Annoying hand tool issu: image keeps moving up and down when I drop the mouse!
Hi everybody!
I tried to install the latest pacth but that doesn't fix my problem. (photoshop CS5 12.04 MAC)
As i said in the title: when I'm under hand tool mode or when I hold the spacebar down to get the hand tool, the image mouves around and just continue to glide as if it wears ice skates!
The little problem slow down my work so much and I can't bear this any more....
Any idea about this?
Under Photoshop>Preferences>General, uncheck Enable Flick Panning and see if that makes a difference.
(from photoshop cs6, but cs5 has the same option)

Satellite A215-S4757: screen started shaking, moving up and down
I purchased my laptop about a year and a half ago and had no major problems till this week.
It began a couple of days ago when the image on the screen started shaking, moving up and down and lines started appearing on the screen and going away. I restarted the computer but the screen did not want to power on. After a few tries it eventually came and worked fine for a while before it began doing the same thing again. This happened a few times until yesterday when no matter how many times i tried it did not come on.
I do not think the problem is only with the screen because I have the laptop connected to my TV through the VGA cable and the image on there did the same thing once as well. Also even though the laptop powers up and the power light lights up, the words SATELLITE do not light up unless the screen comes on.
Also the CAPS LOCK key has a light on it that should be lighting up(when pressed) as well if everything is working fine and it does not light up either.
Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?
Thank you.You make a good point but I had a notebook from an other manufacture before this laptop and I kept it going for over a year with several problems, each by itself bad enough to stop it from running. I am not saying I have any kind of skill or expertise but with some advice and assistance I think I can fix this myself. I have read some things online that point to the inverter and I have also found instructions on how to take the laptop apart. I wouldn't be so set against going to the ASP if there were any within 100 miles of me but there aren't. For now I'll have to keep looking.

Re: Pages - Please tell me how I can keep the page from moving up and down so much. It's irritating. The page I'm writing on wants to bounce several times before it finally stops...like when you move the cursor, sometimes the page bounces. Thanks for any help you can give.

1. No matter what mouse you have, you will get a "bounce" if you bang into the limit. If you scroll gently into the limit and then back off, you will not see the same effect, or at least not the same degree. Check to see if your tracking speeds are similar with the two pointing devices. I think this will have more influence than whether the device is wireless or not.
2. If you don't want anything to change in Mail when you boot up, I think you should just leave it open when you Shut Down the computer. With Lion, your Mail app should come back in the same state as when you Shut Down.

You said you have disabled all add-ons and plug-ins. This may be a repeat exercise but can you please test for the problem when Firefox is in safe mode. This disables plug-ins as well but also applies various other changes. See here for details:

If the problem still appears in Safe Mode then it may be that there is still some part of Hola that is causing the problem. You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

michael.If you have your iPad connected to the charger it could be the new "Hey Siri" feature that allows you to use Siri without pressing the home button. Do you have a radio on or are people talking ? Go to settings> general> Siri> Allow"Hey Siri"> off.

On my Mac desktop I must have changed a setting so that now when I move the mouse the open windows fly off to the sides and I can't see them. They come back when I move the mouse, but it is so annoying. How can I make the windows not disappear like that?
Click on the Hot Corners.. button and look at the four definitions. In the picture below, if you moved the cursor to the right top of the screen, it would slide all the applications off the screen as you describe and show the desktop. Set it to "-" to deactivate.

Satellite A300 screen keeps jumping up and down

What is on my screen keeps jumping up and down, any thoughts, is this a problem with video card in Satellite A300?I have tried to install the display driver from the European website. During uninstallation I got a messgae to say failures occurred during uninstallation, and then during installation I got the message of Install package failure!
I have my external monitor now connected to laptop, but in personalising display settings, I cannot get my computer to recognise that I have two monitors now, as both keep coming up with number 1 (Multiple Monitors) on ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650, and they both have that degraded view, a bit like in safe mode.
So in checking of device manager under display adapters I have:
ATI Mobility Radeon HD3650
and under Sound, video and game controllers I have:
High Definition Audio Device
Realtek High Definition Audio
In this whole process I deleted a file that was previously here called
ATI HMD...
should I resinstall this?
So I'm not sure if the new display driver has been installed? help. -

I am using Adobe Pro 11 and on opening a pdf I am getting error 'Insufficient Data for an Image'. Please help and provide a workaround if the solution not there.
I have already set the preferences to for page view to low zoom settings, and page fit view settings, but it never opens the pdf. Please check and provide a solution asap.

Instead of getting a wireless card for the Mac Pro, you might want to consider getting an 802.11ac wireless bridge device that would enable you to connect more than one device to it by Ethernet cable and to eventually take advantage of the faster 802.11ac wireless standard.

My iPad is not charging when I pluged in and its keep turning off and on (it just shows the apple logo). I even changed the charger so what else can I do to start my iPad?
FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY. -
My iphone keeps blanking out and then when I press then home button it tells me the battery is dead. it has happened to me at 30%, but today it was at 71%, is there a fix for this?

does anyone know why my iphone keeps switching all of my alert tones and ringtones assigned to contacts? i restored it and it still keeps doing it and now when ever i get a txt or a phone call the tones just sound terrible. how do i fix this?
Your only chance is setting it up as new device without using the latest backup afterwards, which you already did.

I imagine a ton of people are attempting to activate after the update, and the server is getting overloaded. Simple patience, maybe keep trying, and if possible, try a little later. Think of it as all those people lining up at Apple Stores + about a million more.
