Alphanumeric sequence for RDA, PO and Receipts

Hi,
My customer ask to have a specific numeric sequence for all the RDA, PO and Receipt created in Oracle
The customer use Iproc to generate the RDA and needs to have a dedicated alphanumberic sequence, The same for the PO generated from the RDA and the same for the Receipts generated after the PO processed.
I saw that in PO I can create manual alphanumeric number, but I need to generate automatically.
Is there any workaround or customization that I can do to solve the issue?

Your question is not clear.
If you go to Purchasing > setup > organizations > purchasing options > numbering, you will see that you can setup the system to automatically generate the next number. A different sequence is used for RFQ, PO, Quote and Requisition.

Different sequence for Bridge-hosted and PS-hosted ACR files?

I have four cr2 files in a folder thumbnails displayed in Bridge Content sorted by date created in the following sequence: 1276_1, 1246_2, 1276_3, 1246_4. When I select all four and open in Bridge-hosted ACR they appear in the ACR filmstrip in that sequence. When I open the same selected four from Bridge in Photoshop-hosted ACR they appear in filename sequence: 1246_2, 1246_4, 1276_1, 1276_3. This is in both CS5 and CS6.
Shouldn’t they appear in the Bridge sequence in PS-hosted ACR? Any settings that would influence this?

From Bridge the thumbnails in ACR are displayed in the same order as Bridge, set by the View > Sort menu.
I dinked around in Photoshop, trying to force an open in various sequences by changing the order in the sort box - best I could determine no matter what sequence I selected they always showed in ACR in filename order. Maybe there is a setting somewhere, but I couldn't find it in my brief investigation.

Help required with Access Sequence for 'Delivery output' of Scheduling note

Dear Gurus
I need help with creation of an Access Sequence.
I have created an access sequence for sales org and customer, where the communication is emailed or faxed to the CR party- Forwarding agent.
BUT - some customers have more than 1 forwarding agent in their masterdata, and not all forwarding agents are wanting to receive fax/email, so if a condition record exists it will always try to send via the method set up against the customer.
I need to create an access sequence which looks at the customer/ Forwarding agent combination, - I have created new condition tables and Access sequences to include Vendor, - but when i create delivery notes, - this is not working, - it is not recognising the access sequence at all, the vendor party/haulier is not being recognised at all- I keep getting access not made, Initialised field'
Please advise how i can get the customer/Forwarding agent scenario to work

Hi Tony,
The field SPDNR can not be entered directly in the feild catalog list.
First it has to be included in the list through inculde or user exit......
SPRO->Sales and Distribution>System Modifications->Create New Fields (Using Condition Technique)-->New Fields For Output Control---> Use INCLUDE for new fields in Dictionary (messages) or Use user exit for new fields (messages)
You ask your ABAP consultant to do this then it will be available in the field catalog list then u can select in the condition table then into access sequence and so on...

Is there a way to set up browse sequences for project with multiple TOCs and conditionalized modules

I'm using RoboHelp 9 with WebHelp output.
I've got five outputs, one of which contains Help for common functions, while the other four contain Help for licensed modules. When a user opens the Help for a licensed module, the user sees the core Help and the licensed Help. In addition, files are conditionalized so that searching for unlicensed content from a licensed Help module brings up nothing.
I've been troubleshooting problems with the Previous Topic and Next Topic which, thanks to William, I learned are related to browse sequences. After trying assorted configurations, I've got a couple of questions:
Does RH support only a single browse sequence in a project, even when the project has multiple outputs & TOCs?
If RH supports only a single browse sequence, does that mean there is no way to create a unique browse sequence for each separate output?
If RH supports multiple browse sequences, what is the workflow?
I also maintain a 'master' TOC that contains all the modules, both common and unlicensed. What I've done for now is to autocreate a browse sequence based on the 'master TOC'. When I generate output for a licensed module, which is conditionalized, I only see the TOC for that module and, therefore, can only browse between books and subbooks in that module. I've also verified that topics that do not appear in the conditionalized module, such as for another licensed module, do not appear in the Search results list either.

You also asked about the functional differences between WebHelp and WebHelp Pro, so let me elaborate.
I'm aware of only two major differences (other than the extra benefits of feedback analytics reports and management of "Areas" with authentication in RoboHelp Server).
The behavior of Browse Sequences as explained above
The fact that Content Categories are not supported in WebHelp Pro for this latest version 9.
As for the Browse Sequences you are trying to provide for different modules (licensed, etc.): Multiple Browse Sequences are included in a single .BRS file. The sequences are defined in the XML within the single file.
As a workaround (for either WebHelp or WebHelp Pro) you could create a NGP Help.brs. which you have already created for one module; then backup and archive it. Then, create a modification for the different module before you generate again. The NGP Help.brs. will need to have the same name as your project so you will have to manage the desired .brs file into the project folder when you generate that version. All of your other choices (TOC, Index, Conditional Tags, etc.) would remain the same for the respective modules.
Finally, I note that you are apparently generating WebHelp Pro right now even though you are not publishing it to the RH Server? This is really not the best practice. You should generate plain WebHelp for a web server that does not have RH Server on it (even though you may be getting away with it). As for your concern about "breaking" something; each output is placed in a different !SSL! folder automatically when you generate, so you should be able to generate WebHelp without interferring with the WebHelp Pro output. Then, you can re-publish to the RH Server using WebHelp Pro whenever the server is ready.

Support for RAW Video and Image Sequences

Being a stills photographer who moved into video some years back, I'm very interested in the direction Lightroom is going with regards to video support. I haven't tried it yet but I wondered if LR4 supports Red R3D files? And would it perhaps support other future RAW video formats from the likes of Canon and Sony? It would seem like the perfect application, perhaps intergrating with Premiere in a similar way to RedCine with FCP. Be great to be able to log footage, orginize it into bins and do basic colour correction in LR, edit the project in Premiere and re-touch in After Effects.
Another task LR would seem ideally suited to is combining image sequences into timelapse video. Shooting timelapse as an image sequence on a DSLR is pretty much standard practice these days; and I've used LR to colour correct, crop and scale my sequences (before fitting them together in Quicktime) for years now. It would be fantastic to be able to preview the clip and export the video (as DPX, ProRes or DNxHD) from within Lightroom.
These are obviously fairly long term wishes. In the short term though, the video features are pretty much useless to me without support for exporting ProRes and DNxHD files. With this LR becomes a powerful asset manager that could be used to collect together footage from multiple sources/codecs and transcode it all for editing. As mentioned in a previous thred, XML support would make it even more useful in this context. There is definitly a gap in the market for an application than can handle this kind of task well.
With other manufactures floundering or neglecting their professional user base, Adobe would seem poised to take the video post crown. I wonder if Lightroom could be part of the takeover?

As I understand it Andy, its intention is to remain a photographers program, not a videographers program. The basic video features are available for lightweight management of videos coming from digital cameras, but it's not going too much further than that at this point in time. Of course that may change in the future, but we'll all have to wait and see on that one.

iTunes credits are, for example, if you download a song from the store and it's found to be corrupt - if the track can't be fixed then iTunes support will tend to give you a song credit for a free download.
When you purchase music from the store then any credits that you have will be used first, then any balance that you have (e.g. from iTunes gift cards or allowances), and any remaining amount will be taken from your credit card.

Handling DB sequences for create and commit actions on ADF tables

Hello,
Most of the tables will have sequences used for primary keys and there will be columns like created_On and created_By columns. But my table does not require user inputs for these columns. So when commit button is clicked on the table how to handle these columns. The commit action should refer the sequence and enter SYSDATE and username for created_on and created_by columns.
what is the workaround for this ?

Use groovy expressions as default values for the EO fields - adf.currentDate and adf.context.securityContext.getUserName()

What is the best way to setup a premiere sequence for export when mixing 24fps (CG) and 23.976fps (live action) for final output at 23.976 (vimeo and such).
Right now my sequence is at 24fps, and when I export to 23.976, my dialogues seem to shift.
Should I set my sequence at 23.976fps instead of 24fps?

That makes it easy. Remove the CGs from the project. Go to Edit>Preferences>Media... and set the Indeterminate Media Timebase to 23.976. Then when you import the image sequence, PP will assign it the correct frame rate.
Edit in a 23.976 sequence.

You can use a validation for this (OB28). FI
When you have as sepperat number range you can say
when order number is between xxxxx and yyyyyy and
cost center is blanc give a error.
When the number range is used by more order types you hav to create a substitution for this.
Perhaps in the validation from CO (OKC7) order type is avaible and you don't have to create substitution

Process for Integrating HD and STD Video in One Sequence?

Here's the situation, I have footage of an event from 2 cameras. The customer wants footage from both cameras in the final video. Naturally when the standard footage is dropped into the timeline it is accompanied with ALOT of black space. What is the best way to eleminate most of the black space? Do I use 2 different timelines and them somehow integrate the 2? Please help!

Either scale the HD source down with the motion effect (best) or scale the SD up to HD dimensions with the motion effect (worst) or use a special plug-in from Redgiant Software (OK but costly).
Since most deliveries are still on DVD, thus SD format, the first option is best. You can also use two different sequences, one with HD and one with SD material and export them separately to SD format, but the drawback is that you can't mix footage from the two cameras.
