An unexpected error occured. PDFMaker was unable to produce the adobe PDF

"An unexpected error occured. PDFMaker was unable to produce the adobe PDF." When trying to print PDF from Publisher (MS Office 2010) version 14.0.6129.5000 32bit. I am able to print to PDF Printer. I am using Adobe Acrobat 10.1.5.
Windows 7 64bit.

All I know to suggest off hand is to update to the latest Acrobat (10.1.7). You might also check your job settings and check to see if a log file was created that might give you some idea of what failed.

Can't create new pdfs from powerpoint; either form within Adobe or within powerpoint.  I could do this yesterday and today it won't work for some reason.  The error says "an unexpected error occurred.  PDFMaker was unable to produce the Adobe PDF.  How do I fix this?

Is there a log file in the document folder indicating what the problem was. There are a number of reasons that PDF creation may fail. You can try to print to the Adobe PDF printer to see if there is any indication in that process. The processing is different, but the same problems may show up with both processes.

  • An unexpected Error Occurred. PDFMaker was unable to produce the Adobe PDF

    Hello,
This is a very user-UNFRIENDLY message.  There is no info as to what error occurred or how to fix it.  I googled this error and only found info relating to earlier versions of Acrobat and not sure they would be worth the trouble of checking out on latest version...one would have hoped Adobe would have something on this, but I can't find anything about it concerning the current release.
    The scenario:
Powerpoint 2010, Adobe Acrobat X Pro, both fully updated and current. Late model Dell computer with plenty of RAM/Disk space. Windows 7 Home Premium
I can create a PDF using the Print to Adobe PDF option.  However this does not save embedded videos as flash videos, and I have several.
We are supposed to be able to embed videos in PDFs from Powerpoint (and other MS Office products) by having Acrobat Pro convert them to FLV format.  I did a test conversion in Powerpoint using the "Insert Flash" option under the Acrobat ribbon, and it converted and played fine in Powerpoint.  However when I then try to save the presentation as PDF, I get the error and no PDF is created.
This error occurs with both Acrobat X standard and Acrobat X pro.  I had hoped that Acrobat X pro would not behave the same way but it does.
What's the deal?  How do I fix this?
Thanks in advance for any help

    Hi Bill & Sandeep,
Thank you very much for your comments. I also had entered a message about embedding cine loops (.avi -> .mov or avi -> MP4) into PDF files from Powerpoint slide presentations at another forum, and got some help there, too.  I am confident the temp file is not the problem as my original file is not that big, but I did take Bill's advice and make a small 1-6 slide test presentation in Powerpoint to sort this out.
However I still haven't been able to get the desired result:  A secure PDF of my slide presentation with embedded cine loops that will play smoothly and continuously once their page/slide is displayed or until the user clicks them off.
What I have done:  The native files are .avi files (have to be, unfortunately.)  I convert them to .mov or .mp4 to work with Acrobat X Pro Embed Flash feature.  These files play fine in "native" format in Powerpoint.  I can select an option for them to play continuously and that works.
If I load the same files via the "embed flash" process, they appear as a black box on my slide with nothing in it...this threw me for awhile.  Then I found that if I just played the presentation as a "show" it would actually display the cine loop images that I couldn't see on the "Normal" editing page in Powerpoint, and once played as a show, the images and controls magically appeared on my slide in edit mode.
I converted the presentation to .PDF using the Powerpoint, "Save As Adobe PDF" option under the File menu in Powerpoint.  File conversion went without a hitch.
However two problems arose:  First of all, no way to get continous cine - each time the cine loop ends, the user has to re-trigger it...this is true in Powerpoint AND Acrobat with "Embedded" cine loops, but does not happen in Powerpoint if they are not "Embedded."  In Acrobat if they are not "Embeded Flash," then only a still shot of frame 1 of the cine appears.
Second of all, the first time you click on the Cine to get it to play in the PDF, the image changes from image 1of the cine loop to a black box, and then plays the cine for just one loop.  What's up with that?  Very annoying appearance and doesn't happen in Powerpoint in native, non-flash format.  I'd like that to go away also.
And by the way, I tried importing the cines directly into the PDF from within Acrobat and got the same problems, plus then the images are on slides/pages in the PDF that don't match the rest of the Powerpoint theme/style/color.  I did find that turning off hardware acceleration completely fixed the black frame/stutter and some jerky cine problems when images are directly imported into Acrobat X - the images played smoothly and nicely, but I can't get past the garish look of having to manage the cines that way and how they look compared to the rest of the project.  Also, having the hardware acceleration off does NOT fix the embedded videos made from within Powerpoint like it did the cines directly imported into Acrobat.
Since both of you (Bill & Sandeep) indicate this shouldn't be an issue, I'm sure I'm just ignorant and missing some easy fix.  I sincerely appreciate you both trying to help me.  If you (or anyone else, for that matter) have any more ideas, I'm definitely open to suggestion.
    Best regards,
    John

  • An unexpected error occurred processing your request. Check the logs for details and correct the problem.

    Hi All,
I am configuring RSS Viewer webpart to SP 2013.
But i am getting an error "An unexpected error occurred processing your request. Check the logs for details and correct the problem."
I looked for solution of this error. i got to know, we need to set proxy server in web.config file.
So, in order to resolve this i put the following set of code in web.config and save the file
    <system.net>
        <defaultProxy>
          <proxy usesystemdefault="True" proxyaddress="http://myproxyserver" bypassonlocal="True" />
        </defaultProxy>
      </system.net>
But, still i am getting the error.
What could be the problem now.
    Any help is much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Rakesh

    Hi Rakesh,
According to your description, my understanding is that you got an error when you used RSS viewer web part in SharePoint 2013.
The RSS viewer web part uses authentication delegation and is using the current user's credentials to access the proxy. However, the RSS viewer only supports anonymous and Kerberos authentication. So if you are using NTLM authentication, the RSS viewer will
not be able to authenticate the user through the proxy. More information, please refer to the link:

    I hope this helps.

  • Unable to find the Adobe PDF resource file

I am unable to create PDF files from a Microsoft office document.  I am operating Windows 8.1 and Adobe professional XI.  I received the following error message: unable to find "Adobe PDF" resource file "Adobe PDF maker."  I have followed the previous threads with known issues for Adobe X however, I have never installed Adobe X and I was able to create PDF documents from Microsoft office documents up until approximately 2 weeks ago.

I started having this problem yesterday. A few days ago I was having issues and notice that I had 2 versions of Acrobat XI (Creative Cloud) installed.  I started to uninstall one of the versions (in Windows Control Panel) and it took forever. I canceled the process and restarted the computer. Acrobat seemed to be working normally, but I was unable to create PDF files from Word, and received the resource files message listed above. In addition, I cannot print to a PDF any longer. Distiller is set to "standard." I am trying to run repair, but the Windows process circle keeps turning and has been for over 30 minutes. I have no idea whether Acrobat is repairing anything, or whether I should terminate the process and do something else. Any ideas?

  • 'An unexpected error occurred' using AirPort Utility to configure an Extreme

Hi all, I've been fighting with this problem for a while. I have a 2011 Mac Mini running OS X 10.7.5 and AirPort Ulility 6.2. I also have a new-ish AirPort Extreme A1408. They've never really seemed to work properly together. The only way to configure the device is to manually launch the AirPort Utility, go "file > configure other" and enter the password "public" to log in and manually change the settings.
If I hard-reset (which I've been doing to troubleshoot another issue) and simply choose "Other AirPort Base Stations (1)" I can see my router in the drop-down. It goes through the process of gathering information and joining the default wireless network (I'm using the unsecured default right now as a matter of fact), but then the process ends with 'An unexpected error occurred'. Even with that message displayed, the default wi-fi connection stays up (clicking cancel kills the wi-fi connection immediately).
I can always go back through the "file > configure other" process and set it up manually, but then it never appears in the AirPort Utility as a connected base station - all I see is a green light for Internet and a "No configured base stations have been found" message.
Here's what I'm seeing in the Console:
13-05-25 11:12:27.000 PM kernel: MacAuthEvent en1   Auth result for: 20:c9:d0:20:4c:10  MAC AUTH succeeded

13-05-25 11:20:29.806 PM configd: network configuration changed.
Looks like after I open AirPort Utility, the connection to the default wireless network is established, the system goes to probe the base station, says "nope I know this guy already", then the process spits out the 'An unexpected error occurred' message, I click "cancel", and the link is dropped.
Does anyone know why my AirPort does this? Is it a network configuration setting somewhere in the Mac? I've had this thing for a while and of course decided to dive into the Apple ecosystem entirely dropping to a single Windows gaming rig, only to find that the special magic doesn't work for me

Read this please, before assuming your AirPort Extreme is broken. The links at the end will likely resolve your issues. First try to rollback your AirPort's firmware to 6.1.1, which should restore your Internet connectivity. If it does, but you'd rather have the most recent upgrade available, follow the steps given in the following links, 6.1.3 should work fine for you then.
After numerous attempts by apple IT reps to persuade me that my modem was somehow the cause of my AirPort Extreme broadcasted WiFi network suddenly losing connectivity after the 6.1.3update, I found the truth that helped me to correct my own problem, and successfully use 6.1.3 rather than the rolled back version 6.1 i had been forced to resort to.
If rolling back your Airport's firmware fixes your connectivity issue, or your dns server has been erased by the update to 6.1.3, I speculate that these links will help you out greatly.
It turned out, that this was A KNOWN ISSUE to Apple! With an actual fix Published by Apple themselves! They've just got it hidden away because they must have wanted to drive me to the brink of insanity. . Luckily for Apple I worked with an amazing rep *(Thelma) who at least acted as if she didn't think I was a crazy person. I found the fix on my own after 16 grueling, redundant and fruitless, hours of troubleshooting (time wasting) with "senior" Apple techs.
Let me tell you, 'I told you so' has never sounded so sweet. (Thelma) was ****** that no one in the company bothered to fill her in on this issue or solution and had her support send me a new AirPort just before I discovered the fix. After the discovery, she told me not to bother sending either back, and apologized for the run around that took up weeks of my life.

  • How do I resolve error message "mapi was unable to load aplzod.dll"? Outlook2010 on Win7

Attempts to open Outlook calendar files (apparently located) on iCloud result in the error message "MAPI was unable to load the information service C:\PROGRA~2\COMMON~1\Apple\Internet Services\APLZOD.dll". Be sure the service is correctly installed and configured."
I am running Outlook 2010 on Windows 7. I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes with no apparent effect. Is this a problem with iTunes or Outlook, how do I resolve it?

That's part of my problem - I was getting the error message when I tried to click on iCloud in the Calendar portion of Outlook 2010. I don't know where it was generated (iCloud, iTunes, or as an add-in to Outlook).
After my original post I tried restoring my computer to a date when I knew this worked, the restoration worked, and I can access my calendar. So that problem resolved itself.
I do have another question, but I'll post it separately. Thanks for your response.

    Hello,
    I have a problem with
ExchangeServiceBinding.CreateAttachment(...) method (EWS with Office 365)
When I try to add a small attachment (e.g. 5 MB), then the method works fine.
When I try to add a big attachment (e.g.
12 MB), then the following exception is thrown:

    Hello,
The maximum size is rather not the problem in this case. As mentioned in my question above, I have a problem uploading messages with 12MB attachments to Office 365 via EWS. According
to the documentation you provided a link to, the message size limit in all plans of Office 365 is 25MB.
When we try the same request using slow network connection (1Mbit/s) there IS problem  - we are NOT able to upload 12 MB attachments.
When we try the same request using faster network connection (10Mbit/s) there is NO problem - we are able to upload 12 MB attachments.
It seems like a kind of timeout - probably from Office365.
Is there a possibility to upload attachment in chunks?

    Hi clay,
Per my understanding that you got some error when you upload reports in the report manager, right?
I have checked the log and the issue can be caused by many factors.
It can be caused by the size of the report is too big which will sent the request in its entirety and got a TCP ACK-FIN or RST from server to close the connection, without a response from server when uploading the reports. We can follow these steps
to increase the request size to resolve the issue:
Add the following registry key with the following value:
     Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\HTTP\Parameters
Value: DWORD "MaxRequestBytes"  set it to a value of 5242880 (5MB). (This number is alterable).
    Stop the SRS Windows Service.
From a cmd prompt run "net stop http" then "net start http".
    Try and upload your report.
Details information please reference to this similar thread:
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2238494/cant-deploy-or-upload-large-ssrs-2008-report-from-vs-or-ie
If the above didn't help, please also check below information:
configure the rsreportserver.config file and make the SecureConnectionLevel value set to 0 to solve the problem. By default, the file is under the path:
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS10_50.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\ReportServer
You can refer to the code below:
    < Add Key="SecureConnectionLevel" Value="0"/>
The SecureConnectionLevel property allows values of 0,1,2,3, with 0 indicating that Secure Socket Layer is not required for any of the Web service methods. And a positive integer indicates Secure Socket Layer is required for all the Web service methods.
If you still have any problem, please feel free to ask.

  • The underlying connection was closed. An unexpected error occurred on send

    Hi,
I am unable to log into the BPC Admin console. I get this error "The underlying connection was closed. An unexpected error occurred on a send".
I saw a SAP message indicating that turning the Norton firewall off resolves this. I don't have this on my computer. Any ideas on what causes this and how to resolve it?
    thanks
    Agnes

The problem probably is in the network connection of the machine.
I have seen this problem when I logged in to SAP BPC through a very weak WLAN connection which sometimes lost connection. If the connection was lost during a data send I got this error. So maybe it has something to do with a bad network connection on the machine you are working on.
Side note, I only experienced the problem when I logged on to a Citrix environment throug an internet connection.
When I have a decent connection I don't experience the problem.
