Answer change email not being sent

I'm trying to change the answers listed in my account because I forgot them, but when I request resetting the security info to my email I don't get the email and I have tried several times. Help? Thanks in advance.

This problem has nothing to do with her hardware or the Mail application.
If a message cannot be successfully sent for whatever reason, it will remain in the Outbox mailbox and not be sent.
A message moved to the account's Sent mailbox indicates the message was successfully sent by the SMTP server used to send messages with the account but is no guarantee the message will be delivered to the recipient's incoming mail server or be accepted by the recipient's incoming mail server.
Generally, this type of problem is at the recipient's incoming mail server - the recipient's incoming mail server may be blocking all messages received from the domain for the sender's email account/address (the portion of the email address after the @ sign or blocking a range of IP addresses for which the sender is included, etc.
The next place to check is the provider for the sender's SMTP server used to send messages with this account which is usually the email account provider but not always.
My .Mac account is my primary email account but I use my ISP's SMTP server to send messages with my .Mac account when connected to the internet at home - not .Mac's SMTP server.

    HI:
We have set up Critical Action alerts for a couple of transactions and while the on-line alert logs are being generated correctly, the alert email is not being sent to the Risk Owner.
Does anyone know where I can trouble shoot this issue?
    Thanks,

    Hi AlpeshMargaret,
Where are the instructions for setting up the SMTP server in visual admin for the purpose of Alert Generation? I am not seeing this in the Configuration Guide. Could you point me to the correct documentation?
    Thanks!

  • Hotmail emails not being sent

I went through my junk email folder (msn.com) last week and mistakenly clicked on a link which looked like it was sent from best buy.  I noticed after it was too late that it was not from best buy.  This scared me so I cleaned out some of my contacts- now I am noticing that emails I am sending out are not being sent.
    My questions:
    1) can someone hack into my msn email account even though I use an ipad/safari?
    2) when I cleaned out my contacts, did this prevent my emails from being sent?
    3) is it possible for a hacker to divert my sent emails?
    Thank you!

Who is your email provider? Is it one of the free services or a work account?
Do the emails show up in your inbox when you check from a computer?
Do you have any filtering rules set up on your email account that would automatically direct the emails to a folder other than your inbox?

  • SOST error 802 - emails not being sent as recipient unknown

    Hello Experts,
Similar issue has been posted earlier but suggested solutions are not solving my problem.
When user sends mail (having .xls attachment) to XXX@YYY .com (an external email id), the email is being sent.
When the user tries sending a similar mail again, the mail ends with error 802 (recipient unknown error) for SAME recipient.
The mails are being sent sometimes but sometimes they end with above error.
When I try re-sending failed email, it sends out successfully.
Can you please throw some light on this as to why emails are failing only sometimes?
    Thanks.

    Hi Anisha,
I'm facing the same issue. Please help on this and kindly suggest necessary steps to be taken.
    Thanks......

  • Shared With Emails not being sent

When we try share a document with users(using Shared with), the emails are not being sent, though permissions are assigned.
The emails are sent for few users, but it fails for most of the users. The logs indicate that the emails are sent successful.
Our SP server is on the Azure platform and we have Office 365 email accounts. I have browsed through few articles which suggest that the users shouldn't have an on-premise mail box , so tried with users who do not have on premise mail boxes, but no luck.

    Hi,
Check if an email alias is already placed to user account or not. If not you can see below URL on how to do that and try sending an email now.

  • 'requestblock' emails not being sent

I had a similar post on the ticket confirmation auto response email. It is not a question of emails not being generated at all - the order confirmation mail is being generated fine so I know the messaging is working to some degree, but I have created a form using requestblock.ascx and although the records are generated in the Contact log in the WT db there are no outgoing emails created.
As before the only evidence of failure of any kind is:
    1) Event Viewer Application Log : SAPB1WTMS Thread was being aborted at NetPoint.MessgingService.NPMessagingThread.Work()
    2) Webtools log Message type I module sender SendingQueue is disabled
    I am using SP01 PL01 for this
Can anyone offer any suggestions as I am sure someone is successfully using the requestblock.ascx to generate emails

I have noticed that in Config>messaging I did not have SendQueue ticked.
Having ticked it I got the missing mail messages created

  • Why is email not being sent through my default account?

When I send it email it is sent through a gmail account that I have set up only to get calendar information.  I deleted the gmail account then restarted the device, but still got the same result when I tried sending the another email.  How do I change this?

        Hi Marrelam!
Oh my! I am sorry to hear that your device is not sending emails. I know how important this feature is, and I will certainly get this resolved for you. Is this only your MSN account that is not sending mail? Have tried using gmail?  There is an Hotmail application in the Google Play Market that can be downloaded as well. You can also check the Outgoing E-mail settings on the device to make sure you have the correct setup of the email account:
    Outgoing Mail Server Name: smtp.live.com
port 587 (either SSL or TLS depending on client being used)
Username requires full email address (e.g. [email protected])
Password is the Windows Live ID password.
    Keep us posted!

  • Invite Email not being sent from iCal from a Google Apps calendar

    Hello,
I am running Mac OS X 10.6.5, iCal 4.0.4, and am attempting to do the following from a Google Apps calendar I have setup in iCal. Please note that it's not gmail, it's Google Apps. If that makes a difference. That being said...
I am trying to create a meeting invite from iCal. I am able to create the invite and add attendees with no problem. When I hit send (from iCal), the invitees do not receive an email notification of the event, but it does appear their calendar (both in iCal and via Google Calendar on the web). I need an email to be sent to the invitees that they have been invited to a meeting, not just to have it appear on their calendars.
When I create the meeting invite via Google Calendar on the Web the invitees do receive an email notification (as specified in their calendar preferences). The issue only happens when the meeting invite is created in iCal.
When an invitee accepts or declines a meeting via iCal I receive an acceptance or declining email. Just not when the meeting invite is sent.
Also, I am able to create a meeting on one of the "On My Computer" calendars in iCal, invite people, and a meeting invitation is sent as expected.
And again, the invitees have notification of meeting invites turned on in their calendar settings (as is shown by the fact that when the invite is sent out via Google Calendar on the Web they receive an email with the invite).
Thanks! Any assistance would be awesome.
    Aaron

That was actually my post on the Google forums
Here is what I have found so far (and hopefully some of my assumptions are correct, because we're making the full switch to Google Apps this weekend and I am assuming it will work after this). This is long, but I'm trying to be thorough. Also note that I have updated to 10.6.6 since the time I first posted my last message.
We are currently piloting Google Apps, so our primary domain (which I will refer to from now on as domain.com) still points to our old exchange servers. Mail is currently being delivered to our Google Apps pilot accounts the following way:
    1. User sends an email to [email protected]. This email is delivered to our old Exchange servers.
    2. Once the email is received on our old Exchange servers it gets forwarded to our Google Apps test domain (gtest.domain.com).
This seems to be an important piece of the puzzle as our primary domain (domain.com) shows up on the Google Apps for Admin dashboard as improperly setup (which is correct, because we're currently piloting)
So, in iCal I have my Google Apps account setup (I'm one of the pilot users) the following way. I added the Account as Google calendar in iCal, but once the account shows up it shows up as a CalDAV account.
    Under the account information tab:
    CalDAV
    Description: [email protected]
    User name: [email protected]
    Password: my password
Under the server settings tab (*NOTE: these were entered in automatically when I setup the calendar as a Google calendar)
    Server address: www.google.com
Server path: the path to my calendar.
    Use SSL is checked
Use Kerberos v5 is NOT checked
So, during my testing I was sending meeting invites from people who were in the Google Apps pilot to other people who were in the Google Apps pilot. When I was doing that, no invitations were getting sent.
I created a new email account on our exchange server ([email protected]) but did NOT set it up to be a part of the Google Apps pilot (this means that emails were not being forwarded from [email protected] to [email protected]). Doing this successfully delivered all invites, cancellations, and meeting updates from iCal!
From what I can tell there must be something going on (probably my own fault) when a calendar invite is sent from my Google Apps account, through our old Exchange system, and then back to our Google Account. My assumption is it has something to do with the fact that our MX records for domain.com currently point to our old exchange servers, and the MX records for gtest.domain.com point to the Google Apps servers. It may also have something to do with the SPF record which only allows emails from domain.com to be sent from our Exchange servers.
Those are just guesses though as I am not very knowledgeable in that area.
I hope this helps and I would love to hear about anyone else working on this issue.

  • Job Status emails not being sent

    Hello,
I'm hoping to find some help here after searchs of the forum and google did not find a solution.
Since yesterday I ceased receiving "Job Status" email messages when I use ePrint. The jobs do print on my HP Officejet Pro 8500A, and the "Recent Print Jobs" list in the ePrintCenter is up-to-date. I made sure that under "ePrint Settings" (on the ePrintSenter webpage) all the little boxes near the allowed sender's email addresses are ticked, indicating that job status emails should be sent. I tried restarting the printer - all without any change.
The only thing I changed yesterday was to install the "HP Printer Control" app on my iPhone and start using it. Interesting the ePrint job list there is empty...
I really like getting these verification emails. Is there any way to repair this?
On a separate topic - is there a limit to the number of allowed email addresses in the "allowed senders" list in the "ePrint Settings" section in the ePrintCenter? Is seems to save only 3 addresses.
    Thank you for any help,
    Danny
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

Currently HP is in the process of migrating from ePrintCenter to HP Connected, through this migration some of their services may change or no longer exist. At this time those status emails are not a feature of the service. This does not mean that it will not be re-added in the future, but I cannot make any statment verifying if this will or will not happen. I apologize for the inconvenience that this might cause, but you should be able to still see the job status by visiting the website itself.
Let me know if this is the information you are looking for and I will get right back to you as soon as I can!
    -Spencer
PS have a wonderful day and a fantastic weekend!

I've set up 10 emails for my client and we've got the activation email for all but 1, and of course it is for the president of the company. I've deleted the email and reentered it several times and even changed the email address to where the activation email should be sent, but still nothing. I need to get this figured out asap. Can someone please help.

I got this working. I removed the email again and readded it later and it finally sent the email.
