All of my texts are now being sent through my email after the new update. How do I change this back to just sending with my phone number?

Try settings -- messages -- send & recieve and see if your email and phone number are in there and if there is only a check mark next to your email address. If so just check off your phone number and try that.

When I downloaded the most recent software update the location services Icon showed up even thought I was not running any programs. Is this something new and is it going to drain my battery? This was not happening before the download. I am told I have to just turn off the location services biut I do use them on a daily basis and it seems to be a pain to have to shut if off everytime. Does anyone know how to fix this or am I just screwed until I upgrade the phone?

I have the iPhone 4 and now the ipad2. They are linked thru iCloud but now when I send a message from my phone it shows as coming from my email. Can I change this so it shows up with my phone number again?

You cannot update iPhone 4 to IOS 8.1.2, the highest you can update is IOS 7.1.2.
Unless you've iPhone 4S (looks similar to iPhone 4)

You can sync Hotmail via Microsoft Exchange. It will mirror your email account on your phone so that the account will look just like the one on your computer. Here are the instructions:

Since you had already purchased iPhoto, you should be able to redownload it. To download previous purchases on a computer, your computer must be authorized for the Apple ID that was used for the original purchase. For more information on the steps to reinstall purchased apps, check here:

Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Displays.
System Preferences can also be found in the Hard drive -> Applications folder.
Resetting the PRAM can help bring displays back to factory settings if you can't find what you need:

Launch lightroom.
Click on help.
Click on Check for update.

Do you place the ipod in the dock during the night? I did this once and the other day the battery was almost empty because it kept on playing after it rested in the dock.

Have you tried starting Firefox in Safe Mode? Hold down "shift" while Firefox is starting up. If the crash doesn't happen in Safe Mode, you should read [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]].

I then receive a error message stating the message can't be sent and it shows a set of "1s" were added in front of the number I entered. Ex: 1 (1) xxx-xxx-xxxx. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can fix it?

I realize this. When calling prepaid cus service it only gives you the option to input your #. If you dont the system hangs up on you. When I input my number the system doesnt recognize it and hangs up on me.
