Amber update error 8018830f on Lumia 620

My Lumia 620 has an avalaible amber update, but it seems that my lumia can open the update after it was downloaded.
I get the error message 8018830f - the download is downloaded, but the device can NOT open it.
Can someone help me or give me some advice what I should do?
(I tried to reboot my phone to factory settings, but i still get the error message)

Hi Guys,
Try the following steps:
1. Go to Settings > Language+region.
2. Tap the Phone language.
3. Select a new language (Make sure that you're familiar with the language).
4. Download the language pack and then restart the phone.
5. After that, retry to update your phone by going to Settings > Phone updates.
Let us know the outcome.

Go to Setings> screen + touch > select touch... than tick the box on Double tap to wake
If you still need to reinstall Amber, do a hard reset to your phone... Setings > About > reset your phone

Firmware update 1308.0001 for lumia 620 rollout

i would like to know what the regional distribution order is for lumia firmware updates. I have a lumia 620 from hongkong and i live in australia. no update so far . and i make sure to check like twice a day
has anyone in australia or in any other region received the 1308.001, or the latest ones for the 820 and 920 that are supposed to come in the same rollout ? they have all been anounced mid-march.
an official statement about this would be great as well.

What was announced was that the now shipping (from manufacturing) devices have the new firmware and an OTA update would start at a future date. Since there have been no further announcements it would be safe to assume the OTA update has not started yet.
There is no need to 'check multiple times a day' you will get a notification on the phone when the update becomes available to you.

I just uploaded windows 8.1 on my lumia 620 and now i cant open my agenda anymore??

Welcome to the community, vlaamseardennen. You're phone is running the Lumia Cyan WP 8.1 SW, is it correct? Do you get any error when trying to open the Agenda / Calendar app? Do you only experience this issue with the Agenda app? How about with the other pre-installed or downloaded apps?

1308 Firmware Update for Puerto Rico Lumia 620

I was wondering if anyone had an idea on when the 1308 firmware update will be pushed to Lumia 620s that are the Puerto Rico variant? I have an unlocked 620 from Puerto Rico and I would really like to enjoy the new features in that firmware update.

hi mate,
Nokia has stated a few weeks ago that the update has begun rolling out and will take a number of weeks before it reaches particular countries / operators. if your device is being held up, then you may want to check with your network carrier if your phone is a branded handset.

Problem with my Lumia 928... started after Amber update.

First, I to state that I love my Lumia 928 and the Windows Phone 8 OS. Second, I've been a Third-Party Microsoft developer for over 14 years and just started developing for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8. So, I'm not a normal consumer but one that will try everything in my toolbox before asking for help or even writing posts like this.
History:
As of October 6, 2013, Verizon is sending me a new phone (not guaranteed to be new. ) to see if that fixes the issue
Used for work and personal emails so I can't just go and do a "hard" reset without have extreme headaches.Last resort before I get my "new" phone, I've broken down and started doing a "hard" reset (actually this is my second time).
No damage to the phone (Verizon employee has confirmed these, hence the new replacement)
No cracked screen
No frame cracked
No water damage
Shortly after the Amber update, I started having problems. In order of oldest issue first.
Lock upsRandom apps just freeze. No rhyme or reason. No pattern. Just all over the board.
No touch responseSide buttons work but that does be no good when I can't select anything on the screen. Solution, "soft" reset and things are good... for a while.
Phone call speakerStarted losing phone calls. Thought it was a signal issue until I noticed that the call were not actually dropped. Speaker just started cutting in and out (completely) and sometimes it would just dim to almost nothing and then come back.

October 4, 2013, nothing was wrong. Then the next day, my Live account associated with my phone stopped working. Keeps saying "Not up to-date". Had to create another account to get my emails. As of today, it's still not working. Unfortunately, I didn't write down the error code so I can't post that here.
Is anyone else experiencing these issues after the Amber update and if so, what did you do to resolve it (if you did)?

The Amber update came to our Lumia 928 and we had just activated it like one or two weeks prior, so we were just getting to know the phone. In answer to your difficulties following the Amber update:

My screen is cracked due to a drop, prior to the Amber update. (Yeah, it was nearly brand new when I dropped it ) That doesn't seem to affect the overall function of the phone though.
So, to sum, I am experiencing some of the issues you described, but I'm not sure it's Amber, maybe just the phone design itself. I don't know that a "new" phone will resolve things either. Please do keep us posted...

What is new for the Lumia 620 in the black update ?

It seems Lumia 620 doesn't benefit the "double tap to wake", other than that all announced apps and features will be available. I advise to check also some great beta apps from Nokia Beta Labs, kudos to the guys developing these.

Push notification error in lumia 620

There is some push notification error in my lumia 620. Hence, i cant use any IM apps. It says to reboot my phone. How do i do that? And will i loose my personal data if i do it? If yes, is there any other way out?

Rebooting your phone means to turn it off and then on again. You will not lose any data or settings if you do that.

Lumia 620 screen freezing problem

i have a lumia 620 and i update it through the phone settings OTA, after restart the screen remains freeze at the start lockscreen nothing works exept side buttons.. and thats not all before 620 i had a 520 wich is a **bleep** piece, same problems with screen
A honest question to nokia : Guys what sort of "error" is that ? What's wrong with you guys ? I switched from iphone 4 wich worked perfectly fine in 3 years after tons of updates..to this lumia 620, I NEVER EVER GONNA BUY ANOTHER NOKIA PRODUCT

When you say 'software update', are you referring to Lumia Black? What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far? Have you tried to reboot the Lumia 620 by pressing and holding the volume down and power keys until it vibrates and restarts?
If the screen works after rebooting, try to verify if the software is fully updated. If it's the Lumia Black software that you just downloaded, check if it shows up under Settings > Extras + Info. Try also to check if all system apps are updated. You can scan the app codes shown at this link: Nokia Windows Phone 8 App Updates.
By the way, if you still have your Lumia 520 and had the issue with it after a software update as well, you may try the same troubleshooting steps given above. We'd appreciate it if you'll update us with the outcome.

To make sure you don’t miss out on the latest updates, on the start screen, swipe left, tap Settings > phone update, and make sure the "Tell me when updates are available for my phone" check box is ticked.

Regarding your concern, you may check the FM Radio under music+ videos. And for the data sense, you may coordinate this with your service provider for its availability on the phone.
You need to make sure that all the system apps are up-to-date. You can use this link: http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Pool-of-Knowledge/Nokia-Windows-Phone-8-App-Updates/td-p/1640082 to scan all the system apps on the phone.
Here is the process on how to scan all the system apps.
Tap on the Bing search ( magnifying glass icon ) > press the vision icon > scan.
