Users should be able to view the content in the language they want, regardless of where they are. I have seen threads from users in 2012 with this exact issue and I am simply unable to even slightly understand why a simple country dropdown menu has still not been added. In your knowledge base, you suggest users to change the language of their payment gateway, but this is not a realistic option, since the country of choice must match with the country of your payment gateway (PayPal is the common and obvious example here). We should not be forced to seeing content in a language that we might not even understand!

How do I change the language of the calendar I want to create?

I saw a few threads on this issue, but none that actually answered my question. To make a long story short, I want to create a Calendar for a French speaking friend. I switched my system language to French, so Lion and iPhoto '11 are running in French. But when I try to create a calendar, the months are all in English. I tried this on my MacBook running Lion and on my iMac running Snow Leopard, with identical results: the interface of the OS and iPhoto '11 is in French but the months are in English. Any idea what I'm missing? Thanks in advance.

You're right. I had done only part of the setting changes that were required. On tob of changing the language of the OS, I also had to chose "Language & Text" and then select the correct Region in the next window. I hope this will also help others. Thanks!

How do I change the Language of the toolbar to English which seems to be in Greek or Italian?

The tool bar or Firefox, as I am using it, has suddenly turned into either a transcription for Greek or Italian. I am a speaker of English and do not understand either language. If the Firefox user interface (menu bar) is in the wrong language or if you want to change the current language then you can find the full version of the current Firefox 33.0 release in all languages and for all Operating Systems here:

Change the language of the links

I have, reading instructions on the forum, mananged to change the font, size and colors on the links: "Back to album", "Play slideshow" etc. But I really want to change what it says - change the language of the links. Is this possible?

What wyodor is saying is correct but remember that if you open that site in iweb again and you are on another language it will revert.
I have a site that needs to be all in french, I use a second user account on my mac and I keep one account with the settings in one language and the other in french. It keeps me from having to change the user's setting all the time and also from opening the site accidentally in the wrong language. Just a suggestion in case this could work for you as well.

If you're having trouble making changes to files that are inside your home folder (represented by a house icon in the sidebar of a Finder window), or if you can't get changes to the settings of an application to stick, then please see below.
Back up all data.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, they may not work as described.
Step 1
If you have more than one user, and the one in question is not an administrator, then go to Step 2.
Triple-click anywhere in the following line on this page to select it:

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.

☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting.
You'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command may take a few minutes to run, or perhaps longer if you have literally millions of files in your home folder. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) to appear, then quit Terminal.
Step 2 (optional)
Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1, if you prefer not to take it, or if it doesn't solve the problem.
Boot into Recovery. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open.
In the Terminal window, type this:
res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password dialog will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
In the dialog, select the startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if it's not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if it's not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.

So, I'm new to all the buying-on-iTunes experience and have a doubt regarding the language of the film I'd be about to buy. The thing is I live in Germany and was about to buy a film on iTunes —for the first time as currently stated— but I wouldn't like to have the film dubbed in german —which is how they normally have them here—, instead, I'd like to have it in its original language; english. ¿How could I do this? ¿Is it even possible to change the language even though I'm on the german store/live in Germany? Just bought an Apple TV from the France Apple store. I've got a few films that I've purchased from the iTunes store too. The ones I've purchased there are both in English and French. Not all films are done in two languages but it seems that if the original version is in English, then it will have both.
As for switching between two languages, I just ran into that problem. I sent the video from my laptop to the Apple TV. On my computer it would play in English but played on the TV, it would play only in French.
Solution, you don't have a simple menu icon to click on, or button on the Apple TV remote. You'll have to go into settings --> audio and video -- > Audio Language (or subtitle language if you are looking for that).
If it is set to "Default" it chooses the language you hear. I heard French probably because I bought the film in the French iTunes store. When I chose "English" as the Audio Language, the film switched to English.
I hope this helps you and others who run into the same question.

It is an Apple isuue same as when you want to buy or download from the iTunes store.
I bought and registered (also credit card from Australia) mi iPhone 4s
Now when I came to Switzerland I should have NOT used my Australian details but registered everything here in Switzerland with Swiss credit card and probably a swiss email account.
My problem is opposite to yours, I can only download movies in English!!!!
What Apple could have done at least is give an option on undertittles so at least some movies are understud. It is no problem for myself but when I have friends over that do not understand the language we have problems.
I have had talks in Apple stores in Zuerich also in smaller Apple outlets, they all know about it as it is a common not problem but nuicance with Apples.
I hope I could shed some light to your problems but I think we can only hope that Apple will change theyr attidude to this **** situation.

I am relatively new to iBooks author. I've been creating a quiz with multiple answers. When I review my iBook on my iPad and only select one answer, it shows me a popup with the text "select more answers". Does anyone know how to change the language of that box? I'm working in German, iBooks author is set to German... I just can't figure out how I can change the language of that box.

Yes, what you see in the popup when viewing the book in the iBooks app is supposed to take on the language of the OS. I don't know why it would not work on your iPad....

You can reset the language.
1. From the Home screen, tap Settings.
2. Tap the third menu item from the top (General).

You can also reset all settings (your synced content isn’t deleted or modified). Tap Settings, then tap the last item in the menu (Reset Settings), and then tap the red button (Reset).

On a SAP Portal 7.0 SP 17 I've a problem with the language of the Logon Page: is always in English.
If I go to internet explorer -> tools -> internet options -> languages I've set Franch as language.
When I open the Logon Page (http://xxxx:50100/irj/portal) all the text are in Englisg: Welcome, User ID, Password, Log On. While the iViews and Pages are in Franch.
Does anyone tell me how can set my Logon Page in French without edit PAR file?

For Quiz Slides you've already added to your project file you will need to change the labels manually. If you change your Quiz Settings and Master Slides that control the defaults and then add new Quiz Slides, THEN those slides will carry your new settings.
