All Thumbnail images are the same image

All of sudden all of my iphoto thumbnails are the exact same image.
This is just occurred after I got a message to rebuild the library.
When I actually open up the photo in iphoto the correct image is there.
How can I get iphoto to show the thumbnail as the actual image?

Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the option to rebuild the thumbnails. This can take three or four goes to work.

I just downloaded the Mac app Numbers for the first time today and opened an microsoft excel sheet from my old PC. In every cell where I have a SUMIF function is has an error icon in it. When I click the icon is says, "SUMIF requires that all range arguements are the same size." I tried retyping the function and it did not change. What else can I do to fix this issue? Is SUMIF supported on the Numbers app? Thanks.

Sumif does work in Numbers, all versions. There is just some problem with the import translation of the spreadsheet.
If you will post a screen shot of the layout of your document and Paste the actual expression here in your post so we can examine it, we may be able to help.

HT4528 I loaded the iphone update and now my gmail does not sync. I get a message that imap cannot connect. All my setting are the same and correct. Thoughts.

Same thing happened to me. Called Verizon, they had me run updates and resync to the local tower (*228, option2). Took about 15 minutes over the phone to correct.

Cannot Upload all edited Images of the same Image from Organisor

Can anyone tell me how I can upload edited verions of the same image using the Share Option to create an Online Album in Adobe Showcase? Only the most recent image will upload. If you have any ideas to adress this problem, I would appreciate your cooperation in forwarding them to me. Regards

Right click on the edited files > Version Set > Convert Version Set to Individual Items and now try to upload. See if that helps ?

How can I view a series of images in the same image frame?

I'm an intermediate level user and recently saw a feature on a web site that I'd like to incorporate in my own designs. I'm looking for an instructional link to explain this process. On a published web site there is an image. To the right side and left side of this main image are two small images: a "forward triangle" and a "reverse triangle". When you click on the forward triangle the main image changes to image #2, then again to image #3. Clicking on the left-sided "reverse triangle" takes the user back to image #2, then image #1. All main images are located inside the same frame, it's just that you can click back and forth through a series of half a dozen images. It seems easy, but I just can't find the right instructions. Can anyone suggest a link or two? Thanks!

Aperture is asking if all new photographs are the same person

Whenever I go to Faces and I'm presented with the Unknown Faces panel it asks if all the faces are the same person, every one.
I have tons of photos identified with many different people, but when it comes to unidentified pictures it only suggests one person.
I'm running Verson 3.2.3
I'm hoping someone knows the solution because it's very annoying

I am having this problem as well. I have created an Aperture 3 Library that contains photos from three sources:
12000 photos imported from an iPhoto '09 library that had about 275 faces identified; files are now referenced files
6000 photos imported from an Aperture 2 library; most files stored as referenced files
800 photos imported directly into the Aperture 3 library for the first time
Aperture 3 successfully imported all the faces that I had identified in iPhoto, but now it refuses to recognize any more faces. It makes no suggestions at all. When I go into Faces mode and select a person, all the suggestions are random faces that are nothing alike, but the suggestions NEVER include the person whose face it actually is. If I go into a second face, then it will make lots of random suggestions that DO include face 1, but again NONE of the suggestions are the selected face. It seems like the suggestion engine is actively EXCLUDING the face in question.
Problem continues after upgrading to Aperture 3.01.
Anyone else seeing this problem?

Aperture3 thinks ALL my faces are the same person

Anyone else having this problem? If I go into faces library and select a person to confirm their faces it is just a wild mess of faces and objects and backgrounds. And it is the same options for everyone. It doesn't seem to be "learning" at all.
Then to make things worse if I go into a project and choose the faces view to start adding names it asks if every face is the same person.
I imported my library from iPhoto and it was doing a WAY better job with faces.
It seems like the faces engine/data needs to be reset. If I could reset it without loosing all the faces I've names/tagged already that would be perfect. Just clear all that it has "learned" so far and start over, but do not erase all the faces I currently have tagged.
Come on Apple, please fix this presumably "PRO" app.

In a gradient mesh, I can't tell Illustrator to select all points that are the same color?

All I can find online is to highlight over an area to select multiple mesh points. That will not work in my case. I can't tell illustrator to select same color, the way it does with fills and strokes? I want to change the color and I have to click on every single point again? Ridiculous.

You can assin colors an dhe recolor art filter will only read the color at the anchor points which I think is desirable
Look at the very warm red color color and how I change it by assingin a new color in this case a blue. Read about the Recolr Art Dialog in the help files it is bit tricky at first but does lot of good things.
After you get the colors you want you can turn them into a color grpups as well and you will have the swatches in your swatch panel.
Then if you have similar colors that you wish to cahnge the same color you can use the edit color wheel and move the color selectors over one another.
Here I turend the warm red to a yellowish color as wellas the more orange color to match the new color .

I was having the same problem. The trick is to flatten the forms before combining. It is in the tools - print production menu. If print production isn't there click on where I am indicating with the top blue arrow.

Transition between two different sizes of the same image

Im currently working on a project where I have a 92x92 pixel image that needs to tween into a 711x300 pixel image. The images are the same but cropped to these sizes via photoshop, imported into flash, then converted to graphic symbols. I want to have the 92x92 image tween into the 711x300 image.
I say tween, but the two tweens aren't working correctly, so I was wondering if anyone else had any ideas. I can't seem to find a "crop" like function in flash that will let me adjust the large image for when its supposed to be small, then have it tween between the two sizes as i need them to.
I cant seem to figure it out and I need some help. Any suggestions?

Right, thats what I have discovered through my troubleshooting. The thing is, the aspect ratios are different for what I need and I cant seem to find how to readjust the aspect ratio to fit the design sceme that's been chosen. I initially did just resize the larger one, but since the ratio stayed panoramic, my designs weren't quite working out.
I need to change the aspect ratio of the larger image withough disrupting how the image looks (squish/stretch). When I would chose my symbol and hit cmd+B till I'd get the speckled selection around the symbol, then apply a shape tween between the two symbols. The smaller symbol would expand to the size i needed as the tween progressed, but would tile the image within the enlarging cell. Then the tween would end, and my larger picture would appear. This isn't gonna work, either.
Still, need some advise.

All ringtones are the same, can't change back?? HELP!

I just noticed that all my ringtones are the same for everyone that calls in. I have downloaded a few music ringtones & also use some of the ones off iPhone itself but I never use "Marimba" & that's what all my calls are coming in as. What the heck??

restart the phone and check if your selections are selected.
If still not right, reset by pressing home button and off button at the same time for about 10 sec
Then check again.
If no help, restore!

Fonts that are the same look different why?

These 2 images (the copy text within the image) are the same in every way, yet when saved as .jpg look different. Why does this happen?
I have tried saving at 100% instead of the 60%, and this helps make them a bit clearer, but still not as crisp as the image beside it. Please help. Thanks

It's rather fine text, and when you save it as an image, it's alignment to the "pixel grid" may differ (from the same type/size text in similar images) by a fraction of a pixel.
Fonts have a built-in parameter called "hinting" which helps ensure that varying proximity to the pixel grid doesn't distort the glyphs of live type while they're displayed on-screen. It's a scientifically grizzly little property that dictates which portions of a glyph are always black, versus the portions that are subject to "anti-aliasing." When you rasterize the text as you have, it loses its hinting and becomes subject to "accident" in terms of pixel grid alignment, anti-aliasing, and subsequent perceptual rendering on-screen.
Considering the above, rasterizing text is somewhat of a crap-shoot and should be avoided. Your layouts could be composed with live text; and should be. Methods might differ depending on whether the end-product is an "email blast" or something that's always and only ever rendered in a browser.
