Am having problem syncing my iphone. it keeps coming up with a message, itunes stopped working when it gets to step two backing up.

i am having problem with my iphone 4. i connet it to itunes all fine, when it comes to syncing it it allways comes up with the message, itunes has sopped working. itunes with then close and with in the message it says itunes will get back to me if a solution appers. i have tryed a few thing that i have read on here but nothing is working. it first started when i updated my itunes and phone since then i havnt been abale to sync.
can anybody help thanks.

    It shouldn't take that long.  You might want to start over by turning off iTunes Match on your phone, and also by opening iTunes on your computer and going to Store>Turn off iTunes Match.  Then turn it back on in iTunes, wait for your library to be scanned and matched, then turn it back on on your iPhone.

    its likely to be your phone, im having the same problem with mine at the moment, iv tried my sim in other phones and its been fine and iv tried other sims in my phone and its come up sim failure every time. chances are your sim is fine its just your phone thats causing the troubles.

    Did you try to delete teh photo chache? Photo Sync creates iPod photo Cache
    Is there enough free space left on the phone? iTunes needs up to 4x the space to sync the photos than the actual size of the photos to be copied to the phone.

    Hi I am using Itunes 12.01.26 on a Windows 7 PC
    My library is saved on a nas server and the network drive is mapped.
    I have an ipod 5 and Iphone 5s
    Up until october this configuration has works a treat however since about October I have had difficulting in Syncing.
    I cannot sync my music  - everything i try fails so as a last resort i have tried to restore my devices.
    Itunes stops working when it gets to the stage of copying the apps.
    I have read a suggested solution to move the library to the local C drive but this does not seem to be reasonable solution particularly as my library is large.

    Same problem here with Win 7 64 bit & iphone 4.  It all started a few weeks ago with itunes upgrade 10.4.8.   After about 20 hours wasted time, uninstalling and re-insstalling all Apple products in the suggested order as suggested on another forum.  Still had the same problem.  Will sync fine until I check the "videos" tic box.  Itunes stops working in the step of "optimizing photos" (????).  If I go back and uncheck "videos" tic box, iphone4 will sync just fine.  BUT now all my videos previously on my iphone are on the PC.  I would like them back on my phone! 
    I gave up and went to the Apple Store to visit with a Genius.  Took my PC and everything with me.  It was not from lack of trying, she did all the same stuff I did and checked everything over.  Could not fix it.  She said it appeared everything on my PC was set corrrectly and the problem was probably with itunes.  Said she always waits a little while when updates come out to make sure there are not bugs before putting them on her stuff.  Lesson learned.
    I hope with Steve Jobs gone, this is not the future of Apple

    iTunes thinks you have a new computer because you restored the OS. Open iTunes and authorize it to the same account you have on the iPhone. Did you restore your iTunes content from a backup after resetting your computer? Have you been syncing regularly with the computer, and does the iTunes library on the computer contain your apps, music and videos? If so just sync and your content will be removed then restored.
    If you have not hopefully you have now learned something. You can recover apps and purchased songs by connecting the phone, without syncing, and choose "Transfer purchases..." from the File menu.

    Clean the connector on the bottom of the phone. Use a magnifying glass, bright light, and a wood or plastic toothpick. If you got the phone wet put it in a bag of uncooked rice for several days, not hours.

    Does anyone have a clue for me? I've had no problems syncing my phone until a couple of days ago. Now when I try to sync it causes iTunes to stop working and gives me a message that the problem will be solved if I get the lastest version of iTunes. Oh wait! I have the lastest version!     Now I've checked the forums and followed the advice of uninstalling all Apple applications, rebooting, and reinstalling iTunes.
    This is not working. I've tried installing as Administrator but doesn't make any difference at all.
    There must be a way to fix this? I'm not a tech geek but I want to avoid having to take my laptop back to factory settings to sort this out.

    Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

    Does it power on if you plug in the charger?
    But to be honest I see in your description it says 'Late 2011' so there is a good chance you have warranty right, I would take it to Apple store and let them sort it out
