Analyzer for MSA??

Hi,
I came to know that there is a tool called UF Analyzer for MSA for viewing the log messages.
How can use this? Is it a separate tool to be installed on the MDW?
Is this tool used only for MDW or can I use it for Mobile client as well?
I'm using MSA 5.0 SP05.

I tried this by selecting the tile set/tile in MSA application and Ctrl+Del and double clicked the mouse, but nothing happened.

I'm pretty sure higher access superceedes, so you could set up a group with no actual access, just to get the preferences working, then their individual security will dictate what they can do. I haven't tested this fully, but I beleive this is how it will work. As far as setting the preferences, go into the admin console and right click on the group, then select Preferences. To apply the group preferences to a user, add the user to the group, then right click on the user, select preferences and from the upper left corner, use the drop down to select the active preference, in this case, it will be the group you created and added them to. HTH

Cannot install nor uninstall Analyzer for Excel add-in

When I try to run the Analyzer installer executable, which was downloaded directly from our BI Publisher server version 10.1.3.2, the installer only asks if I wish to UNinstall the add-in. Since I have no other choice, I say yes, thinking I can start all over. It goes through it's cute little progress bars and states that it finished uninstalling. No matter how many times I run the installer, it always asks if I want to uninstall the currently installed add-in.
The add-in does NOT appear in the list of installed add-ins inside Excel.
That's just for starters. If I open an Excel Analyzer template workbook, the 'Oracle BI Publisher' menu appears. When I try to login, it says that the add-in must be updated, so I confirm. Then it successfully connects to our BI Publisher server, and starts downloading/installing various files. But this process terminates with an error, stating that the update process failed, and I will not be able to refresh the data.
There is an entry in the Windows Add/Remove Programs utillity that corresponds to the Excel Analyzer Add-in. No matter how many times I click the Remove button, this item will not be removed from the list. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling .NET Framework 2.0 SP1 and repeating this entire process. The result is always the same. I can neither install nor uninstall the Analyzer add-in.
Is there any way to make the installer re-install the Analyzer without thinking it's already installed? Is there some utility provided by Oracle that will manually remove the mess that is Analyzer for Excel?
I HATE the Analyzer for Excel, but it's the only interface to our data warehouse that everyone is skilled enough to use.

After failing to uninstall the program again, I tried using the 'Repair' option of the XMLPReportAddinSetup.msi package. That seemed to finish normally.
So then I tried to open an Analyzer template file. It opened, but when I tried to use the 'Login' item from the 'Oracle BI Publisher' menu, it said it needed to update the add-in. Instead of updating it, I chose to UNINSTALL the program, because I thought it would now have enough pieces to complete the uninstallation. It still won't uninstall. It is still listed in Add/Remove programs.
The next time I did the whole process again, and when I got to the point where the add-in says it needs to update from the server, I confirmed. This update again failed with an error.
I still cannot uninstall the program. I noticed also that the date on the program in the Add/Remove Programs listing is from Sept 30, not today.

Now, this is a simple projcet with talking heads. I have no rolling shutters, or anyting. All I want it to do is create optimized media. I do not want my poor processor to work at 100% for 3 hours to analyze for problems that does not exist.
What secret checkbox elseware in this gorundbraking software have I missed to uncheck?
If anyone can halp out with this It would be great. Im geting tired of listening to a synphony of fans spinning as fast as thay can to cool down my computer.

You have both 'Copy to Event Folder' AND 'Create Optimised Media' checked!
That means it's going to duplicate all the original material and put it in the Event AND its going to transcode the original footage and create ProRes 422 - which produces file sizes between five and eight times larger than the original.
So your poor mac is creating tons of duplicated material.
If you want it to be quick, cancel the import, and create a new event.
When you import your material again uncheck all the boxes.
Once the material is imported, if you find you have any difficulty playing it back, maybe transcode to ProRes - but you must remember to select high quality when you export the movie, or you'll get a low-res movie.

When I try to connect to the analyzer for excel, and the query takes longer than 15 minutes. Exceed the time.
Where I can to modify this parameter? In Weblogic?

I should clarify the output a bit better. Originally I get 30 rows of data, one for each Hub. After I add that last RET_INV group, I now get 900 rows of output. It produces the same first 30 rows, with the extra RET_INV column, and then duplicates that 30 times (which is suspicious).

Here as the Unit of measure is different, the RESULT displays a *
Only in cases where the unit of measure is the same, the result
is displayed correctly.
However in webi, the sum function blindly adds up without any possibility
to check whether the uom is the same.
How can I check to add only when the units are the same ?

Each Key Figure used in a BW query can have up to three different sets of information:
Numeric value of the Key Figure corresponding to the Key Figure without the unit.
Unit or Currency information, A Dimension object with character format that contains the unit or currency. For example, 'USD', 'u20AC', 'km'
Formatted value, representing the user-specific formatting. A Dimension object with character format that contains the Key Figure and the unit (formatted value) based on user preferences configured on the SAP server. For example, '200 USD', '345 u20AC', '25 km'
Each Key Figure is represented with a Measure object in a Class u201CKey Figures.u201D In the case where the Key Figure is configured in BW with a unit, an additional Dimension object will be added representing the unit information. The u201CFormattedu201D value represents the numeric value Formatted as a string value, following the user-specific formatting settings.
Or if doesn't appear the Unit, for some CKF or RKF it happens, you can add to your BEx query and then to the universe the unit or currency and create a separate dimension with that information.

Analyzer for Excel and Office 2007: Issue on Data Refresh and Parameters

Hi all,
for a customer BIP workshop I want to prepare a demo and experience a strange issue. Hope this is known and bugfix or workaround exists.
Created a very simple demo report with two columns and a numeric parameter. Called Excel Analyzer, the document opens correctly in Excel, data are filtered properly using the parameters initial value. I always have to log in to BI Publisher Server first, when a new instance of Excel is opened.
Then I choose 'Show parameters' from the BIP add-on menu. My parameter is shown with its correct inital value. But: After pressing 'Refresh Data' (regardless if parameter value has been changed or not), a VBA error message (Code 1004) occurs. Then the excel cursor remains hourglass and no BIP related function is available in this opened Excel instance anymore.
And another thing: After choosing 'Show Parameters' there appears a new empty column under 'Report Parameters' and the first cells of the table data are overwritten with parameter values.
Think, something goes wrong there with Excel 2007. Unfortunately I only can use this version.
Thanks in advance for hints. If I cannot fix this until Friday, customer will probably not be exalted by BIP :( .

I face the same issue in Excel 2003: Run-time error 91, Object variable or With block variable not set.
This happens everytime when I try to refresh the data after I open a saved excel template. But the refresh works fine when the report is initially downloaded using the Analyzer for Excel button
Have you found the workaround for this problem ?

Best Practice Analyzer for Exchange 2013

Greetings,
I have upgraded the messaging infrastructure from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013.
I want to test the Health of the system through ExBPA for Exchange 2013.
But i don't find any setup for Exchange 2013 like it was in 2010.
I went through an article by Office365 community, according to which for In-premises Exchange also we need to have office 365 account (can use trial account also) to get the downloader file for ExBPA 2013.

But to run the setup the servers needs to be connected to internet.
And, i don't want to expose my environment to internet in any condition.
Somebody, please suggest me if there is any setup available so that i can install directly without exposing to internet.

Exchange Server 2013 doesn't come with ExBPA for health check. This might help

Error when trying to email report using Analyzer for Excel template

I have a report for which I have created both "RTF" and "Analyzer for Excel" based templates. I can email the report using the RTF template, but when I try to email it using the A4E template (using the 'Send' button from the report screen), it never arrives. If I schedule the report to be emailed, it fails, and I get the following error information:

Is this qury is running fine in SQL?? Have you checked this query in Sql server(Management studio) whether working or not??.
I feel there is some mismatch with relations in query.. Cross check your query once in SQL itself. once it is running well, we will take a look.

Analyzer for Excel not show data.

Hi at all.
I have one select in BI publisher and when I push the button Analyzer for Excel, appear a message box. This message advise me for enable the macros of excel.
I accept this message but when the excel file's opens it appear empty.
What´s happend with my BI buplisher? is problem of Excel?

I doubt that you'll find anything worthwhile that will be free. Writing a network analyzer is not easy nor simple, if anything truly useful is even possible on an iPad since Apple reportedly disallows apps that do a signal scan, so it's doubtful that anyone would go to that much effort and not want to make money from it. But perhaps someone else here will have a useful suggestion for a specific app. It will probably help if you'll post what specific features or functions you need.

PPR configuration for MSA

Hello Guys:
Do you have any guide which specifies the correct Partner Product Ranges configuration for MSA application, I have been looking into some guides but I have not been able to get a guide or document which explain in detail how this configuration works. I have not been able to download accounts to my HH and I think the PPR configuration must be set correctly to be able to download this configuration.

yes there is a senario configuration guide which clearly explains how to do PPR sttings for BP and products, it has been modified for MSAHH5.0 but is also applicable to MSAHH4.0. please follow the following link.

Apache log analyzer for mac?

(note: this was posted in the OS 10.6 forum earlier, where it remained without replies. so i'm trying here now)
i'm looking for an apache log analyzer for mac that is fairly easy to configure and use.
have done some digging around and could not find anything that i found suitable
(yes i've seen awstats (want to configure based on local apache - configuration too much of a headache), analog (doesn't even unarchive) and several others. )
any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
