Animation does not display in Windows OS

Have a fairly simple banner ad created in Mac OS. Previews fine locally. Previews fine in Safari on Mac as standalone file and dropped in to iframe on Wordpress page (just like a Nivo slider on same page. Also previews in Safari using IE user agent string. When viewed in any browser on Windows OS, no animation display; either as standalone or loaded into iframe. Possibly something simple: a CSS visbility? Some Windows security thing? Any advice appreciated.

Yes Gordon. I think I have the solution for you. Apparently you are walking from left to right past your computer screen at the exact same speed as the animation while you are viewing it. This makes the computer screen appear to be moving to the left and the animation seem to stand still. I suggest you either speed up or slow down the gate in your walk to offset this effect. Don't feel alone in this. It has happened enough in the past that they have finally given a technical term for it.... the GC2 Paralax Scrolling Effect.

Firefox does not display URL selection window.

About 30 minutes ago, I clicked on the update Firefox button (3.6.6) I clicked restart when the update was finished. The new Firefox page DOES NOT display a window to enter a URL address or any of my frequently accessed URLs that I choose from. I rebooted by laptop, but Firefox page still does not display a window to enter a URL or to choose from my frequently used site urls.

I installed the latest version of iTunes (10.6.3.25) on a new Windows 7 PC. I can see ahred libraries on Shared but can't import as the line containing the Settings and Import buttons does not display. Any suggestions?

To move the iTunes library to this new computer I switched on Home Sharing and can see the other libraries on my home network. If I select tracks from a Shared library I can't import them as the strip containing "Show: All Items" and the "Settings" and "Import" buttons, does not display at the bottom of the screen. Goes straight from the list of tracks to the strip with Playlist icons and xxxx items, tttttt total time, yyyy GB.
Any suggestions for making the Import button appear?

I built a new computer which is EXTREMELY fast overclocked i7 ect and.. ITUNES DOESNT WORK
I click on itunes which ive uninstalled and reinstalled and reset the winsock AND seen if there were any errors AAAAAAND ive check the Hkey to make sure bonjur was the only one in there which it is and all that happens is my cpu goes to 25% and i cant do anything except go into the task manager and close it! ANYTHING with itunes (everything else is premium speed).

Photoshop window does not display unless connected to external monitor

I use a MBP connected it to an Apple Cinema Display used as an external monitor (not a dual display) when in my studio.
When I use Adobe Photoshop CS 5 without the monitor the image window does not display on the MBP. If I plug the external monitor in, the window is displayed correctly on the MBP. Photoshop is opening and "displaying" the image window offscreen. Nothing gets it back onscreen, except plugging in the external monitor.
I often use Photoshop away from my studio so this is a big problem. PShop is essentially unusable unless connected to an external monitor.
Is this a known issue?
Any workarounds?
Any ideas?
There is a previous discussion on this topic from January 2012, but it remains open and unanswered. Hoping there are some new ideas. Thanks for the help.

The MacOS still thinks the second display is available and valid -- so Photoshop puts the documents on the last used display and the OS doesn't give any errors.
Once the OS notices the change in display configuration, Photoshop should go back to the main display and force images and dialogs back to the main display.
Applications rely on the OS for the display configuration, and sometimes the OS gets confused or holds onto outdated configurations a bit too long...

Imqsvcadmin.exe does not display GUI under Windows XP

Main Viewer Window does not display correctly

Ever since I upgraded to Aperture 3.3 through 3.4.1, the main viewer window does not display correctly. Everything is justified to the right of the screen. When viewing images, the are not in teh center, they are over to the right. I can't even see the import controls when trying to import... actually I can't even press the import button or add metada. I am really in a bad position here. Need help with this... anyone out there have a solution please? my clients are waiting for their photos. Yikes!

RH7- Insert action does not display window to select the file.

I have a nightmare situation with RH7 with no clue to resolve. What are my options to fix this
I am having trouble with robohelp, selecting insert action does not display the pop up window. This prevents functions such as inserting images & files, importing files and creating hyperlinks to documents created in word, frame maker.
when I perform this action, the pop up window appears virtually but is not visible to make the selection and RH freezes.
I have to end the process or press esc to find some work around - so far none available
Please help.

Welcome to the community.
Have you recently gone from a dual monitor setup to a single monitor? When this happens, RH can sometimes keep tossing dialog boxes over where it thinks the second monitor is. I typically use a program called ForceWindowVisible (get it here) to push wandering dialogs back into view. Give that a try and see if it works. Hope this helps,

Groupwise 7 Rule Name does not display Windows 2008 R2

Under tools and rules on a windows 2008 R2 server the rule name does not display. Any ideas on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

Windows Phone 8.1 xaml, c# ComboBox does not display selection when first item is selected from full page list.

I have 3 comboboxes on a xaml page and most of the time when I select the first item on the full page list displayed when the number of items are > 5, the screen returns to the combobox and the box is blank. The combobox.SelectedItem is valued but it
does not display. This does not happen every time and I have seen this using the emulator and my windows 8.1 phone. If I select any other item in the list they always display but when I go back and select the first item the box is blank.
Does anyone know what I could be doing that is causing this?

Thanks for your help. When I run the code below and the page is displayed, I select an item from the page list and it displays fine and then I select the first item from the page list and I do not see that selected item in the box.
If I remove the SelectedIndex=0 it all works fine except I do not have an item selected for the initial display. Below should show problem and should work copy/paste in universal blank app.

Windows Explorer for Windows 7.1 32-bit does not display pdf title

Using Adobe Reader XI version 11.0.08 the pdf title does not display in the Title column of Windows Explorer. This worked under Windows XP 32-bit
How is this fixed?

Text does not display in address bar or any windows I open

Text does not display when typing in address bar. When I open a window (eg Edit > Preferences) no text is displayed within that either.
Problem has persisted through Ubuntu 12.04 (possibly 11.10) to 13.04. Has also remained after re-installs, both through use of Software Centre, and through Terminal commands, and after running purge of all firefox content.
Running Firefox as root using gksu command also doesnt help.

Have finally solved,
1st checked default system fonts available using unity-tweak
Then went to ~.mozilla/firefox and found prefs.js file, deleted everything to do with fonts and families, saved and restarted.
The odd thing is how this file persisted despite removing and purging firefox.

T500 Windows 7 - Screen does not display - Switchable Graphics Problem

Hello,
I have a T500 and I recently upgraded to Win7. Evrething was fine until I tried to install the drivers for the graphic cards and went on in BIOS and selected to use the integrated graphic card option. After reboot everything turns on except for the display. The fan works, everything looks OK but the screed does not display anything. I even tried to boot directly from the Win7 disk and install a fresh copy (maybe it would have been a better idea to do that in the first place) but it's the same, nothing happens. I don't know what else to try.

UPDATE: I just came back after a visit to the apple service provider here in New Delhi. They have replaced the logic board on my macbook pro and guess what? the situation is still the same. No difference what so ever as far as the screen resolution is concerned. I can still see those black bars in the exact same places i.e. the right hand side as well as on the top of the screen. Even the size of the black bars are still the same.
I am so upset right now. After trying my best in order to solve this problem I went to the AASP with high hopes. I was very confident that after replacing the logic board this annoying problem would go away but unfortunately that's not the case. Even the Apple Engineer was clueless on how to solve this problem.
I think I'll call apple care and speak to the customer relations regarding a replacement.
If any of you can come up with a solution to this problem please let me know.

Reminders.app does not display anymore

I haven't found any answer to my new problem.
The app Reminders (Reminders.app) doesn't display anymore.
To be more precise :
- the icon is animated on the dock
- the menu is there but no window opens
- Cmd-0 does not display the main window
- I cannot create a new entry
I checked and repaired the permissions, the HDD, ... without succeeding.
I tried to start ./Reminders in the terminal in /Applications/Reminders.app/Contents/MacOS and I got this error message :

Because it works fine on iCloud.com and iOS7 I tried to :
- disable iCloud/Reminders in the Preference panel -> then an new and empty Reminders window appears when I start it again (and no error message in the terminal)
- close the Reminders app and enable iCloud -> the app does not appear
- colse the app, modify some entries using iCloud or iOS, disable iCloud, enable iCloud, and try to start again without succeeding.
Does anyone have an idea ?

I had the same problem and solved it by quitting Reminders on the iMac and doing this on my iPhone (which is synced to iCloud along with my iMac):
1) deleting old (completed) reminders so that each list had only reminders less that one year old, and
2) adding a new list and creating a few entries
And waiting until that synced to iCloud.
When I did that all my lists and entries reappeared on the iMac Reminders app! I'm gussing there was either a corrupt entry somewhere or the lists of entries had just got to be too long. Even after the deletions, I still have several hundred completed items, which I want to keep as checklists that I re-use. Doing the above was much better then totally wiping all lists (as some have suggested) or more drastic ideas like deleting pref files.
I also had to widen the Reminders window to allow it to show the Sidebar as well as enabling Sidebar in the View menu.
I did not disable iCloud syncing on the iMac but that would not hurt as an initial step before doing the above also.
