I got the following error while trying to connect the waveset database with Repository type as SQL Server 2005(JDBC Driver)
com.waveset.util.ConfigurationError:
==> com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Login failed for user 'waveset'. The user is not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection.
what name i can specify in JDBC ... is there any need to create DSN for that ...........
The Parameters that I have given for connection are:
URL: jdbc:sqlserver :1433;DatabaseName=
JDBC Driver: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver
Connect as User:

Do you have your SQL server set to Windows Authentication mode only?
You should change it to allow mixed authentication. You can do this in SQL Server Management Studio under Server Properties -> Security.

    Occasionally, mid-way through the upgrade, DB permissions to users might change. Check to see, if the users SAP<SID>, OPS$ users have the DBA privilege. Re-assign the role and try continuing with the upgrade.

    how we can this.

    The 9.0.1.4 version supports SQL server 2005.

  • "BCP Commit Failed" New Install On Windows 2008 R2 with SQL Server 2008 R2

    I am installing a new Netweaver install on a virtual machine loaded with Windows 2008 R2 and SQL Server 2008 R2. The install gets to the "Import ABAP" phase and just hangs. SAPINST says it is still running, but there is no activity to suggest there is anything going on. There are no errors in the main logs, but after digging a little I did find these errors in the SAPSDIC.log file.

    Anyone have any ideas as to what might be going on? I can't find anyone with this exact same error. And this is our first attempt at installing a system with Windows 2008 R2 and SQL Server 2008 R2. All of our other Windows SAP systems are on Windows 2003 and SQL Server 2005 and we're in the process of upgrading - this being the first system.
    Thanks in advance,

  • Installing SAP R/3 with SQL Server 2005..

    Hi,
    Microsoft is about to release "SQL 2005" in Nov05. Has anybody in here thought of installing/upgrading SAP on MS-SQL's latest version of the database server. On doing some research on the net I noticed that Microsoft has already upgraded their SAP R/3 environment to the beta edition of SQL Server 2005. I did not find any information on SAP having certified SQL Server 2005 yet.
    Do we have to wait till ECC6.0 or whatever the new version of ECC would be to leverage the SQL Server 2005 D/b ?
    Any thoughts/information on the readiness of SQL Server 2005 for SAP R/3 would be appreciated.
    Jay

    Hi Jay,
       Past experience says SAP won't support a new platform (e.g. DB, OS, etc) until they have had a chance to test it.  Your official SAP document for what is supported is in the Product Availability Matrix.  http://service.sap.com/pam
    With that said, that doesn't mean that you can't try it out. Of course not in a test environment. You get some very good learning experiences from trying.  But don't enter a customer message about a non supported platform.
    Good luck,
    John

  • How to install mini SAP in MS SQL Server 2005 Express?

    Hi, is anyone know how to install the mini SAP v4.6 by using MS SQL Server 2005 Express?
    I get error when connecting to the Database at 88% of the installation.
    Please help. Thank you.

    I do not think you can install miniSAP 4.6D on MS SQL server 2005 express.
    1) you need the up todate patch to run on MSSE. If  SAP did the work to allow it to run, it would be patch 55+. As supplied it is patch zero.
    2) You can install on MSDE (MS SQL server 2000) patch 4. Look for my post INFO: Installing MiniSAP 4.6D on a named instance of MSDE (MS-SQL).
    3) after the install on MSDE SP4 you would have to change the database code page to 'BIN2' look for the OSS note.
    4) then you can start patching through to the most recent.
    The main reason you cannot do this is MS have changed the version key format to include '.6' as extra info which SAP cannot interprate, too many dots.

  • Driver's SQLSetConnectAttr failed/SQL Server 2005/ODBC Native Client

    I have an ODBC application that I am writing in VS 2008 C++. I freely admit to not being an ODBC expert. I am having trouble with SetConnectAttr failures. I've got them down to one specific case that I will describe here. The environment is 64-bit Windows
    7 (client) and SQL Server 2005 running on Win Server 2003. I am using a 32-bit ODBC connection. For the most part the application is working: I am successfully using the connection to do multiple INSERTs into multiple tables. I get lots of hits when I
    search on the above error message but they are so "all over the map" (Oracle, packaged applications, specific situations) that I have not been able to find one that seems to apply. Connection Pooling is not turned on in the connection.
    I make the following call
    SQLUINTEGER timeout = 10;
    // seconds
    retCode = SQLSetConnectAttr(ConnectionHandle, SQL_ATTR_LOGIN_TIMEOUT, &timeout, 0);
    I receive a zero in retCode.
    However when I subsequently issue the SQLConnect() I receive
    [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver's SQLSetConnectAttr failed
    I was setting three different connection attributes and getting the above message twice, but I have for debugging purposes commented out two of the set's. The above call is the only attribute I am setting so it is apparently the one that is failing. Any
    help would be appreciated.
    Charles

    In case anyone else runs into this, here is the real problem with the original code:
        retCode = SQLSetConnectAttr(ConnectionHandle, SQL_ATTR_LOGIN_TIMEOUT,
    &timeout, 0);
    The SQL_ATTR_LOGIN_TIMEOUT attribute takes an integer by value, not a pointer to an integer.  This is a confusing aspect of this API.  If you pass a pointer, ODBC is really "seeing" a large integer value, which causes the
    code to effectively behave as though there were an infinite timeout.
    Instead, just pass the value of the timeout:
        retCode = SQLSetConnectAttr(ConnectionHandle, SQL_ATTR_LOGIN_TIMEOUT,
    (SQLPOINTER) timeout, SQL_IS_UINTEGER);
    Then the timeout value should be respected.  Using SQLSetConnectOption(SQL_LOGIN_TIMEOUT) seems to be equivalent to the above, provided you pass the timeout by value and not via a pointer.

    I think the clearest statement about this is on page 11 of the Master Guide (SAP BPC 7.0 M Master Guide at [http://service.sap.com/instguidesEPM-BPC]).
    Look at the rows for OLAP Server and Microsoft SQL Server.  In each of those, you wil find this statement:
    "Can be 64‒bit when separate from Application/web services"
    On page 10 in the Installation Guide, for look at the rows for Application server Web Server.  The prerequisites are as follow:
    App Server:
    Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard or Enterprise Edition SP2 (32-bit) configured with NTFS, set to English (United States)
    Web Server:
    Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard or Enterprise Edition SP2 (32-bit) configured with NTFS
    Finally, the PAM is a bit confusing.  For product SAP BPC 7.0 FOR MICROSOFT, click on the tab Operating Systems and then click on the tab BPC Server.  That is the software that you install for the Application Server and the Web Server server types.  The Operating System Version listed is WINDOWS SERVER 2003/IA32 32BIT

  • How do you uninstall JAVA 7 from a Windows 7 machine?

    Hi,
    I am going to raise a easy question to the eye. I have been running into machines that have been upgraded to JAVA 7 on a Windows 7 machine. I have been yet to remove it. When I uninstall JAVA, it leaves behind a broken icon in the control panel. when I reboot and install another version of JAVA it says: "Application Not Found".
    RevoUninstall will not even get rid of this JAVA 7. Any ideas?
    This happens on EVERY Windows 7 machine with JAVA 7 installed. It just will not come off, and has to be re-imaged.

    Hello,
       How many machines is 'EVERY machine'? Is this a single computer and Windows has been reinstalled? Are there multiple independent computers?  Is it a vanilla Windows 7 that is installed or is this an image created by a Desktop System Administrator that as been configured? Are any errors seen during the uninstall?
    Uninstalls processes can fail for a number of reasons; including, files are in use, permission issues, corrupted registry entries, file/directory changes made post install.
