Any FLV files with Nellymoser audio are required

Hi,
I'm writing a converter of FLV with Nellymoser audio into MP3
format.
I've tested it with NM audio of 8 kHz, but I need yet to test
it with
audio of higher sampling rates (like 11 kHz, 22 kHz and 44
kHz).
Could anybody help me with a small sample of FLV file,
encoded with
Nellymoser audio with a sampling rate higher than 8 kHz?
Thanks in advance.

I just found the problem. Even though my Perian SAID it was up to date, it was only at 1.1.1. My old system that worked correctly still had Perian 1.1.3. I copied that component over and it works fine with the problematic FLV files.

  • I need to output a PAL HDV project from FCP as a PAL DV file with 4 audio t

I need to output a PAL HDV project from FCP as a PAL DV file with 4 audio tracks - specifically one stereo pair to be t1&t3, the other stereo pair to be t2&t4. This is the standard way requested by an international distributor of tv programmes. I understand how to set the sequence in FCP to output 4 audio tracks - either 2 stereo pairs (1&2, + 3&4), or 4 discrete tracks. But how do I then output this as a QT file?
The manual tells me that to export multiple audio tracks, File>Export>QT Movie has it's Config pop-up menu in the Audio Settings area of the General tab of the Sequence Settings. Well, that's set for 4 discrete channels, but the QT export settings only allow for 2 mono or 1 stereo output, and that's what I get when I try it. What it says in the manual just doesn't happen.
Exporting via Compressor, on the other hand, has an abundance of choices of 4-track outputs, none of which are labelled as anything resembling 'discrete'. Would any of those 4.0 settings suffice? Or am I likely to get myself into difficulties further down the line? As I am monitoring for this task on a 2-track audio system, I cannot confirm exactly what I am getting when I use any of those settings.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
    John

Call me naive, but I've not heard of splitting the stereo pairs like this before.
What broadcaster? (perhaps one of our EU regulars will drop in...)
You can do all sorts of pairing but it is coincident tracks pairing- eg 1/2 + 3/4
    Sorry I can't offer anything.

  • Swapping .FLV files with Spry

I'm trying to make an HTML page using Spry to play videos
with the Spry element of the page pulling in a Title, Description
and filename {clip} from an XML file. So when you click on the
Title/Description it replaces the current .flv file with the next
    file {clip}.
This is all working well in any browser except IE so I
thought it must need the AC_FL_RunContent script added.
Unfortunately when I add this script the first movie in the
playlist plays but now all the other elements from the page are
    lost.
It's obviously something to do with the RunContent script,
but does anyone know what exactly?
Also any other suggestions on how I could make this page (I'm
desparate to start using the new features in Dreamweaver though -
    hence the XML element).

    Hi all
Hope to get some help with Elements Organizer.
I have 12-15 years of digital photos that I now want to import into my newly aquirede Adobe Elements Organizer / Photoshop. Since my Nikon names the files with continous numbers from 0001 to 9999 I have multiple files with the same name although they are not alike at all. My previous software had no problems with that since I keep the photos in separate file folders based on import date. I generally import photos after each event and so name the folder with the date and some event info (e.g. 2014.12.24 - Christmas at grandparents).
That is a common situation, I have the same limitation for files not going over 9999 on my Canons...
Now - when I import my photos into Elements Organizer I get a lot of error messages with "same name exist .....) Hmmmmmmm
Please sate the exact wording of the error message, I have never seen a message stating 'same name exist...' or equivalent; only messages about files already in the catalog. Files already in the catalog mean that some files have the same 'date taken' and file size in Kb.
Any suggestions. I'm using a mac and tried to rename files based on date taken. The mac can do that but it takes ages to go into each folder and run the renaming script there.
I also use a similar folder creation scheme (such a date naming is the default for the downloader). That way I never get a message about duplicates for the same file names.
However - I can't be the first or only person with this problem so I figure that some workaround must be known out there. Maybe the import action can recognize date taken or - well. Thank you very much in advance if you can help me out here.
You can alsways set the downloader to rename the imported files with a unique new name, there are many options in the 'advanced' dialog of the downloader. I don't know about Macs, but I don't thing there is a difference.

  • QT H.264 files with two audio tracks. Quicktime plays 2nd track first. ***?

I've been experimenting with H.264 (AVC) and my DVDs. Using Handbrake, I ripped a DVD to MP4 (H.264) and including the director's commentary as the second track.
When I play the MP4 with Quicktime Player, it plays the director's commentary instead of the main soundtrack. VLC, however, correctly plays the first track (main movie audio track) and it allows me to select the second track via a menu.
To get Quicktime to play the proper track, I have to open "Movie Properties" and manually uncheck the second track. This was never a problem with DivX/XviD encoded files with two audio tracks; Quicktime Player correctly played the first track.
Why does Quicktime ignore the first audio track in MP4s (but not AVIs) and is there a way to correct this?

    I do have QT Pro.
H.264 files are usually saved in a MP4 container. That's what Handbrake, ffpegX, and D-Vision create, anyway.
The "Choose Language" option is greyed out (unavailable) when I open this H.264 MP4 in Quicktime. If I try to change the settings in "Movie Properties," it says that I must save it with the .MOV file suffix.
It makes no sense to me that Quicktime Player can correctly identify the main audio soundtrack in a XviD file with an AVI container but not in a H.264 video with a MP4 container which Apple has been touting as the latest, greatest thing. Even VLC, an open source product still in beta, gets it right.

  • Can Premiere Pro CC handle AVI files with multiple audio streams?

I have an AVI file with two audio streams and I am wondering if there's any way to access the second stream in PP? So far I can only get the first stream to play. I know I can extract the second stream in for instance VirtualDub, but it would be nice to not have to do that in the interest of an effective workflow.

Hello again Jim! Thank you for your reply, you seem to be working hard here on the forums! The info I have found from 2011 suggested that it wasn't possible then, but I was hoping maybe they added this feature.

  • Just upgraded an iMac with 4GB Memory and Intel Processor from 10.6.8 to Mavericks and Quicktime plays m4v files with stuttering audio

I just upgraded an iMac with 4GB Memory and 3.33 Ghz  Intel Core Duo Processor from 10.6.8 to Mavericks.  I now have Quicktime 10.3 which plays m4v files with stuttering audio.  This is a nightmare as I use Quicktime a lot in my research.  I have seen similar threads but so far only reporting the problem.  For now I have installed Quicktime Player 10.7 (which appears in utilities, leaving Quicktime 10.3 in the main applications list) which plays the same videos with no problem, but it would be good to know if anyone has managed to find a workaround at all, or know if Apple have plans to do anything about it?

Slow performance after installing Yosemite on an older Mac is often caused by inadequate memory. Although you can install the upgrade on a Mac with 2 GB of memory, experience has shown that at least 4 GB is needed for full performance.
Select About This Mac from the Apple menu. If you have less than 4 GB of memory, and your model has upgradable memory, install as much as it can take, or at least that much. Any reputable RAM vendor will have a web form in which you can select the Mac model and be directed to compatible parts.

  • Flash Player for FLV files with alpha channel encoded

My goal is to play the the transparent background flash video on the bottom right hand corner similar to the video on this website : http://www.dropshipblueprint.com/
I already have the FLV file with alpha channel encoded.  I was made to understand I will need a special flash player that can read alpha channel in the flv file to make the background transparent? Is this correct? If yes, then how to accomplish this or where do I get that player, maybe opensourece player?  If the player is not a solution then how do I accomplish my end objective taking into consideration I have the FLV file with the alpha channel encoded.  Thanks for your help. Sam

    Sam,
    Welcome to the forum.
Where do you need to play this "sprite" (the name for such a Flash video)?
If you need to add that to a Video, then there could be a few challenges in PrE.
If you need to add it to a Web site, then Flash Player (free from Adobe) should be able to display that.
Can you please give us just a bit more info, on how you wish to use the sprite?
    Good luck,

  • How do I export from FCP to a QuickTime file with multiple audio channels?

I'm delivering a project where the first step is to generate an HD Cam SR master, which I will be doing at a post-production lab. They will then do a QC check for me. To generate this HD Cam SR master, they need to me to bring in my 98-minute long movie on a firewire hard drive, in five equal parts -- QuickTime files. From these five QT files, the lab will then be creating an HD Cam SR master that will have...
dialogue on tracks 1 and 2
effects on tracks 3 and 4
music on tracks 5 and 6
    MY QUESTION
    a) I don't see any way to separate these audio tracks accordingly in the FCP menu for QuickTime export. Does anyone have any experience doing this?
    b) And does anyone know the most efficient way to combine timeline audio tracks for this purpose? I have my dialogue sitting on the first FOUR audio tracks, actually. To deliver this film, I'll need to crush these four audio tracks to two, as listed above. I could generate an AIFF file, I suppose, import it back onto the timeline, sync it up, and then re-export along with the visuals to make the final QT file, but this seems like a generation loss.
    thanks,
    Shanked
PS the movie is made up of footage from a Sony PMW EX1. I used the codec "XDCAM 1080 24p 35mbs VBR" for editing in FCP. I'll either export to QT using this same codec or switch to "Apple ProRes" if my machine can somehow maintain the sync.

The following will answer both your questions a) and b).
Click on your master timeline and press cmd+0 (zero) to bring up Sequence Settings, then click on the Audio Outputs tab on the right. Click on the Outputs option and change it to 6. You can leave them as Stereo pairs.
Now, back on your timeline, you need to make sure all your audio is organised so each track. A1, A2, A3, A4 etc has all the relevant media on it.
Then, on the left of the timeline you see the Destination toggle buttons, then you see the Padlocks to lock tracks, then you have the Toggle Auto Select squares. If you right-click on the Toggle Auto Select squares you bring up a little sub-menu, at the top of this list you'll see Audio Outputs, which will show the stereo channels for that particular track. As you've changed the number of Audio Outputs in the Sequence Settings, the list will show: 1&2, 3&4, 5&6. You just tick whichever channels you want.
In your case, you have dialogue on the first 4 tracks, no problem, just go down through tracks 1,2,3 and 4 as described above and assign these to Audio Outputs 1&2.
Then just go down through your music and effects audio tracks and assign them accordingly.
Now, when you export your timeline as a self-contained media file, it will have different audio channels.
I hope that makes sense. When you change the number of audio outputs as described in the first step, I believe the rest of it is fairly self explanatory, once you know where the settings are.

  • Export QuickTime file with new audio and maintain the file size and quality as the original.

I shot some footage for a client yesterday and ran into an issue. To make a long story short I have QuickTime mov files shot with my Panasonic GH4 that have a buzzing sound in the audio track. I have clean audio from a recorder that can be sync'd. Is there a way for me to do this for the client and deliver them as the same QuickTime file but with the clean audio and keep the file size close to the original and not have quality loss in the image?
If so I will probably put all of the spanned clips together from each interview and sync the audio before delivery. I am just not sure which codec will give the client the same quality footage compared to the originals and not have a massive difference in the overall file size. They did request that they be Quicktime MOV files though so that is a must.
I don't see this as an option in the codecs in the export settings in PP, but is there a way to export as ProRes or another MAC native codec that will save them from having to convert it on their end? I am on a PC with Adobe CS5.5 so I am not too familiar with MACs, but from what I understand they would need to convert the files if I sent them straight out of the camera.
I found some related search results for this but they pertained to "Best quality" for export. I am not sure how the varying options work but I don't want to create files that are considerably larger, just not less quality.
If anyone has experience with this it would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Cole

Here's the workflow: I imported the video footage into iMovie '08 and did my edits. Then I exported it (share) to my desktop with compression set @ 740 X 480. Then I used QuickTime Pro to fix the audio track. The file plays perfectly with both audio tracks working. It's a QuickTime file (.mov).
I hope this jars any replies as to why the file when uploaded to my iWeb gallery drops the second audio track.
    Hmm,

  • How do I replay a FLV file with flvPlayback AS3

    Hey Everyone.
Pretty new to Flash and AS3- so I apologize in advance if my terminology is all wacked out.   I've researched this topic for the better part of a day and cannot find my solution.
I've got a .flv file uploaded on my server that plays just fine.  I created the video in Apple Motion, exported out a .MOV reformatted it using Adobe Media Encoder.  Imported into Flash using the import video menu command.  I ended up with a .swf and a .flv.  I upload both to my server, built a webpage and use the swf to play the .flv.
Anyway.  Everything plays.  I need a button that a viewer can push and replay the video once it stops.
I can create shapes in flash and can turn them into buttons.  Easy enough.  Seems like I need to create a script to go with that frame in the timeline?
I keep reading about creating a listener and an event? But it's confusing finding answer because the is no clarification whether people are using AS2 or AS3 and I feel like I'm just chasing my tail.
Can anyone point me to a tutorial or help me out?  Any advice is appreciated.
You can see the video here.
    http://www.evisland.com/Pages/How_It_Works.html

What you need to do is
1  drag the movie to the stage.
2  give frame 1 a lable of "frame1"    You can do this by clicking on frame one, then in the property inspector there is a field labled frame lable.
3  Go to the last frame and make a play button.  Give the button an instance name of "player"
4  here is the event listener code that will activate when the "player" button is clicked.  It will go back to frame 1 and play.
To Clarify this is Action Script 3
    stop();
    player.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,startOver);
    function startOver(event:MouseEvent)
    gotoAndPlay("frame1");
    Thats all.

  • Help importing WMV files with 4 audio tracks....

    Hello,
I am using a PC to run a robot show. The show runs off of WMV files recorded with 4 audio tracks.
The "front" audio tracks are the left and right chanels for sound.
The "rear" audio tracks are the signals the show runs off of.
(If you want to see the show... it's here http://www.yorkmiss.com/Curtains.wmv
I run the audio files using the windows media player and as you can see... it works fine.
However, I would like to use the I-tunes player since I can then controld the show remotely using my I-Touch.
The problem is that every time I import one of the audio file into I-tunes, it converts it to a new type of file that "blends" the front and rear chanels of audio together.
I've tried every different option in the import prefrences list - and they all have the same result.
Does anyone know a way of playing the files "as-is" without converting them, or is there a way of converting them I do not know about?
Here's an example of one of the files:
    http://www.yorkmiss.com/ShowbizKylesmom_504.wma
Any help or suggestions would be welcome and appreciated!
    Thanks in advance,
    Beth

Yes, I understand that now... but is there a way to convert to those file types while still preserving the 4 seperate audio chanels?
    Thanks, Beth

  • Compressor 3.5 How can I create ProRes file with AIFF audio?

    Hi,
I've had some issues with audio playing in FCP 7.  I finally found that if I use an aiff audio file 48 16bit it would play okay in the Timeline.  I'm able to create an aiff audio only file in Compression, but if I use ProRes 422 for the Video it will use "passthrough" audio, which won't play in FCP.  I can turn passthrough off, but then I don't have the option of using an AIFF file, just a bunch of other stuff.  Tried the first available option, but it was either silence, or a screeching audio sound so loud it probably woke the neighbors.  There is something called "Apple Lossless", but that doesn't have the right bit rate it seems.
Anyway, does anyone know how I can create a ProRes 422 file with the correct audio?  Or maybe the only option is to put the video in the FCP Timeline, delete original audio, then add audio that works?  Then perhaps export THAT and compress again into one file?
Hope any of this makes sense, I have a small project I would rather edit in FCP7, but if I can't get it to work at all, I could just use Premiere Pro for this one.
    Any ideas?  Thanks!

Hmmm, this is weird.  I had already converted once to the format you suggested.  When I imported the file into FCP even the original didn't play right.  With the sound on my computer turned all the way down, there was no real audio, just a screeching sound so loud it would wake the dead.  I had to turn off the sound completely to not have my ear drums burst.  Put a small portion of the clip in the Timeline, there was no beeping, but instead no sound at all.
I thought maybe I had done something wrong, so I chose a much smaller clip (45sec instead of 1:30 hours) that was in the exact same format the larger clip was.  That one played just fine in FCP after conversion, so I re-did the longer clip but got the screeching sound again as soon as I tried to play the clip after import.  When I play that same longer clip in Quicktime, the audio is normal, no screeching at all.
Any idea why this might be happening?  It must somehow have something to do with the length of the clip.  But how could that be??
