All Adobe Programs Won't Launch

I recently bought a copy of Adobe Master Collection CS6 about 3 months ago and all of a sudden none of my Adobe programs will launch. When I click to open the program it will load for about two seconds then a window will pop up saying amtlib.dll is missing from my computer. I need help and this is urgent! I've tried safe mode and everything but NOTHING works, please help as I am desperate!! I am also running Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit with And Intel i7 3820, 16GB of DDR3 SDRAM, one 1TB HHD and an ATI Radeon 7900 series GPU

Oh and I don't know how to re-install Adobe programs
You simply run the original installer again after running the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool.

  • Adobe CC won't launch, Photoshop freezes immediately after launch, help!

Hello, I would appreciate any suggestions on how to solve this issue. It started with Photoshop CC freezing, as in spinning color wheels of death immediately after launch. I have tried launching with a file, without a file, from Lightroom, independently, nothing works, but spinning wheel until I force quit.
So I tried to update, thinking it wpould help. Adobe CC won't launch at all, no error message, no force quit, just nothing happens. I tried uninstalling both, but unistall just hangs, bouncing in the dock for all eternity until I force quit. The Adobe Application Manager will not launch, and also hangs until a force quit.
The machine is a MacPro OSX 10.7.5 with 3.2 GHz Quad-Core 8GB with no other issues. I have done no updates, no new programs, apps, fonts or plugins in weeks, and the Adobe CC stuff has been working until two days ago. No other issues with the machine I have noticed, and Lightroom and PS CS6 are both working as usual. Restarts have no effect.
I have attempted to start PS CC using command-shift-option thinking the preferences might be causing an issue, but got the same hanging result. Renaming the OOBE file has not worked. Help!

Have you had any luck with this? I've been experiencing the same since Creative Cloud started... happens with all creative cloud apps. I removed the creative cloud desktop app as that was the most troublesome and would often hang everything after waking from sleep. Helped a little but waking from sleep still creates the issue and I have to restart the computer. If I do get an app working and I go to update through the help menu, that app hangs. I've read in other discussions that you need to change the user (which is ******** and very time consuming) but like an idiot I did that and... surprise, suprise, same problem. Never seen adobe come back on this one.

  • Programs won't launch since 10.4.10 upgrade

    Anybody out there?
Since upgrading to 10.4.10, several programs won't launch. MS Word, Disk Utility, Adobe Acrobat, and others. Safari is just plain gone.
I'm no whiz, but I'm not a novice either. My intel-based iMac did not have any system disks when I got it from Apple (don't ask me why).
I would think I could just download a copy of Safari, but all I can find is upgrades and they won't install.
Q: How do I reinstall Safari? How do I get system disks?
    Thanks,
    Flounder

He's already indicated that he solved the problem the same way you did. For both posters, get a bootable, external HD, and make a bootable backup/clone before updating. That allows you to revert to the previous good state without having to reinstall everything. Then, peruse these

  • Adobe Programs won't install....

    Hi,
i have a nasty problem... all of my adobe programs won't install... (the .dmg's)
When i wan't to install after effects for example, mac says:
    "System Requirements Error
This software cannot be installed because the file
system of the OS volume is not supported."
(this is translated from dutch, it maybe isn't exactly the same, as it would say in the english version of leopard..)
i already tried to use the disk help program, but it won't work...
    what should i do???

Ah, okay. I was wondering if it was that, or a downloaded copy from a college server. Lot's of colleges do that these days for student priced versions.
Anyway, the problem seems to be that you have formatted the hard drive as case sensitive. If you did do that, you'll have to erase the drive with Disk Utility and reinstall everything from scratch. I don't think you can change it without erasing the drive.

Please clarify your version of Photoshop.
    There is no CC6.
    There is
    Photoshop CS6
    Photoshop CC
    Photoshop CC 2014
Also, what is your operating system?

  • All sort of other programs won't launch!!

I just installed Safari 3.1 and am having massive problems with other programs not launching. Actually, they launch for a moment and then close immediately.
Can someone please help. This is a stable program???

I have the same problem. I have used my techtool pro to fix files and optimize, but many programs fail to launch still.

  • Programs won't launch

    Hello,
This problem started a few weeks ago. I tried to open iTunes and it wouldn't launch. I did some troubleshooting with that to no avail. Unfortunately since then, my Firefox and Safari won't launch. I downloaded the OS X Combo Update and I couldn't launch that either. I can't launch Cocktail to help with the Cache. I have read many posts and checked my disk permissions (which seem fine), rebooted from the Install disk, checked for corrupt fonts and removed com.apple.plist files.
I've also checked out http://www.thexlab.com/faqs/multipleappsquit.html and can't get anywhere there either. I am just your average user, don't understand alot of the jargon but am trying to work through this since you all have helped me out so many times before.
It may be a framework or software update glitch? I'm just not sure. I have many crash logs from all different programs if that would help anyone.
I am trying not to reinstall my OS X as the disks I have on hand are 10.1 (is that a big deal?) I also read about bad sectors, my disk drive has been making odd noises lately, could that be it? I just don't know how to pin point one problem. Can anyone help????? Please?

I don't need to transfer any files from the iMac and I don't have a firewire cable to use the iBook to startup.
I just need to figure out how to get these programs to launch. It started with iTunes and went to Firefox and Safari. I tried booting up in Safe Mode and using a different user account, neither of these have worked either. It seems I am going in circles since I am told to try Disk Utility but I can't use that without the Tiger Install cd.
Does anyone have any other ideas? I know this is a pain for people, but below are snippets of the error logs for the failed Itunes and Safari launches. It must have something to do with a software update or font or something screwing up the launch? I can't even launch Cocktail or Combo Update to try to help...
Anyone have any ideas? I saw the thread about the StuffItAVR and even got rid of that all together? Anything else? I appreciate it!

  • Program won't launch on Mac for one user but will for another

We just installed a new program (that is Java based) that we are about to start using in our office. It is the WorkFlows client from SirsiDynix. It works fine on my MAC but 2 other users in our office have MACs and it won't launch. We have tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no luck.  We created another user on one of the computers and installed the program and it launches fine. Both users are Administrators. We have uninstalled and reinstalled the program but still no luck. We have ran the Repair Permissions utility on the HD. Is there a tool or software that we can use to compare permissions or settings of the 2 users to find out why the program won't run under one of them?
We have Mac Mini OS X version 10.9.5
Thanks for any help you can give.
    Marcia

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
              View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen. Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then take one of the actions that you're having trouble with. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.

  • Creative Suite programs won't launch anymore

I bought my Creative Suite Standard CS6 and it worked fine for three weeks. Suddenly it won't launch any of the programs. I've tried reinstalling the discs, but it still wont work. Additional information: I'm using Windows 7. I bought the Student/Teacher version and have registered it with Adobe.

  • Adobe Lightroom2 won't launch properly

I've recently installed Adobe Lightroom2 on my G4PB and it's having problems. When I try to open the app I get an error message "An error occurred when attempting to change modules" and this comes up after the (empty) Lightroom window opens - an empty central window, no side panels and though the modules appear on the upper right clicking on any just produces that same error message.
    What I've tried so far:
Repairing permissions and verifying disk (which was ok - no problems found).
Trashing pref files for both Lightroom1 and 2.
Logging in with shift key - no login items
    None of this worked.
Logging in as another user in a clean troubleshooting account - and this works! Normal Lightroom and no error message.
So it seems to be some conflict in my User folder, but I haven't a clue what. Lightroom1 had no problems previously. What has changed since is I've installed the latest Apple Security Update, but that would be system wide so if the app works when logging into another account, it can't be that.
Is anybody else seeing this issue? Any suggestions what to try next?
    thanks,
    ncm

I reinstalled Lightroom2 after trashing everything associated with it including the package receipt. Before installing I rebooted and logged in with shift key - no login items loaded - ran Repair Permissions and Verify Disk and all was well. Still get the same error message. Then quit and tried relaunching with option key and made a new catalog. No difference. Then opened Console and it had a log of the preceedings. See if anything makes any sense to you:

  • Upgrade disaster - Most programs won't launch

Just upgraded to Snow Leopard (unfortunately). Virtually the only program that will launch (besides the Finder) is Safari. The first time that launched, I kept getting multiple WebKitPluginHost quit unexpectedly errors. After a permissions repair, software update (that started after a restart or two) and a few more restarts, those Safari errors are gone.
However, iTunes, Word, Pages, Preview, Text Edit, etc. etc. all bounce a few times and then just stop bouncing or give an unexpectedly quit error. Any suggestions?
I was running an old HP Scanner that required Rosetta to be installed on installation. I've removed that from the login items. I was also running coversutra and removed that from the login items as well. No change. Still have the problem. Otherwise a standard installation.
    Aaaargh. Any suggestions?

Well, at about 3 am last night, I gave up and decided to do an archive and install of 10.5 and then 10.6 (don't get me started about not being able to just do this with 10.6).
This morning, I checked the 10.5 installation and all the applications (can't wait to reinstall all of those...) in the archived "previous systems" section have the "cross-through" logo and say that they can't be run on this "architecture" -- I'm running an Intel aluminum iMac. My wild guess is that somehow, when it asked me to install Rosetta, these programs were reclassified as PPC in some registry somehow? Is that crazy talk?
Have been an Apple fan and promoter for 20 years now. The good will I've built up during that time is about expired today. Apple seems sloppy lately.
Will install 10.6 later. I had to go to work (tired and cranky) so I couldn't finish it up.

  • Can't uninstall photoshop and all adobe programs

    Hi,
my laptop has been recently formated and the office has been changed to 2007 (i don't know if it's important)
i thought that all the programs has been deleted and as i tried to install photoshop i found out that the old CS3 is still there with all my adobe programs but i can't open them and i can't delete them at the add/remove programs as they do not appear there.
so now i'm stuck - i can't uninstall the old photoshop and the rest of adobe programs i have and i can't re-install them.
does anyone has any idea what to do?
i can see their folders but that's it.
if i try to open photoshop for example i get "U can not use this product at this time. You must repair this problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product or contact your IT administrator or adobe customer..."

    Emily,
Your image is still in queue. Next time, use the little "camera" icon.
Next, do a search of this forum for "installation," and limit that search by People. Choose "the_wine_snob." Now, read ALL of the replies in those, and not just mine. There are many great tips by most of the others. I just happened to comment on some of those threads, especially the recent ones, so you should get a lot of great info in each. I'm just limiting by my posts, as I know that the others have made very good recs. in each.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • My X11 programs won't launch

I have two applications that run under X11: Xephem and Open Office.
About the time I upgraded to OS 10.5.4 I noticed that they wouldn't start. Today I looked at the discussion groups here and upgraded to X11 2.3.1. They still won't launch. Before they would just hang up without giving any error messages, but now when I try to start Xephem I get:
sh: line 0: cd: /usr/local/xephem: No such file or directory
sh: ../bin/xephem: No such file or directory
It sounds like X11 just needs to be pointed to the proper directory, but I don't know how to do that. I never did get the hang of working with the command line.
As for OpenOffice, I get this:
    The application soffice.bin quit unexpectedly.
I don't know what to do about that.

Looks like the upgrade might have done something to those application installs. The error you're seeing is from a wrapper script that is used to start Xephem. This script is looking for the actual binaries in a directory located in /usr/local/xephem, which now doesn't seem to exist on your system anymore. Likely it's looking for the "bin" subdirectory in that directory, in which would be the actual application binaries.
In any event, this wrapper script can no longer find these directories. Before trying to do much manual digging to see what happened, I'd just try to reinstall Xephem. That should be a fairly safe thing to try...
