All of my task bar buttons are grey

All of my Taks Bar buttons are grey and I only have graphite an blue in the Appearance Prefrences window to choose from.

Correct - what you have described is normal for Lion.
Lion removed a lot of color from auxiliary icons, such as those in the Sidebar and those in toolbars. It's a shame, because clor can be a quick aid in finding the one you want quickly - it's a very good visual identifier.
Re Appearance in the General pane of System Preferences - Blue and Graphite are the only choices offered in Lion.

The back, forward, reload and stop buttons are greyed out, the address bar stays blank when I go to a website and firefox loads to a blank page, not my home page. There are 3 users on this computer and it only happens on one user.

Firefox loads to a blank page, not my home page. When I click on the home button it takes me to the home page. The back, forward, refresh and stop buttons are greyed out and not usable. The webpage I am on does not show up in the address bar. If I type something into the address bar, that address stays there no matter what page I go to next.

Just upgraded to v4. It did NOT fix the problem.

SRM Confirmation - All buttons are greyed out

I have seen posts on similar isue but could not find one which was relevant.
Here is my problem.
I see that after a confirmation is created, when I go back into "Display and Process Confirmations ", all the buttons are greyed out. The header statuses for the confirmation are as given below.
Complete
Confirmed
Created
Approved
Currently Being Transferred
I am not sure why it says "Currently Being Transferred", when its actually posted in the backend.
All clean up and update jobs are running fine. I am on SRM 5.0. I even tried the program to regenerate BBP_DOCUMENT_TAB entries.
Please help incase you have experienced this or know the solution to resolve this problem.

Did you manually run the update reports CLEAN_REQREQ_UP and BBP_GET_STATUS_2 without any document numbers?
So there is no entry in BBP_DOCUMENT_TAB for this document?
You mention that the document has been created successfully in the backend?
Did you check the status of the IDOC in both EBP and the backend?
Nevertheless I have an Info for you - If you debug the program
clean_reqreq_up you may find out that the corresponding IDOCs within the
backend system are never found by the FM
B46A_GOODSMVT_UPDATECHECK - this FM is called within the program
clean_reqreq_up with the parameters:
        object_ident-objkey = IS_DOCUMENT_TAB-OBJKEY.
        object_ident-objtype = 'IDOC'.
        object_ident-logsys = sender_logsys.
where the OBJKEY is the IDOC number within EBP-System.
Because the corresponding IDOC is never found in the backend system
(the return code from backend system is always 1 - object not found)
all confirmations get the status I1019 (Transfer Error) and stay hang
in the table bbp_document_tab in the QSR-system and also alert message
is created for them.
The question is why is it not possible for this FM to found any IDOC in
the backend system even when there are posted there...
this FM is called within the program where the OBJKEY is the IDOC number
within EBP-System.

My camera app won't work, all the buttons are grey when I open the camera

when I open my camera, all the buttons are grey so that I can't take a picture, turn on flash, etc.
I can view my pictures taken but that's it.
have restarted it numerous times, no success.

You might want to close out all apps first and foremost:

Then it might be worth attempting a restart of the iPhone, and then a reset, should that not resolve the issue.

Red, Yellow and Green button are grey. "Show All" button disappears

I'm having two issues that I can not figure out.
First the red, yellow and green buttons are grey not colored. They still work but they do not show the correct color.
The second problem is that the "Show All" button in system preferences is not visible until I float over the are where it should be. The button still works but is not visible.
I can not figure out what happened or if the two situations are related.
Any thoughts?

Not sure on your other issue yet, but here's a suggestion for those buttons.
Open System Preferences and click the Appearance option. Is it set to Graphite? Switch to Blue.
I'll see if I can find a solution for your other problem as well!
Edit: Can't hurt to try removing the preferences file and see if that fixes things.
Click *Macintosh HD*, then Users> Library> Preferences. Delete--or move to the desktop--the com.apple.systempreferences.plist file. Restart your computer. Any changes?
Try another user account as well to see if the button reappears.

ITunes will not install any (downloaded) apps: the install buttons are grey.

I have installed iTunes 12.0.1.26 on my (up-to-date) Windows 7 64 bit machine. I have successfully downloaded several apps from the app store. Now I would really like to install those apps on my iPhone 4s iOS 8.1.2, but iTunes wil not allow me to do so (nor on my iPod). It recognizes my iPhone, it shows me my apps, but the 'install' buttons are grey (i.e. they are not clickable). I have authorized my computer and installed iTunes as an administrator.
I searched this site and found a solution to a similar problem, but unfortunately that solution will not work here. The solution was to double click on one of the apps in 'my apps' and then authorize my computer, but when I double click on an app nothing happens at all. Well, it gets selected (blue), but that is all. So iTunes just isn't working properly, but I don't know how to correct it.
I really hope to get some help with this problem. Thanks in advance!

Ah, not sure what I was thinking at time.
You may want to try some of the troubleshooting steps in iTunes repeatedly prompts to authorize computer to play iTunes Store purchases. It may help to deauthorize and then reauthorize the computer. I suspect the double-click the app advice doesn't work with iTunes 12. Nothing interesting happened when I tried. If you have any protected media it might be worth confirming that it will play.
Is this a new library with respect to the device? If so see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

Bookmark Bar buttons are messed up.

I use Safari 5 on my Mac and on Windows. For some reason my bookmark bar buttons are all squished on my Windows S5 so that the names on the buttons do not show properly.
Is there a way to fix this? Is there something like an INI that I can delete that would reset the button sizes on the bookmark bar? I hope this does not happen on my Mac as well.
The machine where I am seeing this unfortunate behavior is a Windows XP SP 3 based system with all other updates applied to it as needed. So I don't think I am missing at patch or something along those lines.
I have also tried removing my bookmarks.plist file and the com.apple.safari.plist file both of which where in my profile folder and this did not help either.
If anyone else has seen this behavior and knows how to resolve it. Please let me know. Otherwise, I really like the new Safari, just need this one issue resolved.

PC or Mac?
Back and forward buttons on a window listng the files in it, will only work if you open a file within the folder.
If you simply open your folder, there nothing to go "back" to.

Upon starting up my mini mac for the first time I see the welcome screen but the 'go back' and'continue' buttons are greyed out so I cant continue.

As the title states everytime I boot up my mini mac the 'go back' and 'continue' buttons are greyed out and I cannot continue with the installation. I even went out and bought an external cd drive to try and load the operating system and that did not work either.

When using mail icon i get a blank screen with No message selected on the RH side. Top left is the word thread in black . all other buttons are greyed out except the send new mail one. Cna anyone help?

Email does not appear when using the mail icon on the home screen. I get No message selected showing on the rh side of my screen with the left hand third of the screen blank. Buttons on the top line are greyed out except the new mail one. The word thread appears in black on the top left hand side of the screen The only way out is to close the screen. all other apps work okay.

The Function Buttons are Greyed Out in Numbers

I am new to Numbers having used Excel for years. I am trying to add up a column of figures but when I highlight the column and click the 'Function' button at the top of the page, all the functions are greyed out so not usable. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?
I am using Numbers 3.1, downloaded on Saturday.

select multiple columns, then drag the quick sum tag or use the formula:
=sum(<RANGE1>, <RANGE2>, <RANGE3>, ...)
where <RANGE1> thru <RANGEn> are any valid ranges
e.g.
=sum(A:C) will sum columns which would be the same thing as:
=sum(A, B, C)
you can also sum rows 1, 4, and 7 like this:
=sum(1:1, 4:4, 7:7)

Scroll bar buttons are missing

scroll bar buttons, arrows at the top and bottom of the scroll bar in the Thunderbird inbox, are missing in a linux distrobution. They are present in windows XP. The version is 24.6.0. How can I get them back?

Just installed Acrobat XI and many of the tool buttons are greyed out.

This is Acrobat Standard. Why would the edit buttons be greyed out?

It could be that the document you're working with doesn't allow editing, which could be due to security restrictions that are in place, because it's a form created wit LiveCycle Designer, it's locked due to a digital signature, etc. See what it shows when you select: File > Properties > Security

Task bar button width

Hi there,
Does anyone know how (if possible) to increase the width of the tasks that appear in the Windows taskbar?
As LabVIEW prepends the library name to all VIs I often have quite a few similar looking tasks in the taskbar (Windows truncates the text)
This leads me to trying to keep the library name as short as possible, not really what I want to be doing.
I have a nice wide monitor, and I make the task bar double height, it would be nice to be able to stretch (or set) a minimum width for tasks. Then I could see the whole VI name (or at least more of it), unlike the situation I am dealing with now, as shown in the screeny
Also, I really wish they would change the icon to differentiate between block diagram and front panel! (I know I should have actually filled out a product suggestion years ago...)

I'll bet there is a legacy dll somewhere that can be fiddled with, but as an easier alternative which may be useful is an XP 'power toy' It replaces the alt-tab select with a screenshot and full name of the window instance, and you can move your mouse over each item - which is quicker than alt-tabbing through them all :-)
