    In Adobe Photo Shop Elements 13 and Premiere Elements 13 is there any difference between the commerical product and the Teacher/Student version? I don't remember them having two versions in the past.

    Is there a difference? Sure. Will it be noticable? Maybe.
    The 9i client will use one of the 9i ODBC drivers. The 8i client will use one of the 8i ODBC drivers. The 9i drivers will generally have more bug fixes & more features than the 8i drivers. It is possible, though rare, that the 9i drivers will fix a bug whose behavior your application was dependent on and/or introduce bugs that were not in the earlier version. Of course, you have to consider the different features of the underlying clients as well-- i.e. a 9.2 Oracle client cannot communicate with a 7.3.4 database, an 8i client doesn't know how to handle data types introduced in 9i (i.e. TIMESTAMP), etc.

  • Is there any difference between amd 7640m 1GB and amd 7670m 2GB graphics performance...?

    Hello experts,
                              I have a question regarding laptop gaming performance.
    I have HP Pavilion G6 2005ax with AMD 7640g + 7670m (1.5 GB) graphics. But gaming performance is not awesome. It's not capable to run latest PC game at highest settings.
    My question is that Is there any difference between AMD 7640g + 7670m (1.5 GB) and AMD 7640g + 7670m (2.5 GB) graphics cards performance...?
    One graphics card hase 7670m 1GB and second one has 7670m 2GB graphics RAM.
    So which one perform better and why....?
    Should I upgrade AMD 7670m 1GB to AMD 7670m 2GB to play latest pc games at highest settings.....?
    Netbook configuration-----
    HP Pavilion G6 2005AX
    AMD A-8 4500m processor
    4GB RAM
    AMD 7640g + 7670m (1.5 GB)

    Hi,
    Same GPU but more RAM will perform better. You have to make decision before hand, upgrading it is a pain.

  • The are any difference between the late 2008 and early 2009 15' MacBook Pro

    Hello,
    This is my first post here so I salute you all. I would like to know if there is any difference between the 15 inch MacBook Pro produced at the end of 2008 and the one produced AFTER iLife 09 has been launched (at the beginning of 2009). I see that the declarations of conformity are a little bit different: http://images.apple.com/euro/compliance/pdf/M98EMC_IntE_EuroDoC.pdf vs http://images.apple.com/euro/compliance/pdf/M98AIntE_EuroDoC.pdf (see the Emissions and wireless radio equipment sections). I don't know if those declarations are relevant and if the fact that they complies with different standards and/or directives means that the hardware is different... What do you think?
    Just a little note: I am NOT talking about the late 2009 17' version. I'm referring only at the 15' versions produced before and after the launch of iLife09

    Hi, I think I know why Apple is able to offer 8gb ram support on the revised 2.66 MBP and not on the 2.53 or 2.4 MBP.
    Take a look at this:
    15'' 2.4-2,53 NVDA Chipset
    http://s1.guide-images.ifixit.com/igi/oEmmaxSOKDDvZfZh.large
    17'' NVDA Chipset
    http://s1.guide-images.ifixit.com/igi/SSLSgODWYbiIuTLL.large
    There are TWO different revisions. The first is B2 and the latter is B3.
    I think that the former does not support 8GB of RAM and the latter does. That explains why the 17'' has support and now the NEWs 15'' also have, Apple gave the 15'' not only a speed bump but also the newer revision of the chipset!

  • WebDynpro for Java and GuideProcedure for workflow.

    Hi All,
    I need inputs on how to create Webdynpro java screns for GP and create a workflow using them .
    I will be thankfull if someone could help to know how to send an email notification also in this workflow scenario.
    Thanks and Regards,

    Hello,
    WebDynpro Java will be 'exposed' as callable objects - these callable objects are assigned to particular actions in a business process designed. First off, read through Guided Procedures and how processes are designed.
    As for the e-mail, there's a template to send e-mails via Guided Procedures -- you can define that e-mail via a template available with a particular callable object.
    For more details on implementing the scenario, look through the context menu of this tutorial:

  • Is there any difference between a WinNT VI and a Win98 VI?

    Hello!
    I have been writing a VI using Labview 6.1 on a WinNT machine. When I build it into an application and place it on a machine running the run-time engine and Win98, it doesn't work.
    It works fine on the NT machine, but not on the 98 machine. I've read where you should be able to transfer between the different Win versions, so I'm at a loss to explain why there would be any difference in the two.
    Thanks,
    Dave Neumann
    [email protected]

    Oops. I guess my question was awfully open-ended wasn't it?
    OK, here's the deal.
    The VI I created is simply trying to toggle outputs on a digital I/O card. Nothing complicated.
    On the WinNT machine, I can toggle the outputs. When I set them high, I see a high voltage from the card. It remains high until I switch it low, when the voltage drops. This is good.
    On the Win98 machine, I attempt to toggle the output high, and I hear the click of a relay, and a short current spike, but the voltage does not remain high. When I switch back to low I get no response back at all. The voltage remains low the entire time, with a small impulse jump when I try to set it high.
    We assume that the card is switching high, then immediately switching low ag
    ain, not holding the high state.
    The card on the Win98 machine, however, DOES work with the software included with the card, so we know it can toggle it's outputs.
    The Win98 and WinNT machines are nearly identical in their components, with the exception of their OS.
    The card I'm attempting to use is a Quatech PXB-32IO/PCI I/O card.
    Hope this clears it up a little!
    Thanks for the help,

    The new update has a scroll feature on it to make it easier to search for songs on your ipod. It also lets you control the maximum volume your ipod can reach. It has better video quality as well. It lets you play games on your ipod (you have to download them from the Muisc Store)
    and thats about it! Have fun with your new ipod!

  • Differences between Headstart Oracle Designer and Headstart for Apps

    Hello,
    I would like to know where i can find an online demonstration of the product "Headtsart for Apps 11i" ?
    I have found the online demonstration of the product "Headtsart Oracle Designer" at the url :
    http://otn.oracle.com/products/headstart/headstartdemo_viewlet.html
    I would like to compare the functionalities of these two products (the tabs option for example).
    For a new application, we have the choice between "Headstart for apps"+"Oracle Application" environment or "Headstart Oracle Designer" alone.
    If no demonstration exists, could you tell me the difference between these two products (i have understood that one run under OA and the other run alone) ?

    Hi,
    Headstart for Apps and Headstart Oracle Designer are based on the same idea, and therefore there are many similarties between the two. The main differences are:
    * the look and feel
    Headstart for Apps is used to generate Oracle Form screens with the same look and feel as a standard Oracle Application screen. Headstart Oracle Designer has its own look and feel.
    Headstart for Apps also enables/eases some Oracle Applications specific look and feel features (although Headstart Oracle Designer has also adopted some of these).
    * dependency of Oracle Applications
    Forms generated with Headstart for Apps cannot run outside the Oracle Applications framework. You will use the same security mechanism as for an Oracle Applications form, the same messaging system, and you can use the standard Oracle Applications built ins.
    Headstart Oracle Designer runs completely outside the Oracle Applications framework, there is a separate messaging system, and you cannot use the Oracle Applications built ins.
    Hope this helps!

  • Difference between open,fetch,close and a for loop

    Is there much difference in looping a query using fetch loop or a for loop?
    Example:
    For x in (select * from ....) loop
    end loop;
    and
    OPEN c_cursor;
    LOOP
    FETCH c_cursor INTO myVar;
    EXIT WHEN c_cursor%NOTFOUND;
    END LOOP;
    close c_cursor;
    Let's say we have a few thousand users using a function that uses this code. Would you see much difference in speed? Suppose i forget to close the cursor in the second example. Will that be a major issue if we have a very large userbase or with oracle close the cursor themself after a while? The cursor wont lock the record, right? So even if we forget to close the cursor we won't get a deadlock i suppose. Only if we declare the cursor for update but that's not the case.

    simple test case to prove the point

  • CompareTo in a String (differences between weight in Java and DB)

    Gives equal weight java and oracle to a String?
    I mean, If i order a list (with records) using compareTo, is it going to give me the same result as if i use order by with oracle in the same records??
    Thanx.

    That depends on locale and collation settings. So it's definitely possible to have the same order (and in the simple cases you don't need to do anything).

  • Any difference between pre-installed apps and previous versions?

    I just bought a MacBook Air. I immediately transfered everything from my Time Capsule backup of my 2008 MacBook. The software on the MacBook was completely up to date via the App Store or Software Update. It didn't occur to me to consider that the new Air came with software pre-installed until just now.
    Now I'm wondering if I overwrote anything important or if the Time Capsule/Time Machine restore takes into account anything that was pre-installed or if all the software was the same already and it doesn't matter. Normally, I could just use the included restore disks that come with the computer to answer this question myself but with the new Airs, there are no disks.
    So I don't really understand how something like a new MacBook Air works. If I wiped the disk and used Lion Recovery would I get everything back that was on the original installation? This seems logical but I don't know if it is true. Anyone know the details about how this works?
    Thanks.

    Just to double check.  Go into the Purchased tab of the App store.  You should see the apps are "installed".  If they have a button that says "install", I'd do that.
    Setup assistant knows not to copy over newer software,

    Presently we have ITS based ESS/MSS in our landscape and customer wants to go for Webdynpro ESS/MSS. and Webdynpro ESS/MSS is already installed in the sandbox system where ITS based ESS/MSS is already there.
