An app or two won't flip easily
In a couple of apps flipping from vertical to horizontal does not work that easily while others it works fine.
The main one that's an issue is lynda.com app, it takes around 20 seconds to make it move at all. Could that be a software issue in app or a hardware issue on iPad? The same app flips perfectly on my iPhone though...

If this is only happening with some apps then it's very unlikely this is a hardware issue. You should go to the App Store and see if there are newer versions of the problem apps available. If not, report the problem to the developers (there's usually a contact or bug report link on the page for the app in the store). Most will reply very quickly, and come up with a quick solution. They're a pretty cool bunch.
If that doesn't work, you can try deleting the apps from your iPad and resyncing them from your computer, or you could try resetting your iPad. The latter is a pain, but when all else fails it's likely to do the trick.

Well, yes, data does get corrupted sometimes.
The trick is finding what data.
By 'cleaned' are you therefor meaning that the drive has been erased and the system re-installed?
Because that's the quickest way to deal with such a situation.
Back up the system first of course,
Add back 3rd party apps one at a time in case one of them is causing the problem. -
I'm a MAC beginner; embarrassed to ask: Although Word, Pages,Key note show in my app list, they won't open. With Word, I get a pop-up that says it won't open, and then has numerals 1712. Just downloaded Flip Player 2 days ago..what should I do pls??
It is possible the versions you have are not compatible with your new Mac. Could you please tell us the following:
1. What OS are you running.
To get this info, click on the Apple on the top left, then select About This Mac. The OS X version is there.
2. What are the versions of the apps that are giving you problems?
To get this info, double click on the hard drive icon and open the Applications folder. Select an application and right click on it. Then select Get Info. The version number is there.

I have two apps on my Mac App Store that won't update no matter what I do.
One of them is not even mine. It shows a weird russian email address that does not belong to me.
The other one says "updated" but won't go away from the updates list no matter what I do (Reboots, etc).
How can I erase them? I need niether apps.

There are two things here. The first one is that the apps aren't of course hacked/pirated. The mac is of a friend of mine. She's 65 or something and has no idea on how to hack apps, plus, afaik, nobody else has access to her computer.
Secondly, the thing is that niether app shows at the app list, and we even made a find from a terminal window, and got no results of the apps.
It is a very strange behavoir and if somebody has a solution I'll be glad to hear it.
BTW, She just upgraded her machine to OS X 10.8.1, I'll check if the upgrad fixed the bug.

Am I the only fool who clicked on update all when my iPad told me updates were available? Two updates loaded just fine, but the other four never updated and now lie useless and grayed out. I had 6 Apps that needed updating on my iPad original. I hit "Update All" and that ruined four Apps. They won't download the updates, nor will they launch and be useable either. I lost Splashtop 2, Bible!, and Mercury Browser! Suggestions?! I don't want to ruin my access to Splashtop 2 for sure.
I fixed it by going through a few steps using iTunes while hooked to my computer.

IPad video editing app for HD video and Flip HD video
Hello,
Has anyone found an editing app for HD video and Flip video? I've downloaded ReelDirector only to find out they don't recognize Flip Video format and they don't really do HD, only output to HD...which is silly.
I want to be able to edit my little Flip videos and post to FaceBook and my blogs....

SaraThe iMovie app is for the iPod touch and iPhone. As for editing flip videos on the iPad. Now that i can use the CCK to import flip videos into the ipad. Would be nice if there was an app for editing these videos on the iPad.
Fair warning about the free Flip app in the app store. If you use it to upload videos to YouTube, it only uploads a low quality video, SD. Best bet is to use the photo app which uploads a higher quality video, night and day comparison in quality between the two apps.

My iPhone 4s didn't do it until the latest update so imnpretty sure it's on the apple server some sort of bug maybe? Not sure. But whatever it is I really would like to download apps. It won't let me download any apps and my phone is brand new.
Sorry guysy iPhone says unable to download application at this time and I try all day and it still won't let me download no matter how hard I try.

If you had money in your account when you purchased a paid app and Apple didn't claim on the payment to your bank until after the download it maybe that there was insufficient balancce in your account to complete the purchase and therefore you'll need to wait until you have the funds to make the payment, when you have billing issues it won't even let you download free apps.
If that isn't the case then give iTunes store a call or email them and they can tell you exactly what is wrong with the account -
any app I download from the app store doesn't open. after I finished downloading the app I tap it to open but it crashes as soon as i finish downloading it. yes, the downloading process works but any app I download won't launch. pls help

Install the v10.6.6 combo update available here. It's ok to do this even though you are already running v10.6.6. The combo includes fixes that were not included in the original update.

Restart your Mac and try the MAS again.
You can download apps directly from the MAS once you have it running.
Considering the TM backup took so long, make sure there's enough space on your Mac startup disk.

If you don't see them on your purchased list, make sure that you are signed in with the Apple ID you used to purchase them in Settings>iTuens & App Store. Then redownload them by opening the App store app on your phone, tap Updates at the bottom, tap Purchased at the top, then tap Not on this iPhone at the top.

It's a Magic Mouse question. I have set this up in Preferences by ticking Swipe between pages with one finger and also Swipe between full-screen apps with two fingers, however when I try to do the latter, the 2 finger swipe will take me from the app that I am on to the dashboard only and not to my other open apps.
I also find that Smart zoom only works with some apps, for instance not with Word docs or email.
How can I correct this please?Just figured out it also does not work with the Mail app.
