All fields should be in Display mode except Plant field in Va02 and VA32

Respected Guru's,
I want all the fields in VA02 and VA32( Change t-codes) to be in display mode, further user should be able to change the Plant value alone in sales tab.
Is it possible to restrict it with the help of Authorization or does it requires customization.
Please Help me in this regard.

This idea of system of records is guiding principle in designing the data flow through the middleware. This is based on which system owns the master data or the transaction. Based on this principle, you configure the middleware subscriptions and publications. For example if ERP system is considered as the system of records for the Business Partners, then you set the mioddleware in such a way that the BP changes in CRM don't flow back to the ERP system.
In your case you are probably talking about the BP master data. By default it is all or none - what I am trying to explain is that you can not stop or allow a certain portion of the data. For example, you want to change the address but not the organizational data. Such a selective modification capability with in one entity is not generally available - but can be achieved through little middleware programming.
Behavior of the UI to enforce this underlying data flow based on system records or middleware filters is not available. You have to create a view variant based on certain roles.

Price in P.O should be in Display mode while refering contract

Hi Experts,
I created a contract with material X and unit price Rs. 10.
I am creating Purchase order refering the above contract. Now the price adopted from the contract is in changeable mode.
I want the price should in non changeable mode ( display mode).
Have you come across any configurations, BADIs and etc??

I already tried this option, If we change the field selection as display mode, system marks the price as display but still in item tab PB00 is editable.. If we change PB00, it automatically changes the price. so the later one defeats our purpose.
I know we can change PB00 condition type as unchangeable in Config but I think its not advisable to change the condition type. Or we need to create a new condition type for this scenerio which is again is headache..
Is there any other way or exits available? P.O price should in display while refering to a contract.

If SAP_NEW given to any one,then we can't change it to display mode.OB52 is purely depend on type of
System.In PROD system it will come in change mode only.Where as in other Boxes like DEV/QAS,OB52 will be accessible depend on Client state(SCC4).
So I guess it is not possible in PROD box after giving SAP_NEW.

Disabling all fields in VA02 on a particular Order status

We have a requirement to grey out all the fields of the sales order in VA02 if the current order header status is
set to a particular value , lets say '10' (E0010).
I have tried below code in MV45AFZZ (userexit_field_modification) :

You didn't mention that you want that two fields to be open.
What you have done is correct in the form routine but you should not use Loop at screen. Because the Form routine is itself called for each field.
The following code logic change inside the userexit_field_modification will solve your problem.
Write like;

I did a restore on my IPod touch and now all I get on the display is a picture of a USB and the Itunes logo

I couldn't sync my Ipod touch, and kept getting an error message. So, I did a restore. Now my touch is stuck on a screen showing a white usb cable and the ITunes logo, which I assume is telling me to connect my Ipod to the computer. But I did that (obviously) or I wouldn't have been able to do the restore in the first place! I tried starting over and held the power and home button until I got a message on ITunes that the device needed restoring - I went through the steps again and am right back at the same screen. Any ideas??

Make sure you are following the instructions in this procedure to the letter.
Here they are, with emphasis on some easily overlooked requirements:
Disconnect the USB cable from the iPod touch, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release only the Sleep/Wake button.
Continue pressing and holding the Home button while you reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
Note: If you see the "low battery" screen, let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some charge, and then start with step 2 again.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears (iTunes icon and USB connector) release the Home button.
If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the "recovery mode" alert ("iTunes has detected a phone in recovery mode").
Use iTunes to restore the device.
If you do not see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, try these steps again. Be patient since it sometimes takes several of these attempts before you are successful.
If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen but the device does not appear in iTunes, see this article and its related links.
Select the device in iTunes and choose "restore from backup". This assumes you have a backup. If you do not, you will have to download all your purchased iTunes content again. You do not have to pay for anything you already purchased.

Dreamweaver 8 Display Mode renders website differently from IE7 and Firefox2

I'm trying to create a webpage with the following rows setup:
Header
Navigation/Issueinfo (2-column)
Left/Middle/Right (3-column)
OtherLeft/OtherRight (2-column)
Footer
It renders correctly in Dreamweaver 8's display window, but in IE7 and Firefox 2 the Navigation/Issueinfo row renders differently, and I can't figure out what the problem is. I've attached images of D8 and IE7 as well as the HTML and CSS codes. All help is greatly appreciated!

AppStore question for add 3 secret questions not working! After i fill all fields, rescue email and click Done i get message that Service has timed out. I can't buy or install any software. "It's just NOT works!" Why?

Addition of new field in VA02 and VA01 in additional data tab B

Hi,
I have added a new field called delivery date to additional data tab B in both tcodes va01 and va02. Now, while creating or changing a sales order, if the Sales group is I00 then this field should be filled up mandatorily. For va01 and va02 i have done all the required coding where all this is done on pressing the save button when we are in the additional data b tab.It would throw an error message if the date is wrong and a wrning if it is empty (provided sales group is I00). I did the coding in 4462 screen.
My requirement now is that if somebody doesnt go to the 'additional data b' tab n try to save the Sales order then also it should throw a warning or error stating that delivery date field should be filled up. Where exactly should i place the coding now? if it is screen 4900 then can someone suggest me at what place should the coding be done.

Hi Puja,
Seems you have added the fields at item level in sales order and for this you must have appended the additional fields
in vbap table. So to validate these fields you can use USEREXIT_CHECK_VBAP available in MV45AFZB user exit include.
The fields you appended will be available in vbap structure, add your validation here or even in USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE available in MV45AFZZ which is called before saving the sales order.

PO - Service tab gross price field is in display mode

Contract relase order with reference to Service contract, the price for the service codes which is adopted from the service contract, it is picking and displaying it contract release PO. But the gross price is in changeable mode. But i need the gross price field is in display mode. it should be in display mode while creating realse orders for contract.

Hi Raman,
If you follow the steps mentioned in the note 30316 you will be able to find why the price in the contract is in changeable mode...and then we will be able to change the price to display mode.
Note: 30316
1. In Transaction SE37, display function module MEX_FELDAUSWAHL and set
    a break point at the first statement.
2. Start the program where you suspect a problem with field selection.
    The program should stop at the break point set above. Copy the
    import fields I_AUSWAHL0, I_AUSWAHL1, I_AUSWAHL2, I_AUSWAHL3,
    I_AUSWAHL4, I_AUSWAHL5, and I_AUSWAHL6 to the list of field names.
    The corresponding field contents show the field selection reference
    keys that are composed as follows:

     Customizing. For purchase requisitions, the Transaction code is
     OMF2, for purchase orders it is OMF4, for contracts OMFA, for

Ship-to-party field in display mode in TC va02 for some users.

Hi Sap Gurus,
My client requirement is this ,he wants the ship-to-party field in TC Va02 to be in display mode for some lower level user and at the same time she wants the ship-to-party field for higher level users to be editable.
Can anybody tell me how to do this .Va02 TC will be given to lower level users where they will be able to edit other fields except ship-to-party.

I think you can proceed in this way:-
Create TCode zva02 by copying from VA02 .
Then Create Screen Variant and assign that screen variant to transaction variant .
Then Create Variant Group for that Tcode and then assign this variant group to those particular users.
Even you can proceed with out creating the ZVA02 Tcode.
All Will be done in SHD0 TCode.

   it can be done through user exit. find suitable user exit for you Tcode and write code using SCREEN table for making the fields gray(display mode) .
try the exit : EXIT_SAPFV45S_002.
in the aboue exit header data will available in I_VBAK, but you have to check is it suitable for your reauirement or not.

Performance Issues with Debugging even in Display Mode

Hi not certain if this would sit in Security, ABAP or Basis, but lets start here as it is security related.
S_DEVELOP with any activity on DEBUG on a production system is a concern, but what are the performance related issues when a super user has to go into debug in display only on a production system because of a really complex issue?
I've heard in the past of a scenario where system performance was impacted, and we have notes around the allocation of S_DEVELOP display DEBUG access to this point. (I've summarised these below)
The risk with debug is associated with the length of time that the actual debugging process is being performed.
u2022 Work processes are dedicated solely to the users for the duration of the debug. If these are being performed for a long time, these can cause issues with not enough work processes being available.
u2022 It can cause DB2 locks. If the debug session last awhile, DB2 locks are not released. This impacts the availability of tablespaces, thus, affecting various transactions running across the system.
Even with these concerns, security will often get asked for debug display access.
As security is about risk identification, assessment and then controlled access what do other organisations do?
Options (not exhaustive) are "No Debug ever" or "Debug display only via a fire fight or super user on a time limited basis".
We are currently in the "debug display only via fire fight" camp, but would like to canvas opinion on this.
As one of the concepts of security is Availability of data (and to an extent ensuring the systems are up and running) do the performance risks push the security function to the "No Debug Ever" stance.

If you need to debug in production, then 9 times out of 10 you need to do root-cause analysis: The developer is the problem.
Writing sloppy code and not testing properly should not be an excuse for debugging in production.
But of course, there are exceptions even when you do try to keep them to a minimum.
To add to Jurjen's comments, also note that the debugger only has a limited capability of doing a rollback. So you can quite easily and unintentionally create inconsistencies in the system - also in display mode - which is an integrity problem, and typically more critical than availability problems or even potential confidentiality concerns.

Interactive Adobe Forms - Description in list box in Display mode

We are working with Adobe Interactive Forms.
There is a list box for States that is bound to the REGION field in IT0006.
When I choose a value in the combo box for Stateu2026 and click on Check and Send all fields become readOnly and are displayed for reviewu2026 in this step the combo boxes display the actual value instead of the text (eg shows the 2 character code for a state instead of description)u2026 how can I make sure that the form displays the description even in the readonly mode?
In the Binding properties, I have set Item Text as "text" and Item Key as "key". This does not work. Is there any other setting to be made?

have you tried using a drop down box instead? I have several drop downs I use on 1 form - they're all bound directly to the backend and work fine.

HT3924 Target display mode connects but only displays desktop background, no files or command lines

I have connected my early 2014 MacBook to a late 2012 imac and connected them via Thunderbolt cable. Pressing Command F2 causes the screen on teh iMac to change to teh MacBook background screen, but does not display any desktop files or command lines. Any ideas how to fix this?

Make sure both computers are turned on and awake.
Connect a male-to-male Mini DisplayPort or ThunderBolt cable to each computer.
Press Command-F2 on the keyboard of the iMac being used as a display to enable TDM.
Note: In Keyboard System Preferences, if the checkbox is enabled for "Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard functions keys," the key combination changes to Command-Fn-F2.
Can I use a third-party keyboard or older Apple keyboard to enable TDM?
Some older Apple keyboards and keyboards not made by Apple may not allow Command-F2 to toggle display modes. You should use an aluminum wired or wireless Apple keyboard to toggle TDM on and off.
