ALL Required Patches for EBS 11i AIX

Hi Everyone,
We have an on-going (UAT) user acceptance test for a new setup EBS 11i on Aix 5L, for FINANCIAL MODULES(GL,AP,AR,CE,FA).
Currently, we still encountered error or bugs and need to apply some patch one by one.
What I want is a proactive way, which is a one time application of all the patches needed to run EBS 11i error free.
Where can I find the recommended list of all patches that should be applied on EBS 11i, and
How do I reconcile it with the output of the following....

Customer Data Hub Required for EBS 11i?

Is the Customer Data Hub required for EBS 11i to work correctly? It appears to be a supplemental product and not a required core product.

Oracle Customer Data Hub (CDH) is not a mandate for EBS users. However, it solely depends on the Organizational needs. If an Organization decides to have SSOT (Single Source Of Truth) for it's customer data they can go with CDH solution.
CDH is a complete packaged solution that allows companies to create a single, enterprise view of their customer base, by consolidating/synchronizing customer data from heterogeneous systems into a central, operational, data store. CDH alone will not suffice the requirement. CDH ties with Oracle Customers Online (OCO), Customer Data Librarian (CDL), and the Oracle Trading Community Architecture (TCA) to create a robust, scalable, central repository of duplicate-free, enriched data across a heterogeneous landscape.

Cloning EBS 11i AIX 5L

Hi Friends,
I am cloning EBS 11i AIX 5L on the same server.
Currently we have EBS 11i PROD on the server, @user oracle.
I want to clone it to EBS 11i TEST on the same server, @user oracle2.
Things I did:
1. run autoconfig
2. run preclone programs
3. copy appl and db file to new location for user oracle2.
4. run cloning at user oracle2.
But I got the following error:

How can I do the load test for EBS 11i

Dear Suport
I start to try OATS.
I have used a Openscript to record the functional test and it works fine for EBS 11i.
However, I cannot directly use the script from Functional Test. Is there have any ways to convert the Functional Testing script to Load Testing script?
Since the fail of using functional script, I create a new Load Testing script in Openscript and record what I do in functional test. However, I got the below error when I record the script.

I have tried to copy the file, formsRecorder.jar, from C:\OracleATS\OpenScript\openscript_configuration\org.eclipse.osgi\bundles\56\1\.cp\lib to C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\lib\ext
However, the file, formsRecorder.jar, will be deleted when record the test by openscript. (Antivirus too is disabled during record the script).
Do you have any idea for record the Load Testing script by Openscript?

I am in the process upgrading EBS 11i to 12.1.1 and currently at step 3:12 of page 3-6 (Apply latest product patches (required)) of doc Part No. E16342-03.
How do I determine the latest product-specific patches - EBS in particular?

RHEL 6 for EBS 11i (11.5.10.2)

Hi hussein,
I posted a thread in here before about our company buying or upgrading to a newer server which is of higher-end and with bigger CPUs and Memories.
We are currently running EBS 11i (11.5.10.2) on the current server which is about 6 years old. This is single node only and running RHEL 4.6.
Now, due to performance degradation, we are buying newer machines which will be a two-node configuration. The machine vendor said that the O.S. that it runs on will be RHEL 6.
My question is....Is RHEL 6 supported in EBS 11i? Can I clone the existing PROD EBS 11i which is on RHEL 4.6 to
the new target servers running on RHEL 6?

Oracle BI Apps Financial Analytics 7.9.6 Patches for EBS & SSO

Happy New Year.
Thanks for taking the time to review this post. I am about to commence an Oracle BI Apps Financial Analytics 7.9.6 install using Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10.2 as a source for the BAW utilising Single Sign-On (SSO). Is there a list of any paticular EBS Interoperability patches, minimum EBS Family Packs for the EBS modules within Financial Analytics (GL, AR, AP) and SSO patches I need to be aware of?

I don't know of patches off the top of my head, you're best off spending a couple of hours trawling My Oracle Support, that'll throw the candidates up.

I want to compile an EBS 11i forms. The EBS version is Oracle Applications : 11.5.10.2.
My question is where can I find the installer for Oracle form builder to compile my .pll file?

If you want to download and install Developer 6i to your Windows client, then here is the direct link --> http://download.oracle.com/otn/nt/forms/6i_rel2_xp.zip
You will need to recompile the form again on your server if the OS is Linux/Unix by referring to the docs referenced above by AsifMuhammad

Sizing calculator for EBS 11i

Hi,
I want to have an official calculator regarding the hardware sizing for Oracle EBS 11i.
I found on OTN that such tool exist only for discoverer (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/discoverer/files/discoverer10_1_2_0_2_sizing_calculator.xls).
Please help me where to find a similar tool for EBS itself, not only for Discoverer.

EBS 11i Aix install error

Hi Hussein,
I am installing again EBS 11i (11.5.10.2) on Aix, and I got this pitpall again everytime I have this installed.
I onften stuck up at the RW-50004 "Can not create control file error" ORA-1031: Insufficient privileges.
I tried to remove all the tmp file at /var/tmp and chmod 777 and also rm -R .oracle, but the error persist.
I also tried as "oracle" owner > sqlplus / as sysdba ....and I got ORA-1031 too. :(
But I just copied the settings of my oracle owner to the existing one.
The existing is "oraprod" using and I create anothe "oramgr" from my new instance.
Its weird bacuase oraprod can sqlplus / as sysdba ....while oramgr can not.

By the way, as I can remember, there is not so much in the log files. Its just the usual thing similar error like
RW-50004 external thing error, then when you see the log file, it stops on the creating of database / of course
the first is the control file to hit the error. Then I found out that "oramgr" can not sqlplus / sysdba.
So what I did is to add "dba" group and let the "oramgr" member of it. then I restarted the failed installation.
Then it was able to continue, but I didnt see it completed becuase i left it running. But before that.
I tried to login the "oracle" user owner of the existing PROD instance. True enough my suspicions is correct.
Its the one now the cannot connect sqlplus / as sysdba or ora-1031 error.
So my workaround will be (maybe I hope it worked) and not corrupts the existing PROD setup.
If i use "oracle" and have to drop the "dba" group again. and if I use "oramgr" or PROD2 instance, I will add again
the "dba" group .....whewwww what a setup :)

NLS patch for EBS 12.0.6

I have a EBS 12.0.6 fresh install. Now I wanted to install japanese language and i am looking for the NLS patch number. I am able to find the 6394500 for 12.0.4. Should I use the same for 12.0.6 also. Please help.

Can you help where can I find NLS patch for Japanese Language for R12.0.4 Check Oracle e-Delivery website and/or MOS. If you could not locate the files then log a SR.

Upgrade Linux Server for EBS 11i

EBS 11i
RHEL 4.6
Our EBS 11i is currently running on HP server with RHEL 4.6 OS and a single node only. This server was bought 6 years ago and lately it is showing performance degradation. We want to migrate/upgrade to a higher end latest model of HP and make it a multi-node. But the latest HP model only support a minimum RHEL 5 version.
My question is, is cloning EBS 11i from RHEL 4.6 to RHEL 5 supported? How do I migrate EBS 11i with this kind of scenario?
