Annotation while presenting in Keynote on iPad

With full disclosure that I'm a total newbie on Keynote (have been building sophisticated PPTs for YEARS), I want to be able to present from my iPad (connected to projector) and annotate with a stylus. I've seen some notes here about secondary apps after exporting your keynote to a PDF and other machinations that seem a) ridiculous on their face because I'll lose the powerful animations within the presentation; and b) insane because if it's something I can do on a PC with a Windows Tablet PC, I should definitely be able to do on an Apple product.
Any ideas how to actually make this happen? If it's not possible, I hope the product people at Apple are paying attention to this. Thanks to all who have any help to offer!

No I did not mean to say anything other than what was posted.
There is nothing critical or insulting about anyone or anything in my post, rather it was a quick, short, factual reply. Why would you think so when I took the time and trouble to locate the correct forum for you?
You would rather have no one reply to you than give you some simple help?
From my point of view, a one word reply of thanks would have been a more appropriate response from you.

Fail to import Keynote 09 presentation to Keynote for iPad

Up to now, I did not manage to import a presentation to Keynote for iPad. I already tried to simplify the presentation as much as possible (changed font to Arial, removed background, compressed embedded pictures). The presentation runs smoothly in Keynote 09 but as soon as I try to open it on the iPad, I get an error message "Unknown error". Does anybody experience the same issue? Any ideas how to proceed?
Thanks in advance - I really appreciate any hint as I love the iPad and using my presentations on it is a core application for me.

Thomas!! Great to see you here, as I was looking into this exact problem! My sig other got it working after having this issue for a while:
She was able to succeed simply by opening the keynote file on her Mac, then doing a 'save as' to get a fresh copy and a new name. Note that we tried just copying the file to a new location first without success.
Importing the fresh file worked perfectly. Hope this helps you and others... Hope all's well with you! =)

While presenting with keynote I clicked the presentation manager on my Mac book air and the presentation on the wall flipped to my scree and the presentation manager is displayed by the projector. How the **** do I flip them back?

While presenting in keynote I inadvertently flipped the presentation display on my screen with the playing presentation on the wall through the projector. Can't figure out how to flip it back. Help

I know this is a simple question, and I have a work around by just emailing the file to me, but I want to know how I can see the file size as I work on the file within keynote.....on the iPad.

Select the album, Select all photos in the album, then click on the info button. Number of photos and total size are on top of info pane.

Tranfering video clips for Keynote in iPad

Hello:
         I have multiple video clips in Keynote in ultiple presentations (A, B, C, D, etc.). For each presentation, I have created seperate folders with video clips (e.g., A. Video Clips, B.Video Clips, etc.)
         I read that I need to pass the video clips vi PHOTO app through iTune. However, when I did it for presentation B, it would not work. It incorporated some of the videos from A but not all of B even though at the time of synching it indicated corrected number of files had been transferred.
        What am I doing wrong? How to transfer videos for multiple presentations for Keynote into iPad? I bought the book by Tom Negrino but it is of no help.

into Keynote, the entire original video moves, not

Dude! You keep saying that!
iMovie edits movies. Your results (still seeing deleted footage) are not correct or usual. You have to 'Share' the finished edit out to Quicktime. Have you tried that yet?
Stay out of the media folders where the dv files are. And don't drag and drop the clips out of the iMovie window.
Go to the file menu and select share. In that menu you have a lot of options. Check it out.
iMovie is the perfect option for getting video into Keynote.

Is there any way to view a keynote presentation and the presenter notes on the iPad at the same time? My professors at school have keynote presentations and i take notes during class with the presenter notes feature. I was wondering if there was any way i can view both of them on the same screen on my iPad while studying? This way I could see their slides along with the notes i take during class.

I would like to know how to send a presentation from keynote of may IMAC to my IPAD. The problem is that I have Iwork09 and in the IPAD is not possible to open it because it says that it can not open Iwork 09. So how can I do it?

Numbers for iPad will not allow me to import my Numbers '08 worksheets into it. Ironically, Numbers for iPad will import .xls files. So, in Numbers '08 I exported to XLS. Transferred it to my iPad, and opened it with Numbers for iPad.
Seeing as how Apples applications for iPad are pretty limited, I'm guessing you can export your Keynote presentation to PPT and then import the PPT into Keynote for iPad; and that any loss you experience in exporting your presentation can't be played on Keynote for iPad anyway...

Interactive presentation with hyperlinks on iPad (Keynote,ppt)

since 4 month I am trying to find a solution to this problem (See title). How is it possible that Apple can´t bring out an update for that? This is in my opinion one of the most important functions especially for companies who are presenting their work on iPads, having 50 slide presentations and need to switch from slide 34 to slide 4 and back. Anyways, it makes no sense having keynote without being able to use hyperlinks on the ipad...
*When is Apple bringing out an update?!* PLEASE APPLE! Is there any other possibility to make interactive presentation work on the ipad, keeping the hyperlinks and all the animations the way you created them on the mac or pc?

When importing keynote presentations from ituns to ipad, do they occupy double the space on the ipad?

When I import presentations from mac to ipad I put them first on ipad thorough itunes when the ipad is connected, then from the keynote app I import the presentations. After can I delete the presentations from itunes? and if i don't will they occupy double the space on my ipad?

Is anyone having issues importing Keynote presentation from imac to ipad?

I paid a company to do a presentation for me, it was created in powerpoint, i downloaded Keynote for mac to import it into keynote on ipad,
problem is that it does not recognise some of the fonts and the sizing is different, the base layout is quite good and it works for us.
any thoughts on how to fix?

How to use Airplay in Keynote with iPad 1

The new update for Keynote for iOS (1.5) says that they now added AirPlay support. They didn't say this will only be for iPad2 or iPhone 4S where you could mirror anyway.
So:
How can I enable Airplay on my iPad1 in Keynote, so that the presentation will show up on my AppleTV, and I can view the presenter notes on my iPad (exactly the way my VGA-cable works, I just want to work without that cord.)

As I said I do NOT want to use an iPad2. I know that I can enable AirPlayMirroring in the Taskbar, and then start a keynote presenation afterwards.
My question was how to do this on the iPad1. It doesn't support AirPlay-Mirroring, so it doesn't show me the Airplay button at all at any time, although Keynote is started and running. Since Apple did't say, it this feature will only be for those with AirPlayMirroring capabilties (iPad2 or iPhone4s and above), there needs to be a way how to start an AirPlayKeynotePresentation without the Airplaybutton in the Multitaskingbar.

Movies in MS PowerPoint are not shown in Keynote on iPad

Hey Users,
I did a Presentation in Microsoft PowerPoint (.pptx) with embedded Movies (I tried .MOV, .wmv, .mp4, .avi). Then I synchronized the .pptx-document in iTunes and imported it in Keynote (on iPad). After importing the file I got an error message that movies are not supported and were removed.
Has anybody an idea or a solution (programm) why i can't play movies in Keynote from .pptx-files?

Portable Document Format (PDF) was designed for cross-platform viewing support. PowerPoint was not. You may wish to reconsider PDF as it enjoys near universal support as an ISO standard.
