All of a sudden photos are no longer in a format supported by my iphone!!!
I'm not at home at the moment, we're on holidays in Bangkok and today when I went to open iTunes to sync my phone I got the dreaded, "Your iTunes has expired" - I use my MBP for development.
I went and downloaded the next beta (beta 5) and sync'd away. I added almost 200 new photos, and my free space went from 4.9GB to 5.1GB... ADDING 200 new photos gave me MORE free space!
And there was an error at the end. It told me that "some of your photos including photoxyz" couldn't be syncd because they are in a format not recognised by my iphone. Well, these photos syncd before and were recognised.
I found the photo, a normal enough photo that is syncd to the wifes phone no problem (I wont touch hers for the moment).
I removed all reasons for this photo to sync, resync, and it gives me a new photo id. Same deal, it's on the wifes phone, but wont sync to mine now. I removed all tags to not have this one sync, and on the next sync it gives me another id... Yep, this is on the wifes phone, but will no longer appear on mine.
The phone I am syncing to is NOT a development phone. I've never had this issue before. Is it an iTunes beta5 issue?
Something I have noticed is that the photos are mainly (only in so far that I have checked) photos that are syncing due to being checked in the sync faces area. These are not ones syncd from albums or events, if that makes sense.
1. Any idea what's going on?
2. How can I find out which photos have been removed. Since I addedd 200 photos and I have more free space available, I am guessing that there are AT LEAST 200+ photos now missing from my phone
Apple error messages are ***** at best! A simple log file would solve half my problems, but I'm sure they deliberately don't do that to keep us in the dark. Even paranoid people have real enemies!

My photo stream used to work fine. But after removing all the photos to separate folders in my computer, my new photos are no longer streaming to my PC. They appear in the photo stream on my other devices - iPhone5 and iPad Mini. It's just my PC that's missing the photos.

Suddenly all my albums in Photos are blank. The photos are still in the camera roll but not in the albums. What happened and how do I recover them all? Are they in my icloud? Also the photos are clear as thumprints but when I touch it to zoom are blurry. what gives? They were all completely clear and in the albums when I last used my ipad?? Would doing the "Reset" under General settings do that? When I returned from Europe I reset my ipad to get it in the right time zone etc.
Reboot. Press and hold the home and sleep buttons until the apple logo appears. Ignore the red slider.

All of a sudden I can no longer open tabs by clicking "+" or right clicking on the tool bar. To open a new page, I have to open a whole new Firefox window. How can I fix this?
Also, Firefox crashes frequently. Is there a fix for this also?Uninstall the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and Firefox 3.6 that prevents new tabs from being opened.
There are a couple of places to check for the Ask toolbar:
* Check the Windows Control panel for the Ask Toolbar - http://about.ask.com/apn/toolbar/docs/default/faq/en/ff/index.html#na4
* Also check your list of extensions, you may be able to uninstall it from there - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Uninstalling+add-ons

When I updated my iphone and ipad with the new update IOS 8 my photos are no longer in an album or photo stream. They are in different files with all the dates that they were taken. I hate this feature. Is there any way I can get the photo stream and album back. Why do they make these changes when they just undo all the good things. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance for anyone that can help me. It is impossible to reach apple when your device is an older model.

It sounds like you are seeing your photos grouped together by date, rather than the view you are used to seeing. From what you are describing, it seems like you are seeing either the Moments, or Collections view in the photos app. You can switch to the Camera Roll view in Albums located at the bottom of the Photos window:

My iPhone 6 is full. I have iCloud Photo Library enabled. Any recent photos are no longer being uploaded and are just drawing down my storage. I have "Optimize Phone Storage" enabled.
Open Activity monitor in Utilities, go to the CPU tab>All Processes, and note any process that would appear to be related to importing photos, such as iPhoto, and use Force Quit. This may only be a temporary fix, as it may start all over again when you reboot. If that happens, we need to do some more investigating.
Also, close all open Applications, then open Terminal in Utilities and copy/paste and hit return, then post the output of this command.

All of a sudden I can no longer get Safari. When i try to open it from the icon it just tells me it is not available. All I get is the Google home page. Any ideas please?

I'm not sure what you mean by "no longer get Safari." Look in the Applications folder to see if Safari is there if it is then you have Safari. If you click on Safari it will open (assuming it's not open already) and it will go to the page you set as your home page which you may have set as Google. From there you can navigate where you want.
If you are having other troubles please write a more descriptive post so you are drawing a picture for us. Remember we can't see what you can.

All of a sudden I can no longer toggle or clip angles in multiclip sequence

I've got a project with a number of sequences, videos, angles, etc and all of a sudden I can no longer toggle between angles in the sequence timeline. It was working last night and then stopped and it's still unresponsive. Every time I click to switch an angle or cut to an angle I get the alert beep.
I am not out of disk space and haven't changed any settings as far as I am aware of.

Have you tried opening an autosave version, to see if it works there?
Trashed prefs, run disk utility?
I'm not sure I've ever heard an 'alert beep', so would wonder if the drive is failing.
Can you be a little more explicit about exactly how it 'stopped working'...were you right in the middle of working on it, or had you stepped away for a bit?
Have you tried shutting down, then rebooting after 15-20 minutes? -
All of a sudden I can no longer connect to iTunes store. There is no error message - it just hangs.
After 3 years of happily using iTunes store all of a sudden I can no longer connect. There is no error message, the attempted connection just hangs. Why?
I ran the iTunes diagnostic and got a positive result - I am, apparently, in contact with the Store. But I still cannot connect. I have carried out all ther suggested operations ... and still cannot connect! The diagnostics gave me the following report:

Any other pdf download off internet I can still open and read, except for that particular book. Operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium, Adobe Reader XI 11.0.07. When trying to open file I get msg "You did'nt login or your session has expired. Please log in to read this document for the first time". (Like I said I have read it before). So I log in but that prompts me to give the name of the file I want to export or convert to Word or something else, which is not what I want to do of course. I have not purchased any service from Adobe or Acrobat as I only need to read. Thanks for your help..

All of a sudden I can no longer open a new tab using either the icon on the tab bar, the keyboard short cut or the File menu option. I can open a new tab ONLY by clicking on a bookmark or link
This issue can be caused by the Ask<i></i>.com toolbar (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions)

my pc crashed and i lost all my pictures and music that was stored on the pc. now i have a new pc and when i log into itunes all my music and photos are not available. I guess i dont understand the pupose of itunes and its worth. I thought it backed up all my photos and music, but apparently not. Your content will only be where you put it. It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
You can transfer itunes purchases from your iphone: File>Device>Transfer purchases.
You can import your pics taken with the iphone as you would with any digital camera.
You can e-mail the other pics to yourself, they will never be of the original quality.
You can out a unique contact and calendar entry on the computer. You should get the option to merge the data when you sync. -
i plugged my iphone into my desktop mac to put my itunes music on and now all my contacts and photos are gone can i get them back?
You can get your information back if you have previously done a backup in iTunes or iCloud.

My phone has been restored using iTunes. All of my previous photo are downloaded. I'm unable to delete the photos from the phone - no trash bin. It has utilized all my storage and I'm unable to use any of my apps.

To delete synced photos and videos
In iTunes, select the device icon in the Devices list on the left. Click the Photos tab in the resulting window.
Choose "Sync photos from."
On a Mac, choose iPhoto or Aperture from the pop-up menu.
On a Windows PC, choose Photoshop Album or Photoshop Elements from the pop-up menu.
Choose "Selected albums" and deselect the albums or collections you want to delete.
Click Apply.
To delete Camera Roll photos and videos
There are two methods to delete items from the Camera Roll:
Import the Camera Roll to your computer, choosing to delete items after import.
or
Delete photos and videos from your device manually. Open the Photos application, open the Camera Roll, tap the Action button, tap each photo to select it, and tap the Delete button.
Note: For photos and videos you want to save for later, import them to your computer before deleting them from the Camera Roll.
