Any gui sites

Does any one have or know any sites with examples of GUIs built with swing. I'm talking images too not just code and not just plain guis, ones with borders of all sorts, data grids, buttons, java 2D, color, intuition and heart. I'm sick of rules of thumb that say GUIs should be grey and boring so as not to confuse or irritate the user. I am not making an accounting application I'm making retail software system that young people will use. ow my index finger is sore from typing, I'm going outside.

Can not view any Facebook site any ideas?

My Galaxy S4 will not allow me to view any Facebook site. I have tried using Wi-Fi and data without any luck.
I have done restarts, virus scans and tried several ways to view a Facebook site. I go to those that I have bookmarked and tried a search for the site and then try to click into it and still cannot connect. I have also gone to several locations that have Wi-Fi in case it was just my home system.
I get a notice of a server error. My wife has the same phone bought at the same time and has not had trouble with this issue even for the same Facebook sites. My phone seems more glitchy that my wife's. At times I can't get the keyboard to go off the screen unless I restart the phone.

It is working again. I was using the internet explorer app to view the Facebook sites. I do not have a Facebook site so I was not using their app. I downloaded Firefox app and that allows me to view the Facebook sites I visit.
I do not know why I can not use internet explorer as the settings are the same as my wife's phone and she can view them.
I tried the battery trick and that did not work and I also cleared the history and cache on ie.

My wife and I share our Mac OS 10.6.8 since downloading Skype on her account she can not stay connected to any web site she pulls up. I removed Skype from here account but it stll happens. What can I do to clear this up?

O.k. Thanks for the clarification. I poked around in my TimeCapsule router's settings (TimeCapsule is an Apple Airport Extreme router with attached hard drive for wireless backup/storage). Unfortunately, it doesn't look like I can disable multicasting with the TimeCapsule. I can change the multicasting 'rate'. Settings are Low, Medium, High. It's currently set to Low.
I did a few web searches, and found an Apple.com article: <http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3789?viewlocale=en_US> which explained how to disable Bonjour Service Advertisements. I believe this is the same thing as 'Multicasting'. The process is a modification of "/System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.mDNSResponder.plist", and a restart of the Mac is required afterwards.
I'm a bit concerned that disabling multicasting will interfere with my AppleTVs and iTunes music sharing, but I may try it next time I'm up for a computer workout. This task will require editing of system preference files, could require multiple restarts, might interfere with my AppleTVs, could interfere with my iTunes file sharing, doesn't have a documented relationship to my problem.
This is way to difficult for something that should just work. Did you say you had read something about a relationship between this bonjour multicasting and smb connectivity? If it was online could you post the link?
I'm currently able to connect to the drive using NFS, but I have to manually configure that connection each time I reboot (can't get the 'Disk Utility' configured to do it automatically). While it's working with NFS, it's not my preferred connect method (for various reasons).

How can I set Firefox 8.0 to accept 3rd party cookies ONLY from selected sites but NOT from any other sites?

I do not like to accumulate 3rd party cookies and would simply not check the Accept 3rd Party Cookies box in Preferences. BUT in order to use my bank's web page I have to accept 3rd party cookies from a separate site that manages some of their transactions (like paying bills). This means I have to accept 3rd party cookies and then delete them by hand OR I have to check the accept box each time I use the bank's website and then uncheck it when I am done.

What I want to do is ACCEPT 3rd party cookies only from ONE site but NOT from any other site.

If I am browsing on site such as Ebay or any shopping site, and click on an item, when I return to the search page I am once again at the top of the page and have to search down for where I was in the list of items.

This is not only on Ebay it is everywhere I search. Firefox goes back to the top of the page . It is annoying to have to figure out exactly where I was if I left the page and then returned. This is a hinderance when using Firefox. I have considered uninstalling it because of the inconvenience of 're-searching' after already doing a search. Firefox used to take me right back to where I was if I left a page, but that feature is not working now. I am not sure how to change this in the settings.

Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

Unable to upload photos to any hosting site since upgrading to Tiger....

When using FireFox uploading photos to any site is no problem so I'm wondering if there is something in Safari's preferences that needs to be addressed to correct this minor problem but I haven't been able to locate it.

this problem is almost always due to Safari's web cache being disabled, either manually, or after using some 3rd party Safari add-on or enhancer app.
Use Finder to view the folder /Home/Library/Caches/ & ctrl-click on the Safari folder & choose 'get info'. you may see that the Folder is 'locked' or set to 'Read only' ..... Uncheck the 'locked' box if it is checked & change the Read Only to Read & Write & your problem should be resolved.
You could also quit safari & trash the entire /Home/Library/Caches/Safari/ folder. Safari will create a new folder with normal read/write access when it is started next time.

DW CS6 Unable to Find .cgi Files in any Local Site

I noticed the other day while searching across local websites for particular keywords in DW CS6 that the Find operation could not find them in any .cgi files in any local sites even though the keywords do exist in the .cgi files. I made sure that the Find had the entire sites as the target for searching. It seems odd that when DW CS6 can open .cgi files its Find cannot find keywords in them.
Have other users experiened the same problem? Let me know.

I have down loaded Fire Fox so many times and each time there is no address line to place any web site addresses.
I have a laptop using windows 7

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in Full Screen mode with all toolbars hidden.
* Press F11 to toggle full screen mode (Firefox/File > Full Screen)
If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key, that should make the menu bar appear.
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
* If items are missing then open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
* If a missing item is in the toolbar palette then drag it back from the Customize window on the toolbar
* If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up.

Make sure that your security software (firewall) isn't blocking or interrupting that connection.
Do a malware check with a few malware scan programs. 
You need to use all programs because each detects different malware. 
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database before doing a scan.

Unable to connect to any secure sites with any browser

I am unable to connect to any secure sites. I downloaded Firefox with the hopes that it would fix the problem but it did not. What ever browser I use I cant connect to any secure sites. All of the other pages load correctly.
I have a PC notebook that I tried to load the same sites it worked fine, so I know that it is not a connecting problem.

Are you connecting via dial up or high speed through a router? If that latter, check the firewall settings of the router. I have my router set to medium (high, medium, low, & none) and it works most of the time. But occationally I get to sites that won't load and setting the router (temporarily) to low usually allows me to access those sites. So perhaps this is your issue.
I think there are ways to add those sites to router security lists or "services" that will now let them through with the higher security settings, but I need it so rarely I haven't bothered to figure it out yet.

You can look at the pref security.ssl.renego_unrestricted_hosts on the about:config page and add the sites that you want to allow to the string value. 
Separate multiple host names by a comma.
To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page. 
You can use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a pref more easily.

Java error when using cfhttp to any SSL site

On only one of our boxes (CF 8.01. Windows 2003 x86 SP1 - we
are getting our it guys to update it to SP2), if we use cfhttp to
get to any SSL site, we receive the following error:
I/O Exception: java.security.NoSuchAlgorithmException: Error
constructing implementation (algorithm: Default, provider: SunJSSE,
class: com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.DefaultSSLContextImpl)

On the box, we can browse to the same site fine using IE 7.
This code works fine on every other development and production box
we have. I've tried several different public sites via SSL but all
give the same error.

Thanks for your input. For reference, I'll call the working
box #1 and the broken box #2.
We needed to add lines to the Classpath section and JVM
arguments section for a SAML project but the settings are the same
on boxes 1 and 2.
The jsse.jar file contains the exact same classes and is
617,098 bytes on both boxes.
The modified dates for the classes in
com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl are all 4/25/2007 12:33pm on both
boxes.
The DefaultSSLContextImpl.class file is 4356 bytes on both
boxes.
Neither box has the jsse.jar referenced in the Classpath, but
both boxes reference an older version (6/2/2003) loading in the "CF
Server Java Class Path" in the CF Administrator Settings Summary.

E:/ColdFusion8/runtime/../wwwroot/WEB-INF/cfform/jars/jsse.jar
I think this is for the old client-side java cfforms but I
wonder if cfhttp is loading this .jar on the broken box?
Box 1 is only a few months old and had CF 7 before upgrading
to CF 8.01.
Box 2 was upgraded from CF 6.1 > 7 > 8.01.
Can you think of anything besides adding the jsse.jar to the
CF Classpath? I will be able to try it in a few days but the
working boxes function fine without the Classpath entry.

Firefox won't load any web site under my login, if I use another account it works fine, this problem start with 7.01 update. I have 8.0 now, other browser works fine with no problem.

safari and chrome work fine, in fact I am using chrome to type this up. This problem only limited to my account, I have created other account and firefox work as it should with no problem. I am unsure with else to clear to get firefox working again.

Update: This is NOT just related to "Yahoo" pages, while this problem first began with some of my Yahoo pages, it is now also happening with other NON Yahoo things I want to load up. Like Twitter, or Links in emails that load Blank, or even images within emails that show up Blank in the preview part of Yahoo mail. It is NOT a Yahoo issue as I have loaded up my Yahoo Mail in IE and Chrome, and everything loads wonderfully. I can even load up sites like Twitter, and other websites that will NOT load in Firefox, but they come up fine in other Browsers.
I have done the ONLY suggestion that came from Firefox Tech support, to load up FF in Safe Mode, but the problems still exists. I have uninstalled FF and re-loaded it, but the same problem is there.
Does anyone have any ideas here at all? I can't seem to get any Fire Fox help, so I am reaching out to the community here to see if anyone can help.... Thank you !!
