An error has occurred. Message on launch of FB4.5

I own a license for FB 4 Standard and I own CS5 Production Premium. I did an upgrade to Web Premium 5.5 to get FB 4.5 Premium. I'm on a Mac Intel i7 with 10.6.7.
I'm able to install all the software, but when I launch FB 4.5 I get "An error has occurred." message. The message says to "See the log file ... path to log" but I'm not sure what I'm looking for or how to fix it. The last section of output in the .log file says:

I tried uninstalling the FB 4.5 that I did with the CS5.5 Installer and reinstalling it, but the same thing happens. My next plan was to download the FB 4.5 trial and try entering my serial number.
Any advice or guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!

So I tried the trial version but my serial number didn't work I guess because it's for a CS5.5 Web Premium product. I also tried uninstalling my current version of FB4 Standard, uninstalling CS5.5 and starting from scratch without any copies of FlashBuilder in my Applications folder and that didn't work, same error log message. I ended up reinstalling my original copy of FB4 Standard so I could continue working.
The odd thing is when I went to my MacBook Pro and uninstalled the copy of FB4 Standard I have on there and installed the CS5.5 FlashBuilder 4.5 Premium it works and started up fine. So I'm guessing there's something specific about my iMac setup that's preventing launch.
I was looking at my FB installation details, don't know if this matters but I'm running the standalone version:

Unfortunately it's the weekend (holiday in US too). I like the weekend for trying to get these things setup but I'm on my own and feel I'm out of luck until the work week starts.
If anyone from Adobe is reading this with a beer in one hand and hotdog in the other (or burger or veggie burger or bbq chicken leg) on a hot memorial day and have an idea on how to fix this I'd really appreciate your advice. Thanks!

    I-phone 4........I am being auto-prompted to update my IOS from 7.1 to 7.1.1.     Just upgraded to Windows 7 64-bit and when trying to open a CS4 project I'd been working on in XP 32-bit I get an error message saying:
    Adobe Premiere Pro
         Sorry, a serious error has occurred that requires Adobe Premiere Pro to shut down.  We will
    attempt to save your current project.
    The error occurs over and over until the entire page is filled with this message.
    I just installed Production Premium CS4 and did the updates.  I can start a new project without a problem.

    Was able to get it to open by starting a new project and importing it, but I can't get it to save.  When I go to save, the Save Project box opens up, but the bar never fills at all, it just freezes up.
    I realize Windows 7 is new and most people haven't had a lot of experience with it yet, but was just wondering if anyone else had come across this problem.

    Hi guys,
       I did a search and found some older threads on the topic, but the situation and circumstances are different here, so I thought it best to start a discussion.
       Essentially, I took over a project from a co-worker, and it has been very problematic.  5 times in the last 90 minutes, when doing something as mundane as scrubbing in the timeline, I get the crash message, "Sorry, a serious error has occurred that requires Adobe Premiere Ori to shut down.  We will attempt to save your current project."
        This is fairly frustrating as the message is so extremely vague, I can't possibly troubleshoot the cause.  But, let me give you specifics...
        HARDWARE - I am presently running on a 2013 27" iMac. 3.4GHz i7 with 16GB of RAM, and the stock NVIDIA GeForce GTX680MX graphics card.
        SOFTWARE - OSX 10.8.4, Premiere Pro CC 7.0.1 (105)
        PROJECT SETUP - this is a little unusual as it has a very specific delivery, but the sequence is at 540 x 1920, making it tall and thin.  I am missing the Cosmo plugin that the other editor was using, but this should only result in the effect being turned off on any applicable layers, which appears to be the case.  All of the media and assets are on a common SAN, and I started out by saving a new version of the project into my partiion (as we each have write access to only 1 partition), but it is linked with and pointing to all the same footage and assets as the original project.  Other than that, there is nothing atypical about the project.
       So, each time this error has occurred, it has done so when I have moved the playhead in the timeline, either by scrubbing or clicking.  It has not occurred the same place, it seems that it can happen anywhere.  There is nothing else (besides Safari and Text Edit) open, and only 4 video layers (no audio), so the machine nor the software are being pushed at all, but something is definitely amiss... timeline navigation is about as basic as it gets.
       Any help or insight into this would be very appreciated.  Tomorrow, I am going to have the client over my shoulder, and having my program crash constantly is both embarrassing and unproffessional.

    Well, I may have solved the issue.
    It occured to me that the original project was made on an older MacPro... one that has a graphics card with little or no Open CL support, and my Premiere settings on the iMac were at default which has Mercury OCL engine engaged.  I changed that to software only, eliminating the GPU from the equation, and so far things have been much more stable.
    I'll report back if I have another crash

  • "An internal error has occurred" message when scanning from MX922 to desktop using Windows 7

    I am no longer able to scan using my MX922 connected to my desktop running Windows 7 without getting a message on my desktop saying "An internal error has occurred".  I have turned the MX922 on and off, I have disconnected both the power cord and USB cable from the MX922 and from my desktop, I have reconnected the USB cable to a different port on my desktop, I have uninstalled all Canon programs from my desktop and reloaded all Canon programs with the MX922 CD, and I have restarted the desktop multiple times.  I scan documents several times a week for my business. It has worked fine until today. What do I need to do to correct this problem and get back to scanning?

  • Struggling to figure out reasons behind those "An unexpected error has occurred" messages in SharePoint 2010

    We are in day 5 of using SP 2010 on our 4 server farm. The farm was created by taking our MOSS 2007 databases and attaching to our database.
    We have had a variety of cases of users encountering the "An unexpected error has occurred". In perhaps 10% of the cases, we have found the correlation id in the logs - which are tracing using the default logging levels.
    We have used the Merge-SPLogFile and get-splogeven cmdlets but get no records returned for the others.
    They are not occurring frequently. But when they do, we don't have a lot to go on to figure out what is wrong.
    I have read various other threads on the site. I have looked in all of the 14 hive logs on all 4 servers (which should not be necessary after having used merge-splogfile) but do not find the correlation anywhere. I have used uls viewer - still do not find
    it.
    This is a production system where users are making use of the system 24x7. I need to find things to try that do not take down the system.
    Is there any way that increasing the verbosity of the logging might be requried so we can see these errors?

    It truly depends on the error that occurs, but I would say that increasing your logging level would be the first place to start.
    BE AWARE... Setting logging levels to Verbose WILL fill up drive space very quickly, so if your servers don't have much free drive space, you run the risk of crashing the server when it runs out of space... in the very least, server performance will grind
    to very poor levels.
    If you're not finding the correlation IDs, then upping the level might be the only way to get the messages.  The best approach is to try and find a recreatable scenario.  If you can recreate the error through UI actions, you can up logging levels
    on an App server (to avoid impact on end users) and point directly to that App server (using HOSTS entries) in order to recreate the error.  Once you've recreated the error, you can restore normal logging levels on the server again and then proceed to
    parse the logs using ULSViewer in order to find the target correlation ID.

    I am using iPhone 4 unlocked (direct from apple store ). I am getting 'A unknown error has ovcurred' message while trying to download free apps from AppStore.
    I am connected to wi-fi while doing this.

    Same problem here in Brazil.
    It seems to be a problem with logging in App Store in the Mac (Yosemite 10.10.2).
    When I tried the very same userid and password I was able to login in to use my iCloud account from the same computer and also from my iPhone.

    I have a PC running Windows 7.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled.  I have tried deleting the registry files and reinstalling.  I have tried to right click on the Adobe Icon and run Troubleshoot Compatability but also receive the same message.  When I click on error details it says Error Code: 0x80070005.  Any thoughts?  I am not very technical and this is the limit of experience.  Thank you.

  • An error has occurred after upgrading from MBAM 1.0 to 2.0

    The upgrade went fine, uninstalled MBAM v1.0 from SQL and IIS servers, rebooted servers and re-installed with MBAM v2.0.  However, now when I go to the webportal every page shows the "An error has occurred" message. 
    I've checked the webconfig files under the Help Desk Website folder and it's got our server path in it.  the webportal was working before the upgrade.

    Good to hear it was a simple fix. I'm about to upgrade our production environment tomorrow night. Going from MBAM 1.0 to 2.0 SP1. Not sure where you upgraded from, but did you run into any issues. I've been looking and haven't seen anyone encounter any
    real issues. We are not doing the SCCM integration btw.

    I downloaded and installed the latest Illustrator CC 2014 (18.1.1) last Saturday. I'm using the updated software today for the first time and, in the two documents I've worked so far, I already lost some work. I'm getting the "An unknown error has occurred" message.  The files have a simple b&w drawing and one or two lines of text. I'm moving text blocks and/or resizing fonts using fonts I've used before and files that were working well last week. I cannot rescue the updated documents: trying to save to an eps gives me a "Can't save the illustration. A necessary resource is missing. ID: -192" message. Trying to save to a pdf give the "An unknown error" as well.  OS 10.7.5  I'll appreciate any insights.  ETA - I've been testing the issue: I open a page, type one character in Any Font and the "unknown error" appears - I cannot use this version of ai until I resolve this issue, can I revert to the previous CC version?
