopefully this fixes the issue for others, and it is ridiculous that this has gone one for so long, not a good way to keep your customers Apple, my wife was so aggravated at this that she was about to cancel her iPhone.

  • How to Make All Events in One Calendar Have Alerts Automatically

I am a college student majoring in engineering, which means I always have lots of homework due at various times. So to help me keep better track of when my assignments are due, I have started putting the due dates into my calendar. The only problem with that is every time I enter in a new event I have to set up an alert for that particular event. This is extremely annoying having to do this for each assignment. What I am wondering is there a way to make it so that every event in my "Homework" Calendar sends me an alert two hours before the event starts? I know you can make it so that all events send you an alert, but I just want this one calendar to automatically send alerts for it's events. Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Thread is closed.
'Twas simple, but problem was my lack of knowledge how winhelp is built.
I needed to Update (synchronizae) document after I linked it and built proper topics and link them with proper document section.

  • Why am I getting double popup alerts for Google Calendar events on iPhone?

This is happening on both mine and my wife's iPhones (mine is a 4 and hers is a 3GS) which are both on the latest iOS (6.0.1).  This is what I've figured out:
On iPhones: Default is to set no alerts/reminder for calendar events
On Google Calendar: Default is to set a popup alert 1 hour before event & email 1 hour before event
When I create a new event on my iPhone: It saves with no alerts set, then after uploading to google calendar it shows as having two alerts 1 hour before the event.  If I go into Google Calendar, it shows that 1 popup and 1 email are each set for 1 hour before the event.
When I create a new event on in Google Calendar: It saves with 1 popup and 1 email are each set for 1 hour before the event per the default settings.  If I go to my iPhone, it shows that I have 2 alerts, both for 1 hour before the event.
So it seems that the iPhone is seeing both the popup and email alerts and creating two popup alerts on my phone!
Is there anyway to fix this?  I've tried setting up the calendar on my iPhone through Gmail account, Exchange account and CalDav account and it's all the same.

I figured it out.  It has to do with which calendars you want displayed.  Duplications come from multiple calender selections.

  • Can't set Calendar Alerts for Google Calendar

I have several Google Calendars for my work and personal schedules. I've used Apple Calendar (formerly iCal) on my Mac, and the Calendar app on my iPhone to interact with my Google Calendars for years with no issues.
After upgrading to Mountain Lion, I can no longer set alerts on any Google Calendar events. When I edit a Google Calendar event using Apple Calendar, I can change any field, including the 'Alert' settings. However, when I click to save my changes, the alert settings are entirely removed.
In Calendar Preferences, I can set a default alert that applies to all my Google Calendars, but I can't change the settings for any individual calendar event. If I attempt to do so, then Apple Calendar removes all alerts from the event.
UPDATE: It seems the problem is that Google Calendar doesn't know what to do with a "Message with sound" alert type. You can use "Message" and it works fine (with no sound obviously).

Strange, I am experiencing the exact problems you describe, however it doesn't matter whether the alert is set as "message" or "message with sound".
By default, events created in a Google calendar have an alert of "mesage, 30 minutes before". If I try to change the time, add a new alert, or remove the default alert, inevitably it get's reset to the default state.
Furthermore, If I change the alert using Google Calendar in a web browser, the event in Calendar (aka iCal) doesn't get updated, it stays at 30 minutes. Sometimes I receive the alert an hour before anyway, despite what Calendar indicates. Very Frustrating.

  • Alerts for recurring calendar appointments do not go off

Does anyone else have this issue?  I have a bunch of recurring calendar events, set up in Outlook 2010, which the iPhone 4 used to show alerts for.  Now (not sure when this started, but w/in last few months) there aren't any alerts even though I can see "1 day before" in the iPhone Calendar app for the recurring event.  I even made a slight change to the recurring event in hopes of getting them back on track but no luck.  Thanks.

I'm having the exact same issue with my iPhone 4 (iOS 4.3.3, 4.3.4 and 4.3.5). I'm a new user (this is my first iPhone, bought one month ago), so I can't comment on earlier iOS versions. In the one month that I have the phone, I'm absolutely sure that I have never had an alert from a recurring event. I only noticed it a couple of weeks ago. I'm only using all-day events (for anniversaries, etc.), so I'm not sure if the same applies to other types of events.
I have made several tests and I can confirm that no alerts are generated for recurring all-day events. Something is seriously messed up in the Calendar App algorithms. At first I thought it had to do with MS Outlook 2007, whose calendar is synced with the iPhone. But when I create a recurring all-day event directly on the iPhone I get exactly the same behaviour (no alert, no pop-up, no sound, nothing). I can see the event on Calendar on the iPhone, and I can also see the alert settings (the time it should be generated, e.g., "Alert: 2 hours before"). So everything looks OK on the iPhone, but the alerts are never generated. I also did a test with a non-recurring all-day event, and everything worked fine (I got the alert pop-up and sound at the time I specified). This means that it's something specific to recurring events. Finally, I restored the iPhone to factory defaults and tried again by creating a recurring event directly on the untouched, factory-reset iPhone. Same thing, no alerts, no pop-ups, no sound, nothing.
This is clearly a serious bug in the Calendar App and I'm very surprised that Apple has not released an update to fix it. Also, I couldn't find much information on the Internet about this issue. That's why I'm replying to this thread, to let you and others know that you are not alone. I asked a friend of mine who is running iOS 5 Beta 2 and he said that everything works fine, so I guess we'll have to wait for iOS 5 to fix the issue.
I hope this helps someone out there. If anyone running iOS 4.3.3 or later is having the same problem, please reply here. Most of all, I hope that the guys at Apple read this and do something about it.

  • Why is the calendar adding extra alerts?

I just got my first Iphone and the calendar is adding extra alerts. I'm using a Google calendar which I have used for years with WebOS, BlackBerry, and Windows Phone. This only started happening when I switched to the Iphone, so I'm certain that it's the Iphone causing it.
If I create an event on the Iphone, it will add the extra alert straight after. I literally just created an event with one alert at the time of the event. Straight after creating it I checked the event details and there is a second alert 1 hour before.
If I create an event on www.google.com/calendar, it will add the extra alert after the Iphone has synchronised the calendar. Before that synchronisation the event alerts are unchanged.
Most of the time it's adding a second alert 1 hour before the event time, although I have one instance where it also added a third alert 50.9 minutes before the event time.

I don't find it hard to use at all.

  • Alerts for events showing two time zones? Alerts happening at odd times.

I just set a new event for later today using the calender app. I set two alerts, one for 30 mins before, and one for 15 minutes before. It is currently TWO hours until the appointment, but my phone just gave me the alert saying "*event name* in 30 minues (6:30, 5:30 ADT)"
Why is my phone suddently telling me when my events are happening in ADT? (That means Atlantic Daylight Time... I think!) And why is it giving me the alert 2 hours before, rather than the set 30 mins?
Message was edited by: Sarah CMac

It just happened again! I wrote down exactly what it said.
    the current time is 5:00
    the message said:
    " Table Viewers

The event is set to happen at 6:30.
What the heck is going on??

  • Calendar alerts on iPad air

Every time I set an event alert, I will set first alert for one hour and second alert for 30 minutes and it immediately reverses the alert to first alert 30 minutes and second alert one hour, which really isn't possible?

I've had my mini for a year now and same issue. I have the iPhone 4s, same issue. I've spoken to Apple over the phone and have them try it out on their devices and they see the same thing happen. Of course, they're like, "really, not ever heard of this before..." They say because they personally don't use alerts. I use the alerts all the time as a person with OCD, it's important. Anyway, they claimed to report it, each and every time. I use in with Outlook, which doesn't offer a 2nd alert. But, it's so frustrating having to go in/out of event in order to get the time to stick. Sometimes, 4 tries before it stays. But if you go back and ever need to change the date, on some other day, same thing. Or maybe you're fortunate enough and no issues. But not so much.
Apparently it's not an important enough of an issue to have a Bug Fix.
