ALV LIST is working wrong
I have written program to see alv list. When i run the program it shows first field value in all fields in same row.I mean it looks like
row1 : 1 1 1 1 1
row2 : 2 2 2 2 2
row3: 3 3 3 3 3
I am calling function to do list with this program :

Hi,
Please check your field catalog, you might be building it wrongly. Better is use the FM: REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE
This will build the fieldcatalog automatically, you need to pass the output table and program name. For more details check the FM documentation.

Background processing of interactive alv lists

I have an interactive alv list which works fine with online processing. When run in background it only create spool for the first list. What can be a solution other than merging all the secondary alv list to the primary list level. Can we create alv list (for background proesiing mode) for more than one internal table. (I think normally we can have only one internal table displayed in a list using reuse_alv). Please inform me if further details has to be published.

Rajeeve Patriconline after first display user can interact with the report and so the secondary report can be displayed....now in background mode if u run it spools out first report...Now, someone has to interact with this report so that second report can be shown...But user can't interact with the first report in background process.....so, it might be that if report is running in background then the 2 reports needs to be merged and shown in one report...

ALV list with empty data - What could have gone wrong?
Dear experts,
I'm currently working on some codes to display data (the tables involved really do contain data), but when the codes are executed, the ALV list does not contain any data in it (only the column headers are fine).
What could have gone wrong? I've been staring at the codes for hours now. Please help. Appreciate any help at all.

I've just debugged my codes again and found out that in the first place, there is no data contained in the internal table gt_1 at all. My rough guess is because I've misused the INNER JOIN wrongly here (see code comments below):-

Hide delete option is not working in ALV List Display- urgent

What do you mean by Hiding the records.
Deleting completely from the screen.
You can just delete the records from the internal table and pass to field catalog before displaying again.
or serach in the slis structrue for hiding the contents of the output.

How did you validate the work e-mail?
I recommend to set another text field to get the email of the user from User Information List and then use the text field for validation.
Could you please provide an example of your requirement for reproducing this issue?

Display error protocol in an alv list
Hi!
I have in my program an alv list.Two of its fields are editable. For one of this field I want to control the value key by the user. So , i used ADD_PROTOCOL_ENTRY from class CL_ALV_CHANGED_DATA_PROTOCOL like in report BCALV_EDIT_04. The control works very well when the user key a wrong value.
But, here is my problem. I add a button to allow user to change value for several line with one click (mass change) and i would like to control entry too.
Since when i call method CHECK_CHANGED_DATA after my mass changes nothing appends, in PAI module i add this code.
DATA WT_CHANGED TYPE REF TO CL_ALV_CHANGED_DATA_PROTOCOL. CREATE OBJECT WT_CHANGED EXPORTING I_CALLING_ALV = GRID1.
PERFORM MASS_CHANGE.
CALL METHOD G_VERIFIER->HANDLE_DATA_CHANGED( WT_CHANGED ).
In perform mass_change i had this code :

The protocol windows appears. When i click on an error message the cell witch contains the error is selected but the fiels <i>name of the columns</i> is empty in the protocol windows and the incorrect value is not deleted.
NB : when i do manual change (i.e line by line) this columns isn't empty and the incorrect value is deleted.
can you help me in order to solve my problem?

I have a problem with my ALV List, I use a simple ALV List with much fields and I can't change with ALV Grid, on a specific client works correctly but on another client of the same system I've a dump.
Is it possible to set a client dependent limits for fields/characters to display for output?

AntonioIt's a strange problem because if program runs on '100' client, runs correctly but on '200' client I have a dump but the system is the same...
If field catalog is wrong I should have the problem with all clients...
I've tried to remove/change some fields and works but with all fields I've dump only on one client...
I think there are limits on layout... is it possible?

Output of two ALV lists in background

I'm currently working with an existing reports which is quite complex. The report creates an ALV grid and uses a couple of write statements to create some statistics.
Running the report, we get the ALV grid. Then using BACK/F3 we leave the grid and get the list showing statistics.
I would like to create an ALV for the statistics. This works fine online: After leaving the grid the statistics ALV is started. But in background, I got just one list.

Online, it works fine. In batch, I get only the second table as list. If I exit after calling FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY', I get the first list only. How to get both lists printed in sequence? I will not use ALV block list display, because this would mean major restructuring of the program and no grid online. SUBMIT ist no good idea as well.

The option is in layout structure adn has to be set in the next ALV function called, so if the program works in background mode it can call REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY instaed of CL_SALV_TABLE.

ALV lists in background = no spool - why ??
Hi Experts,
I have a quick (probably very simple) issue on programs using ALV grid/lists.
We have a program, dointg some treatmeant.
At end of execution of program we display errors and processing messages viathe ALV grid.
So it is working fine on foreground.
But when we execute it in background we have no spool. nothing. Even in SM37 not the spool icon.
I understood that normally we could have the ALV content in the spool. But I do not understand what is wrong.
Could some experts help me to understand what is wrong and hwo to solve ??

The importing parameter IS_PRINT of ALV List will solve your issue. I have tested this.
Data : wa_print type SLIS_PRINT_ALV.
wa_print-print = 'X'.
wa_print-no_print_listinfos = 'X'.
Now you have to make separate call for ALV in foreground and background .
For that,
If sy-batch = 'X'.
call function module by passing IS_PRINT parameter(wa_print).
else.
call function module without IS_PRINT.

alv list always change size(scaled) I mean cannot fixed

then u are right.
outputlen is the right property.
2. Along with that we need to do one more thing.
This is regarding the column heading
which appears either LONG, SHORt, MEDIUM,

SharePoint Online 2013 Workflows for one List stopped working after 07/08/2014
Our client host application in Office 365 SharePoint Online 2013, and we just found that all workflows for one list stopped working after 7, Aug 2014. It kept displaying pop-up message "Something went wrong. To try again, reload the page and then start
the workflow." when manually start a workflow for this List.
Tested workflow for other list, there's no problem.

From ALV list to Selection-screen
Hi,
I have problem in coming back to selection screen after displaying ALV List.
In ALV list i'm using check box option to delete selected records. After deletion I'm displaying the remaining records with one more call to ALV function module.
As this is not a secondary list i'm not able to use SY-LSIND and even call selection-screen or leave to screen 0 are not working.
could you please help me out.

You don't have to show the remaining records in another ALV.
In the user command sub-routine we will be passing the parameter RS_SELFIELD TYPE SLIS_SELFIELD.
When you delete the rows from the internal table in the user command set the refresh field to on.
RS_SELFIELD-REFRESH = 'X'.

my requirement is i am displaying output using alv list display. now my rewuirement :
i am displaying out in edit mode only. when user clicks one particular field
for example record is like
runrate a01 maheed -> if user clicks on a01 this field should be editable. i have a following code
