ALV in WD ABAP: add a text field in aggregation line

Hi,
I implemented the SALV_WD_TABLE in a web dynpro and I add a column sum;
in the new aggregation line I would to edit a field inserting a text: is it possible? I think not because the class cl_salv_wd_aggr_rule has not useful methods,
any ideas?

Hi,
there might be incomplete language transports in your system or other things. But first you could position the cursor on the button in the application and then press F1. Then the help information is displayed together with the technical information where you should see the technical info about the object.

I presume you are talking about a report display in ALV and u wish to add a column to it .
If it is a global requirement ,as in table being used there in ALV can be modified, then you can append the table and the system should pick up the same automatically from there.
Otherwise , you can make a Z program . Modify the catalog being used in ALV.

Check this BADI BUPR_RELSHP_OVR_EXT. According to the documentation it is used to display additional additional data. Check the documentation and see if this is helpful.

You have not mentioned the version you are using (assume its 5.0 or lower). Also, do you want to add a custom field & also programatically update it? If you want to add a custom field , you can use EEW.
But, from what you have written, I have a feeling that you can use some of the (existing) standard fields. What is your exact requirement.

Is that possible to add "text" column or field in GL item fast entry. For example, if i go to Txn F-04, i enter all the details then i go to: "Goto>GL item fast entry (shift+F8). Now you will see layout (GL item fast entry). So back to my question before, is that possible to add new field or column (text field) in this layout? Thank you for your kind reply. Based on the answer from the link you have given me (as per below quote), there's no "DEM03" in my selection screen. We only have SAP01, SAP02 and GL001 (customised layout). That's why i had created new customised layout GL002 and try to add the "text" field in layout as per my first question. But system still won't allow it.

Add a text field in ToolBar

Hi,
I'd like to add a text field in my toolbar like the one used by Acrobat for the Zoom. I also want to attached a menu to it. It will help me to show the user the document's list of layers, and my 'active' layer will be shown in the text field.
I couldn't find any explanation neither in the API reference nor in the snippets exemples of the SDK.

The APIs necessary to put non-buttons in a standard Acrobat toolbar are not exposed to 3rd parties at this time :(.
if you want/need to do something like this, I would suggest using OS functionality to create a floating palette of your own.

No, I won't explain it in detail - you need to read the documentation and at least make an attempt at the process on your own first. The documentation is right there in the IMG where I said it was but here's the path since you can't find it:

ALV Filter : Not working for a text field - Strange problem

Dear All,
I have a Z-program where the ALV filter is not working on a particular text field.
The output on that text field is as below :
ABCD
JKLM
YYZZ
ABCD
JKLM
ABCD
JKLM
YYZZ
YYZZ
When we try to filter on YYZZ, it gives blank list. But for other options given abobe it works fine.
I know it is because of the negative sign , but how can we over come this problem ?

Hi Sandip,
Use 'LOWERCASE' in the fieldcatalog.
For the particular text field when you are appending the Fieldcatalog structure to the Fieldcatalog Table
( Suppose LS_FIELDCAT)
Then check the LOWERCASE field.
(LS_FIELDCAT-LOWERCASE = 'X' )
This will serve the purpose.

My requirement is The newly configured Text field to contain the NxTrend Po number needs to be available in EDI 850 IDoc for XI maps the value to the field.This text field is configured at Sales Order header level and named as end customer PO.This field should be available in the IDoc so that the value of end customeru2019s PO can be mapped there.
The changes are only required for NxTrend and do not need to be made for regular EDI customers. The message ID for NxTrend is NXT_ORDERS.

New Acrobat X / LiveCycle User - Cannot Freely add/move Text Fields - Why?

I have (what seems to me) an elementary question that I cannot seem to figure out.
I have a form that I created in MS Word with placeholders for fields such as pick-lists, text fields, or check boxes. Now that, to me, is not uuber fancy, but I cannot seem to add text fields freely in Acrobat X without the constraints of the rulers or grid lines limiting WHERE I can place my text box, etc. How can I change this? I created a form a few weeks ago and didn't recall having this limitation, but now I am whiule creating a different form. Any idea how to work around this?
P.S. I even tried creating the doc instead through LiveCycle, by uploading via the Word doc and editing from there, but I cannot seem to get LiveCycle to work at all. Everytime I select the Word doc to upload, the program stops responding and freezes. I am using LiveCycle ver 9.0.0.0.0 and X Pro 10.1.0

I have a real need to add text fields to Acrobat document pages from Applescript. I can't access the Headers and Footers from Applescript in Acrobat XI. I can set watermarks using the following script, but cannot for the life of me work out how to add text fields. Any advice please?

G'day
Unfortunately I don't have the API. My Adobe Reader installation updating to version XI failed, and subsequent attempts to fall back on the X version are blocked by the partial install of XI. Damn Adobe stuff.
Could someone please post the relevant part of the API to give me some pointers, please.
I ha mucked about with some information I found on the Web, and come up with the following, which fails because I can't work out how to address the current document with the variable myDoc.

Urgent! How to add another text field using Servlet

Hi all,
I'm using Java Servlet to create a submit page. I want to let users to submit their products and as many as they like.
What I made several chechboxs of common products on the first part of the page, so that users can simply select from these common products. If they have more to submit, they can click a "Add" button, then another textfield is supposed to appear in the same page below the "Add" button and user can type in, then if they have more, they click "Add", another textfiled should apprear under the first added textfield, so on and so on. After finishing type in all their products, they can click "submit" button to submit to the database.
I want all the inputed data stay in the same page when user add more and more, so that they can alwasy see and change before submit. I had problem to detect the "Add" button and add new textfield while keeping all the data user has already inputed. How can I do this?

I normally use "hidden" tables for something like this. To accomplish the effect I use JavaScript and a stylesheet. Remember once the servlet sent the page to the browser, it can't interact with it anymore - you'll have to use client side script - which off course you can sent as part of your servlet output :-). You'll see with the switch statement in the JavaScript, that there is a limit to the rows that gets displayed - adjust as you please, just remember to also update the loop that generates the tables. Also note that each text field has the same name! The result of this is that an array of these fields are submitted, so you're recieving servlet will need to loop through the array basically take appropriate action on the fields that don't contain an empty string. PHP/MySQL: 'Add New' text field from menu in form

I am creating an events posting website. I'm having a hard time finding the right words to describe this, but: I'd like the user to select a venue from the drop menu, but then if it isn't there, to select 'add new' from the dynamic menu, and have a new text field activate where they can enter in the new venue name. My database is currently set up so the event table links to the venue table through a venueID. Is there a way to insert the name from the new text field into the venue table, and have the rest of the form still submit to the event table? Sorry this is so wordy, but I'd appreciate any help. Thank you.

You cannot add a new value to a related table at the same time as inserting a record. So, to do this, you would need to use both JavaScript to add the new text field, and PHP conditional logic to handle the update to both tables. It's certainly doable, but not with the Dreamweaver server behaviors. You would need to do a lot of hand-coding yourself.
The way that I approached a similar problem in my "Essential Guide to Dreamweaver CS4" was to permit NULL values in the column that holds the foreign key, and insert nothing into that field if the value hadn't already been registered in the related table. I created a static value in the dynamic menu for "Not registered".
After inserting the new record with "not registered", the user then needs to enter the new value in the related table.
Once that has been done, display a page that lists all records. In the SQL, I use a LEFT JOIN to ensure that "not registered" items come up as well. You can then edit the item to add the value from the dynamic menu.
It's not the most elegant way to do it, but it works if you don't have the skill or time to hand-code all the logic yourself.

How to add an animation to a text field with two lines?

I have a text field with two or more lines. Why isn't it possible now to apply a text animation?

For certain tasks, Titler and its Presets can be very good, and can simplify things greatly.
However, when one gets beyond the limitations of the Titler, I really like to create my Titles in Photoshop, and Import those as Still Images into my Project. I then use the power of Keyframing various Effects over time. This allows me much more control, BUT does require more hand-work. Still, that added control is too important to me, and I sort of like doing the handwork.
For the "alignment" of multiple Titles, to get multiple lines of Text, you can create the first Title, and then chose Duplicate Title. Initially, that will be identical, but you just change it, as is necessary. After you have changed that "second line of Text," place that Duplicate on the next Video Track, above the first Title, and use the Fixed Effect>Motion>Position, to move it down, to where it would be (by the height of the font, plus any desired Leading), if one had created a second line of Text on one Title.
I also like to use Alignment Grids, when things get critical, and create those in Photoshop, with a trasparent background, and just place them, on say Video Track 2, with all of my Titles above that. Just do not forget to remove any Alignment Grids, before you Export/Share the Timeline, or they will be part of the output video.
For more background on Keyframing (so very useful with more than just Titles), Steve Grisetti has done a multi-part tutorial, available as Basic Keyframing on Muvipix.com. I highly recommend it. Keyframing is simple to do, but can be a bit of a tough concept to grasp initially, and it's a subject that is tough to write about - takes longer to type instructions, than to do the work.

PS - Do not know if you saw them, but Titler has two Alignment Tools - Align Horizontally, and Align Vertically, that can be helpful to center Text.
