All videos I put onto iTunes have the same default year.

Every time I add a video (not bought from the iTunes Store) to my iTunes Library from my computer it sets the year of the video to 2005. I'd rather have no year at all than an innacurate one, so I'd like to know how to stop this. (The next bit is more detail that needn't be read if you already know the remedy to this problem.)
I have an idea how it might have started - a while ago I did this: Right Click > Apply Sort Field then I thought I chose Same Year but that option isn't there anymore. I was curious about what sort field did (and still am). However, this was done before I completely rebooted my computer and had to reinstall iTunes, so I'm not sure how it would have carried over (unless the videos from my old iPod  that I put on my new one transferred that).

If you don't want photo stream to sync your photos between devices go settings > iCloud and uncheck photos, do this on each device.

  • Should all memory slots on my imac have the same amount of memory

should all memory slots on my imac have the same amount of memory

For your model, that would mean to match them horizontally; in newer iMacs with vertical RAM installation, they should be matched: slot 1 + 3, and slots 2 + 4 (which, oddly enough, will result in the same picture if your check the RAM in system info).

  • I'm buying a MBP from a non apple store, do I still have the same "one year limited warranty"? And is it international or not?

I live in Turkey and my father is bying me a Macbook pro from Dubai's airport, and I was wondering if I would still have the same "one year limited warranty" as if I bought it from an apple store in Turkey, and is the one year limited warranty international or not?
So can I return, replace or repaire the laptop in Turkey

If the seller is an Authorized Apple Service Provider, then yes.  Otherwise I do not know.
I do not see Dubai listed:
    https://locate.apple.com/country
The Apple warranty is world wide.
    Ciao.

  • All of my videos i bought on itunes have the sound not synched

I just spent the last couple days buying some videos like game of thrones and psych on my windows 8 pc and after downloading the videos I go to play them and after about 2 minutes of watching the video the sound would be completely offsynch with it. So i thought that it downloaded wrong so I deleted the file removed it from my computer and downloaded 1 video to see if the sould would work on it and now its way worse. what do i do.

    Hi Appleneedsbettersupport,
If you are having audio sync issues with video playback in iTunes, you may find the following article helpful (it is aimed at Vista/Windows 7, but should still apply under Windows 8):

  • Video And Audio does not have the same length

    Hello
i have a problem. For DVD i am working on, i create my Movies for menus in Flash. I sync Video animation and audio in Flash, and export all in QT. Then i take my QT and export in M2V and AIFF. Then i use A.PACK to export in AC3.
But i always get a white part (around 1 sec) in the end of my movie. I cut it in QT, but then get it again after the m2v export.
Each time i get a AC3 lenght different from the video. Say the AC3 file is 24 second long, and the movie is 23:13. Of course, when i try to make a loop in DDVSP(3) my music is cut OR i have a white display before looping. What is the problem ? How can i correct this ?

    never found a solution ..

  • Why doesn't my itunes have the same apps as my wifes itunes, even though our itunes is set to the same region?

    Good day all,
My wife and I have itunes accounts, however she has apps listed in her store that I don't. Please help.

Which country iTunes store are both of you using?
    Which apps are different?
Are these the apps you purchased? You have different purchsaed apps in your iTunes library than she does in hers?

  • How to make all users have the same working environment?

    Hi guys,
thanks for helping out on this issue.
Is there a way to set all users on your system to have the same working environment? I believe, as root you can edit the /etc/profile. But when I looked at the file, I was confused. I had no idea where to add stuff because it was a script.
Please if anyone can help me explain how to customize system wide working environments, I will be very grateful .
    Thank you
    Arrey

    Hi.
It's not clear what you understand under system wide working environments ?
    /etc/profile it's one possible solution.
Another way - put custimozed .profile to all users and use customezed */etc/skel* for new users.
    Regards.

  • Can itune and ipad have the same user name?

Setting up new ipad, can ipad and itunes have the same user name being my email?

What do you mean by "user name"? They can, probably will, use the same iTunes Apple ID, if that's what you're asking.

  • My dad and i share the same apple ID and now we have the same contacts. Help please

When my dad got a new phone he got all of my contacts because we have the same apple ID so how do i get my contacts off of his phone and also if he deletes one of my contacts off of his phone it gets deleted off of my phone. Can someone help me? Thank you

To fix this, one of you needs to migrate to a new, separate, iCloud account.  To do this, start by saving any photo stream photos you wish to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow, then tapping Save to Camera Roll.  If you are syncing notes with iCloud, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account.  Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud), choose Keep on My iDevice and provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone.  Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload your data.
Once you are on separate accounts, you can each go to icloud.com from your computer and delete the other person's data from your account.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.  Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If you have failed to bakup, then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod: File>Transfer Purchases

Verify/repair your disk first (not just permissions), as described here:
The Repair functions of Disk Utility: what's it all about?
After having fixed all filesystem issues, if any, and making sure that there's enough space available on the startup disk (a few GB, plus the space needed to make a backup copy of the Mail folder), try this:
    1. Quit Mail if it's running.
    2. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Mail/. Make a backup copy of this folder, just in case something goes wrong -- e.g. by dragging it to the Desktop while holding the Option (Alt) key down.
    3. Locate Envelope Index and move it to the Trash. If you see an Envelope Index-journal file there, delete it as well.
    4. Open Mail. It will tell you that your mail needs to be "imported". Click Continue and Mail will proceed to re-create Envelope Index -- Mail says it's "importing", but it just re-creates the index if the mailboxes are already in Mail 2.x format.
BTW, you haven't answered which mailbox has the problem. I could be that just rebuilding that mailbox fixes it -- you should verify/repair the disk and make a backup copy of the Mail folder first, nevertheless, though.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user's home folder, i.e. ~/Library is the Library folder within the user's home folder.
