All of a sudden when I try to add footage to my sequence only the audio will go in.

This was not happening last week on the same project, I was pretty well into it when this stared.
I've tried everything I can think of, restarting everything, trying footage from other jobs, making a new project, new sequence. The video layers are not locked . . . but every time the audio comes in and I get the circle with the cross through it for the video. I'm on PPro version 7.2.1. for Mac. All I can think to do is re-install.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.

All of a sudden when i try to attach an iphoto to an email or facebook i get a message that say i need i photo 5 or later and my pictures are not available

First I have Mac OSX 10.6.8
I photo 8.1.2
All of a sudden when I attempt to download a photo from Iphoto to an email attachment or to facebook, I get a message that says I need to :
"open Iphoto 5 or later to see photos from your Iphoto library in this list" it shows in light grey.
AS I mentioned above, I have 8.1.2 and my photos are all available when I go to the photo app.
I read to delete iphoto from the library which i did but that didn't help and maybe was a mistake? And if it was how do I fix that?
I have searched the web to no resolve. I also see that I do not have the latest version of iphoto but when I check for updates it says there are none available.
What happened and how can I fix it! HELP!
I'm not very computer savvy so I appreciate simple instructions.

1. Try reinstall iLIfe 09 from your install disk
To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2. Download it from the App Store to reinstall It's on your Purchases List* there.
For older versions that have been installed from Disk you'll need these additional steps:
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 or later they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
*Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?
iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.
If that fails, then you're reinstalling the OS.

All of a sudden when I try to download a pdf from the web, all I get is a black blank screen. I trashed the safari plug-ins and still it is blank

when I try to download a pdf file with safari, all I get is a black screen!

Open a Finder window then from the menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins
Click Go.
If you see the: AdobePDFViewer plugin in the Internet Plug-Ins folder, move it to the trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari then try downloading a PDF file.

When I try to access a picture from i photo the picture will come up and then quickly the screen goes black and there is a white exclamation mark. Also when using faces and scrolling down pictures some disappear very quickly after a brief look.

When using i photo and trying to pull up individual photos - the photo will appear and quickly disappear only to be replaced by a black screen with a white explanation mark. This happens with all of my photos. Has anyone had this problem and if so what can be done to fix it. I did not select this graphic to be added to my i photo pictures - the blace sign with the white explanation mark. Also, when scrolling down photos in faces some of my pictures disappear after a quick view.

The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later...
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

5th generation iPod Nano - iPod syncs with my iTunes and I can see it in iTunes, but when I try to move a song from my iTunes to the iPod I get an error message "Cannot by synced, Unknown error occurred (1039). System works fine with my 4th generation iPod Nano. I'm afraid to "RESET" my iPod because I may not be able to restore my music and videos afterwards.

Right click the printer in System Prefences - Print & Scan and use Reset Printing System... and then reinstall the printer, should take less than 5 minutes. Here is a photo showing how to Reset Printing System....

I built my site with Dreamweaver and it has been working fine for about a year. All of a sudden when I try to update, it updates a template that is wrong. I have checked my files on my whole computer and can't find a dwt file like this one. There is another person who has worked on the site, but she isn't right now, at least until I can solve this problem. Sorry about the short and hurried post last night, I was headed to tai ji class. This is my first post and I am not sure what I am doing yet. LOL. I would like to explain a little better my issue. When I open my dwt file, which inside the template folder, I see the real template. When I try to update the topics, and some other pages, it uses a different (messed up) template. There is no background color, the text is wrong and other issues in the template. I have no clue where this template is coming from. I can't find a file like it on my computer. There is another person who works on the site, but she hasn't touched it in days and I have gone thru my puter looking for this file, with no luck and I have tried to update my files a million times in the last few days and I can't figure out what has happened or how to fix it. Any suggestion will be appreciated and tried. Thank you again.
