Annoying data transfer problem

I am currently set up with Broadband. My internet connection speed seems to be very slow, but only with certain actions, such as browsing, it hangs for a while and reminds me of dialup - that's bad. Once it seems to "access" a site, it then displays the page at typical Broadband efficiency. When I stream something, or download files, the speed is fine. This happens with Firefox as well - so I am not sure what the source of the problem could be. The connection light on my router is working, I can download files at a decent speed, it's just actually browsing it's very slow.
I have found where I am in London the speed is never as fast as advertised, but lately this has been extremely slow. The reason I post this here under Safari is because for other download uses, the speed is fine, or at least the usual.
I could try calling my phone company, but I thought I would start here for any ideas. This just started suddenly about a month ago.

Hello,
I have a connection from my provider using the Cisco 575 LRE, configured for 10 Mbit/s. I don't know the make and model of the switch but I assume it is likely a Cisco device also.
I'm experiencing problems with the LRE connection whenever big files are being transfered simultaneously in both down- and upstream directions to/from a PC. The data transfer may slow down to a stall and all WAN connectivity may become momentarily blocked. Transfer speeds and reliability always seem good as long as big files don't get transferred in both directions at the same time.
What could cause this problem? My service provider says that they see no problems in their end and they are unable to help me. I don't know how extensively they have looked into any possibility of problems though.
I've tried different 100Mbit network cards, replacing ethernet and phone cabling and changing duplex settings and MTU, but nothing has completely solved the problem so far. Forcing network cards to full-duplex does prevent the worst slowdown and hanging described above, but limits upload speed to around half of the maximum available.
Not sure if this is meaningful here, but my service provider claims they have the switch my CPE is connected to configured for full-duplex, but when I have a PC network card set to autonegotiation, it will always result in a 100baseTX half-duplex link with the 575 - this is the case where I get maximum speed in either one direction but also the mentioned problems with bi-directional transfer.
I don't know what more I can do to the PCs here to solve this problem and I don't have access to configuring the CPE device, because I don't own the switch it is connected to. I can only think of trying to ask my ISP to read this thread if someone has a possible solution that requires actions on their behalf.

The problem, as you describe it, is most likely cabling ...it could be the cable between your PC(s) and the 575 (most likely), or between the 575 and the switch.
What you are seeing are the effects of crosstalk (signal from one pair interfereing with the other pair), that's why you see it in full-duplex mode and not (so much) in half-duplex (with half-duplex, only one side talks at a time).
The only part you would be likely be able to change would be the connections on your side of the 575 ... so, try another cable; preferably a store-bought cable and in good shape (twisted, crushed, kinked, stretched, and poorly constructed cables are a Very Bad Thing).
LRE was designed to handle voice-grade cabling, but if you're at near the extreme length, you may see some degradation.

Hi Experts,
I have two logical systems namely cln 000 and t90clnt090 assigned to clients 000 and 800 respectively,
and i am transferring data from 800 to 000.
My message type is matmas and i am tranferring data using tcode bd10,but while i am transferring the data my outbound idoc shows the status of 03 in the sending system but in the receiving system i am getting a status of 51 and when i acces the application log it says something like this
The material T-BW07-28 does not exist or is not activated
Message no. M3305
Diagnosis
You wanted to display or process data on the material T-BW07-28. However, the material does not yet exist; that is, it has not yet been created, or its creation has been scheduled, but the material has not yet been activated.
Procedure
Check and correct your entry.
Now what can i do to solve this problem.

Please be informed that we cannot create materials through idocs. See you are able to transfer data through ALE from one system to another, even though that material is not present in receiving system, only thing is that data cannot be processed successfully,there are some conditions which are required to be met for the data to be processed successfully.
Like in your case when you are trying to send data for a material which is only present in sending system, still idoc is generated, it contains data and you can see that data in receiving system in we02 through inbound idoc, but in inbound system the idoc which carries data cannot be processed sucessfully due to inconsistencies in data.
It is not only material number that you are trying to send when you send data by using message type MATMAS, but it also carries other properties of material like material type, material group etc depending on which basic type you are using (for eg. MATMAS05). You can see the documentation for basic type through transaction WE60. So if you want the data related to that material number to be processed successfully, at least that material should be present in inbound system and material should be active.
For the other error which you are getting while creating material directly through MM01
The field MARA-RMATP is not ready for input and was therefore not initialized.

I dont have much idea about this but as far as i think you should try using BDC or using BAPI (BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA).
Again for the data to be processed successfully , you should fix all data related problems then try transferring data from one system to another.

Canon EOS Utility, 5D3 and Mountain Lion (10.8.2): connection/data transfer problems

Hi all,
a few days ago I bought the 5D3, which replaced the 5D2.
I'm experiencing problems in communication between the camera and Mac Book Pro (17" - i7 - 8GB) using EOS Utility (v. 2.12.3) as well as Lightroom 4.3: when I try to transfer photos to my Mac, sometimes the transfer works, sometimes it freezes and crashes (EOS Utility crashes, while LR at the end says he's not able to read the files).
Strangely this what happens randonmly and if the storage format is raw, or if it is the raw along with jpg, if I use only jpg seems to happen a lot less often.
Today I tryed to do same things (photo transfer and thetering) using using a PC with windows 7 x64 with the same softwares (Lightroom 4.3 and EOS Utility 2.12.3): everything worked flawless.
I'm inclined to think that problems are due to incompatibility issues between Mountain Lion and camera firmware's data-transfer protocols...
Have any of you encountered similar problems?

Hey Daniele - I am in the *exact* same boat as you - RAW transfers work a little, and then EOS Utility freezes. I hope someone has a solution!

My nokia n 95 data transfer problems

hi guys i just got this n 95 a week ago and i am trying to transfer video files to my nokia phone
but when i connect it to usb and select "data transfer mode"
its giving me a message on my phone
"USB data transfer mode activated. Mass memory may not be used during this time"
and i am not able to save files to my phone
when i save it its showivg me on my computer when i open "Removable disk D" drive my files are in phone like the vedeo file but when i disconnect the phone and go to my videos its empty
i just dontknow what should i do should i return the phone or what

Hi,
maybe format of video files you've copied to the device memory are not readable by phone. Did you convert it using Nokia Video Manager (part of Nokia PC Suite) on 3gp or mp4.
And if you connect phone with PC use PC Suite mode instead of the USB. You will have acces to all yours phone memories

i have a problem to transfer docx, xlsx and so on with gui_upload.
With open dataset it worked, but i will transfer files(docx, xlsx ..) from frontend with gui_upload. It dosn´t work.
Have anyone a idea?

Try with different variations for 'FILETYPE' i.e (BIN,ASC,DAT) and 'HAS_FIELD_SEPARATOR' parameter.

When i run the FM directly the cursor value (S_CURSOR) is displayed as 3850 and when i try to transfer using FETCH NEXT to a internal table (E_T_DATA) 498 entries populated but if i open the table all lines are blank. Data transfer problem in BW

Dear all,
BW system is extracting data from R3 system.
Steps:-
1. BW process chain starts for extracting data from R3.it will schedule a
background job in R3.
2. IDOCs are created in R3 by this job
3. These IDOCs are transferred via tRFC (tcode SM58) to BW system
4. The queues are lying In the outbound queue(SM58) of R3, and
scheduler runs every 60 seconds to send data from R3 to BW
Problem : Schedular is not sending data and the Idocs are in 03
Status (checked in BD87) lying in queue.
Temporary solution:We find out which process chains are not executing and manually executing corresponding LUWs in Tcode SM58.
Can somebody hint how to sort out this issue.

Hi Pankaj,
The tRFC's execution is performed by dialog work processes in R/3.
One solution could be to increase the count of dialog processes.
Also you may be interested to reduce the size of each packet in BW from infopackage.

User data transfer problem

I used the migration assistant successfully to transfer from a powerbook G4 with Tiger to a new macbook pro with leopard. Only it didn't transfer all of my data correctly (ie music, documents, photos, movies) applications transfered fine. So I then tried to manually copy data from the old powerbook which shows as firewire drive on the macbook pro desktop. Now that drive shows the user account folders for desktop, documents, photos, movies as empty. I even tried to hook up my other firewire drive which I use as backup, to then transfer things over. It also showed as empty. I know that my home folder is not empty on either the powerbook or the separate physical fw drive because all of the data is still there when I look for it without the connection to the new macbookpro. What is going on here? and how can I transfer my data without starting all over again (ie reinstall of leopard?)

It sounds like it created a new user account. Under /Users you should have "yourname" and "Shared" folders. At this point in time, I think your best course of action would be a re-install but you can try to salvage it by manually copying, Here is a user tip I wrote for where important files and folders are stored.

160 GB Ipod Classic - data transfer problems

Hi I have a 160 GB Ipod Classic that I have been using to transfer large amounts of data files back and forth between home and work. I had a PC laptop at home and originally had the Ipod formatted for PC, but recently bought a new Mac Book Pro and reformatted it to MAC. Now when I try to hook up to a PC at work it will not recognize the drive and wants to format it to PC.
Is there anyway around this? I could reformat it back to PC and still use it on the MAC, but I like to have it formatted to MAC so that software updates occur when I hook it up. I am trying to make the jump and live in Mac-Utopia...:)
Also, I now have the Itunes library transfered to the MAC
Any help out there would be much appreciated.

Data transfer problems from PC to M125

I have been reading posts all morning and trying to sync a Palm M125 to my laptop running VISTA. I have down loaded the Palm Desktop 6.2 and HotSync Manager update and also the Pimlico Palm Hot Sync Setup but I still can not get the data to transfer. The device syncs up and appears to go through all the files and then no data. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Data transfer problem between Oracle 9 and Oracle 8

We have two enviroments one in oracle 9 and other is oracle 8, both are on different unix servers.
There is a DBlink for Oracle 8 on the oracle 9 database. Now when we try to select any data from oracle 9 and insert into oracle 8 using the dblink all the VARCHAR or CHAR values are going as null.
For example if we try the following sql:
INSERT INTO oracle8table@dblink (col1_varchar,col2_num)
SELECT col1_varchar,col2_num FROM oracle9table
all the col1_varchar are populated as NULL, however the col2_num is getting populated correctly.
The data type of both the columns are identical.
Any help on this highly appreciated.

How about posting the table structures just to make your post more clearer and avoid ambiguity ?
Just a matter of thought it is always better to pull the data rather than push the data. For e.g. in oracle you cannot use direct path insert while pushing the data but you can use direct path insert while pulling data.

MacBook Air data transfer problem

Just got a new MacBook Air and am transferring all data from old macbookair. For some reason it has resent some old emails seemingly at random. Have taken off line and deleted everything in junk, trash, drafts, etc. any idea what's happening? I cannot work out what has been sent and I am too scared to go back online in case it happens again.

You can simply take mail offline while keeping everything else online ...
From Mail's menu, go to Mailbox > Take All Accounts Offline

I had a Blackberry 9790 with contacts ect saved on the Blackberry Desktop. I now have a Z10 which is not supported on the Blackberry Desktop for the 9790. I had to download Blackberry link. I no longer have the 9790 and can't work out how to get the data stored on the BB desktop to the Blackberry Link in order to send to the Z10. Any help please.

Problems with Photoshop performance and data transfer speed on iMac

Two months ago, I started noticing slow performances using Photoshop (above all using clone stamp tool) on my 27" iMac (late 2012). I did the AHT and I found that 8GB of 32GB RAM were broken.
I removed them but the problem didn't disappered, I also noticed that data transfer speed (both copy and paste from/to internal HD and from CF card/external HD) was really slow.
I tried many solutions suggested by Apple support, none of them worked out. At the end, I tried uninstalling and re-installing Photoshop: no more problems!!!
10 days ago, I received a new 8GB RAM module and so I installed it back... suddenly, the problem came back, I tried re-installing again Photoshop but the problem, this time, still persist!
Does anyone had the same experience? All other CC programs work well (LR, AE, Premiere...)

what seems to be very strange to me is how data trasnfer speed could be affected!
(just to say, I've already tried reset of SMC and PRAM, I've tried with different accounts and I've also re-installed the OS, next step would be formatting the disk and installing the OS from zero)
